After wasting several weeks chasing around a handyman who was recommended by a friend and getting promises for phone calls and visits which were never kept, I consulted Angie?s List for a handyman. Based on positive reviews, I selected Vinnys Home Repair Unlimited and left a message for Vinny. I received a prompt return call and a visit to look at our pocket door problem the same day. Work was scheduled for about a week later due to pre-existing commitments ? and the fact that our job was not an emergency. (We have 2 other bathrooms in the house.) The short version of the story is that the job took over a month to complete. We admittedly made the project harder with our requirement that the adjacent wall not be torn out to get to the door track to replace it. This limited Vinny to working with what he could reach ? about half of the pocket door track. He also needed to replace part of the door hardware ? the rollers. Due to the age of the hardware, the parts were not available at any local hardware store and had to be located and then ordered. He also had to work around our vacation schedule and his prior work commitments. After he and his son worked for several hours trying to get the door to work correctly on the old track with the new hardware, we reached a mutual decision to replace the heavy solid core door with a hollow core door to facilitate it running on the old track. Vinny went out that evening, found the door after visiting 3 stores, took it home and painted it and returned the next day to install it and complete the project. Instead of abandoning us when the job became difficult, he kept at it until a good solution was reached. His work is high quality, he always arrived when he said he would, he left the job site clean and neat, he and his son were professional and courteous and his price was fair. We would not hesitate to hire him again.

Vinny came to my house to for an estimate to replace a section of laminate flooring that had been damaged by a leaking a/c unit. Vinny was very personable and professional. He inspected what needed to be done, explained what he would have to do to replace the section of flooring, and gave me a price to complete the work. We actually ended up not having the work done because we were selling the house and our realtor said it was not worth fixing. But in the future, if we have any repair work that needs to be done, I would not hesitate giving Vinny a call.

Vinny always responded to my messages within 10 minutes. He called the evening before the appointment to confirm and he showed up when he said he would. Vinny is personable, friendly and competent. He completed each task leaving the area looking like new. I am very happy with Vinnys Home Repair. I noticed on his business card one of his services was Pressure Cleaning. Before he left I made an appointment to have my house and sidewalks cleaned. I highly recommend Vinnys Home Repair. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

The house was not up to par for the VA Home Inspector. My regular handyman was unavailable. The re-inspection by the VA inspector was due in five days. i looked through Angie's List at the same time panicking. Who could I find that would start immediately ? I finally called Angie's List and the wonderful girl gave me a few local handy men. I called Vinny and he met me that very evening. We discussed the job and even though he was already on another job He said that he would work me in. He was very helpful in explaing what needed to be done and stated he would even work on it through the weekend. The day of the re-inspection Vinny even came to discuss the problems with the Inspector and reassured her that one of the molding areas did not need to be replaced (wood rot vs wood discoloration). I was extremely impressed with Vinny's work ethics and his understanding of both my situation and the work that did need to be done (and the unneeded) . On top of all this he has a great personality!

Vinny did a great job! Even though it was a small job, he was very thorough and professional with all that he did. I would highly recommend him. He was meticulous with keeping the area clean, or better, than he found it. (Vacuumed area before attaching dryer wires/attachment.) In addition to this, he also showed professionalism through communicating with me ahead of time what he would need to do to repair the bed frame. I agreed and now I am so happy with the way it looks. My initial call to Vinny was picked up on the second ring. He was busy but called me back when he said he would. We made an appointment and Vinny was even a little early. The work was done rapidly, correctly and checked to make sure it was all working and clean before he left. A little expensive but work was done well and timely. I would definitely recommend him for plumbing and carpentry work.

Well....Vinnie did it again!! He is my ONE STOP shopping guy when it comes to EVERYTHING!! We were having big problems with our garage door and he came over to evaluate the problem, and suggested the NEW belt driven door, complete with a battery back up in case electric was off.....PLUS the door he recommended would shut itself within 5 min ( or whatever time you want) cause as a senior we always forget the little things..... It is SO quiet too....we just love it! Needless to say he was knowledgeable, very well versed in installation and did EVERYTHING I expected him to do and saved us money I am sure. I have recommended him to all my friends and family!! THANK YOU AGAIN VINNIE.......YOU are the VERY BEST guy I know of in Brevard to do it all!!

