Vinny and his very capable side-kick, Brandon, have been a pleasure to have working here. Their workmanship is meticulous, their demeanor always professional, and at the end of each day they left the work area neat and tidy. I have yet to find one spot of paint that dripped on a floor or piece of furniture. Along the way, they did lots of "extras" that were not mentioned in the original contract. We have just moved into the house, and I had lots of questions about things that I didn't know how to work or that needed repair. Vinny fixed lots of them, always with good humor, and didn't add extra to the agreed price. He is very knowledgeable about all things contracting, and you can bet that I will use him for any future work. He has my whole-hearted endorsement!!!!

Vinny arrived promptly and was so polite, respectful and clean that the tenant actually called me to tell me so. The tenant asked if I had used this repairman before and I stated that I have not and that I got him on Angie's list. She said that we should continue using him as he kept the work area clean, made the repairs and was very polite. Vinny fixed the leak and was able to repair the fan instead of having it changed out. His original estimate was a little higher and he called back with the final lower amount because it was not as much work as he originally thought based on my description. That in and of itself states a lot.

Vinny was punctual and polite to the tenant in the home. As stated before this particular bathroom is handicapped accessible so the flooring was angled for drainage rather than flat. Vinny had to work hard to get the current toilet bowl off and build up the area so it would sit right on the specially installed floor after the seal was repaired. All ofthe work was completed professionally and the area was cleaned after the work was completed. This was my second experience with Vinny on a water leak and I would hily recommend him.

I got three estimates for the same work and Home Repair Unlimited beat them all. I was kind of leary the first time I used Vinny because of one bad mark from a dissatisfied customer. After he did two minor jobs that were reasonably priced and repaired perfectly, I dicided to put him on this big project. I made it clear that the home was to go on the market and that any cost saving measures would be taken if possible without cutting corners. All of the above work was performed with fine craftmenship (the cutting and finish work on the new base molding) and expert painting. I believe that I saved a fortune not having to replace the flooring because he was able to repair the tiles. He took out the foyer section salvaging them for the repairs and then he retiled the entry with a modern complementing design and used the salvaged pieces for the other tile repairs needed.He was also able to sand the wooden floors and re-finish them to match the other wood in the home. He was contracted to take any tear out garbage such as the carpets with them but he also went out of his way to remove the vast garbage pile we were collecting from the household items. Vinny was prompt and showed up when stated every day, and yes, even early in the morning. He had until 05-14-13 to finish all of the stated work but he was finished by 05-01-13. He even held off a scheduled trip that he had because he would not leave this project until finished like he said when the contract was signed. I think Vinny and his team did a lot more than expected and did it all to perfection. Again he even went above and beyond with trash removal and extras not quoted in his price. The original estimate and work totaled $10,000.00 but when they were done with the original contract I signed a new contract for the exterior touch up painting, entry and post light sanding and mounting, trim repairs, etc. I do not know about the other guy but I have a number of properties and I have just found my regular handiman.

He was fine and there was nothing that I didn't like. He did a good job and did it in the amount of time that he said he would do it in. His cost was also reasonable for what he was doing.

He was very good always on time. He has done a few jobs in the past for me.

They come when they say and do a nice job.

First, I received a ridiculous quote that even he agreed with after I turned it down. After much discussion and my desperation, he came down considerably on his price and I agreed. First day, Vinny calls me to tell me he's on his way after he's already more than 30 minutes late and when he arrives I suspect alcohol but he seemed ok. Three days later he is finished (Vinny does not like to start early). Immediately after he left I had to call him back because the faucet leaked more than before but he did come back.. All was ok except he got carried away installing cleats in the closet and left them for me to decide what to do, he also did not mask over the screws with filler and paint. But it was done and I needed to move on. A few days later I decided I wanted another lower and deeper shelf in the same closet. After much thought I called Vinny back and he did the install; the shelf is ok but with one big flaw, he was so off on the cut on one end of the shelf the gap goes from acceptable to about 3/4 inch. He says the wall was off but I thought the whole idea was to cut the shelf to the wall, guess not. Was not worth it to me to push it. I was over all the aggravation or so I thought..... I had to call Vinny back a few days later because I noticed "water hammer" when using hot water. Never had it before he fixed the faucet and when I first heard it I could not figure out what was going on. Vinny finally agrees pipes are not loose so he drained the water lines but still a problem. He said he would come back with a manufacturer's cartridge instead of the off market he used. Well, that was the last time I heard from him. I still have water hammer and I suspect it's a result of Vinny shutting off/on the water supply abruptly and too quickly several times while trying to fix the leaky faucet. Now, it's going to cost me a small fortune or I'm going to be faced with more damage down the road. Vinny is a nice guy and seems quite knowledgeable, but I question his ability to apply that knowledge. I can accept honest mistakes but I can't accept someone who makes excuses and that's what I got from Vinny. He doesn't stay on point, rushes and doesn't have the appropriate tools. As a result jobs take too long and result in mistakes. He's ok for little things like ceiling fans, lighting, etc., NOT plumbing, carpentry or painting. 7/25 Update Called plumber to fix "water hammer" and it turned out to be air in the water lines. Vinny had drained the lines to try to resolve the problem but he did not drain them correctly and I ended up having to pay to have it done! Although Vinny did call me to come back he acted like nothing was wrong and didn't even mention why he didn't call back sooner or my post here on Andie's list. This guy will not come near my house again!!!!

Fine job well satisfied will not hesitate to call them again.

WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY THE WORK WAS DONE WELL AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY. WE DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT OUR SKYLIGHTS LEAKING. FEEL THE THE WORK WAS DONE PROPERLY.