It was a result of the original builder in 1985 using nails instead of screws to holding the attaching board to the ceiling. Vinnie had to effect the repairs thru the attic, using the limited working space above the cathedral ceiling. |Everything was well thought out which is indicative of this man's extensive experience. I plan on using Vinnie again.

Vinny is very honest and thorough!!! He explained everything to me step by step. My schedule is very full and Vinny is very flexible! He answered all my questions and even took late evening phone calls when we had questions about new jobs we would like him to do. We have already asked him to come back to do the same type of ceiling work in another property we own. Many friends have seen his work in our garage and have asked for his phone number to start calling him to do work in their homes.

Our first interaction with Vinny was to have a new toilet installed. The old toilet was leaking and was sitting unlevel. Vinny replaced the toilet and fixed the floor so the toilet was level. Everything was done quickly and neatly. He is very professional and personable. We had him return about a week later to hook up faucets after having new counter tops installed in the kitchen and the bathrooms. Again, he was very efficient and made sure to ask us if he had any questions about how we wanted things done. We have been very happy to know that we have someone that we feel is reliable as well as honest to do the things that we are unable to do for ourselves.

He came over and looked at the problem an knew what had to be done to fix the drain.Came back the next day and did a great job.

Vinnie installed very delicate glass tiles that we purchased for a backsplash in our kitchen. There were many cuts to be made and the job required a lot of tedious work. This task gave him an opportunity to display his artistic talent and he did an exceptional job not only with the tile setting but with the grout work as well. What really impressed me was that he came back the next day to check his work, make some final adjustments, and do a final inspection. Now that's a professional who takes pride in his work!

As with most people in 2014, we have a wide array of technology - both wired and wireless. And with this technology comes the need to arrange it in an organized manner. Vinnie is familiar with technology and has the skills and talents to organize this equipment. The end result is that all of our equipment is neatly organized with hidden wires and fully functional. The large TVs are mounted safely and securely on the walls in the best possible viewing positions. A very professional job.

What was really nice about this job was that Vinnie met with us first to discuss the various types of under counter lighting. That really helped us choose the right under counter lighting for us. The lights are beautiful and create the desired effect that we wanted. All the cabinet pulls were put in correctly and straight. A very professional job by a very pleasant man to have working in your home.

Vinnie helped us rework unused closet space in a guest bedroom into an office by adding electricity and modifying a laminate kitchen counter to fit in the space to serve as work space. He gave additional thought to positioning of the outlet so that it would be in a practical location for us and made certain that the counter was not blocking access to the file cabinets below. His attention to detail has made this space comfortable to work in.

Everything was excellent. He took extra care to insure that the chandeliers were located exactly where we wanted them and the work was perfect, neat, and efficiently performed. The ceiling fan and and light kit work flawlessly and he took the extra time to make certain that there was no noise and that it was balanced at all speeds.

Vinny replaced the exterior door on my 50+ yr. old house. The frame was not level, plumb or even straight! He ended up re-building the door jamb and did so without losing his cool even once! The door fits beautifully, opens and closes perfectly. All the things a person would want a door to do--which wasn't the case before Vinny!!!! Vinny is quick to return phone calls or texts and is very easy to work with. Yep, I'll hire him again as soon as I'm ready for the next project.

It was a WONDERFUL experience. He was referred to me from other Realtors through our internet emailing line, and because they had nothing but good things to say about Vinny, I then checked him out on Angie's List only to find he had excellent reviews! Word of mouth is always a good thing when choosing handy men who can do a job with professional experience, attitudes and results. I would definately refer him to any of my clients and friends with no hesitations..... he is always ON TIME, courteous, and explains what he will do and how much the cost will be. He cleaned up after the job and was proficient in every way I could have expected. He knew all about the types of replacements bulbs for my outdoor lighting, my plumbing problems and my window "guts". He is very well qualified to handle about any problems a home could have.

He is proficient, skilled, and an excellent job. I would hire him anytime. I could not believe how excellent he was for reasonable price. I would highly recommend him to anybody.
