I contacted several of the handymen on your list, and Vinny and his son Brandon of Home Repair Unlimited were the final charm. They were both personable and polite, and after Vinny accommodated us through texting and with his estimate in person, we had no compunction letting them in our house. They completed the installation of a dead-bolt on the front door, a fan/light in the family room, and fixed a gate, all with good humor. They moved a very heavy cast iron stove with the same good humor. Two excellent guys, so professional. Vinny sent a receipt via email right away, and of course they were very punctual.

A couple years ago Vinny helped us with some creaky stairs and was able to add storage under the stairs too. A few months ago he also came an installed our microwave and fixed a door frame. He's done awesome work! We will definitely be calling him for future projects.

Vinny & Brandon performed a top notch job of the installation of the Rogue Fitness RML-3W Fold Back Wall Mount Rack in my garage. I have utilized the rack for a few weeks now and can confirm that it was installed very firmly into the concrete block of my garage. I am quite pleased with the quality of work performed. The overall experience from the initial contact to the conclusion of the service went very smoothly. Vinny contacted me promptly after I left a message regarding the job request. After I provided detail of the job the appointment was scheduled. The day of the appointment Vinny & Brandon arrived on time and we discussed the best place to install the Fold Back Wall Mount Rack in the garage. There were only 2 real options to install the rack and the concrete block portion of the garage was deemed the most suitable. Although it was a tight squeeze they were able to install it perfectly. The job request was quite unusual, but Vinny & Brandon made it happen.

All items were addressed and work was performed to my complete satisfaction. I have some additional items that I am having Vinny come back out to do for me that we discussed while he was here. I would highly recommend him to others. Both he and his son were extremely polite and cleaned up as they went.

Vinny and team performed several long overdue repair/updates for my 30 year home.... Vinny had all of the right parts/tools to complete the jobs, which was a big plus. Vinny is very knowledgeable in a variety of areas/issues. Actually had a different emergency (nothing to do with Vinny's repair work) the next day after Vinny repaired all on my original problems. Vinny and Brandon came soon after I contacted them. They diagnosed the probllem quickly and began repair to stop more damage from occuring. Their quick action prevented what could have been a disaster from happening! Their workmanship is simply outstanding!

We called Vinneys Home Repair thurs. 9/28/2017. Descried job. Appointment made for following Tuesday, 10/3/2017 with a window from 9:30am to 11:00am. No one came and no one called. We have answering system and a back system. Plus my wife is home almost all the time as she is somewhat handicapped.

Everything went fantastically. Vinny coordinated to be there to uninstall prior to the delivery of the new appliances ensuring the appliance vendor would hall-away the old ones without any charge. He then arranged to return and connected the new appliances, ensured every piece was installed correctly, level, and works. I am thrilled with my new appliances. Very professional, courteous, and helpful. Definitely knows what he is doing.

Job went well. Vinny and Son Brandon worked for over a day and a half, removing damaged tiles and preparing the floor for replacement tiles. They used spare tiles and grout that I provided to complete the Job. The floor is now back to normal. NOTE: I used Vinny for another job and was well satisfied, so I called him again.Sometimes you have to wait a while to have Vinny schedule your Job, but the wait is well worth it!

During the initial visit, Vinny gave me an estimate for the work to be done and informed me of the expected timeframe for repairs, letting me know that it would be a couple of weeks because he had just taken on a major project. Upfront honesty! Of course, the repairs were delayed due to Hurricane Irma but Vinny kept me updated and scheduled the work as quickly as possible. He and his son, Brandon, arrived on time and did an excellent job on the projects. Vinny also gave me solid references for tile work in a bathroom remodel, as well as screen repairs, following the storms. I will keep him in my contacts for any future home repairs and would recommend him to friends and family.

Look no further if you want an excellent team for repairs! Vinny and Brandon were wonderful!! They came in totally prepared and did all of my repairs for a very fair price. Loved having them in the house, they were very professional, trustworthy and friendly. They did a great job and I will be hiring them again for other projects that I have in mind.

I could not be happier. The bookcase is gorgeous. Sleek, clean European design. The bookcase looks like it was there from the time the house was built. And it certainly does not look like it is an IKEA Billy Bookcase. I used four regular sized Billy's and one slimmer one - using top extensions as well. Vinny matched the paint color so that it is seamless - you cannot tell at all. The trim on the bottom side of the unit is especially beautiful and ties into the overall baseboard trim that runs through the house. I cannot wait to dress the bookcases with all my precious books and pottery and art from around the world. And the lighting that was adhered to the top of the unit really highlights my most prized possessions. Vinny and Brandon were professional, collaborative (always keeping me in the loop and ensuring satisfaction), fast, thorough and neat (love it when a worker cleans up after themselves - not usually the way). Like I wrote, I could not be happier.

Extremely thorough and professional. Absolutely trustworthy and honest. Vinney kept me informed and up to date at every level of the job. They also do a fantastic job cleaning up. Would most definitely use Vinney and his son again. You won't find better than these gentleman!

I called him after hours expecting a recording but Vinny picked up the phone and answered all of my questions. He arrived right on time and he had the GDO installed super quick. Vinny is very pleasant and polite. I will definitely be calling on him again.

Great attention to detail, wanted to get the job done right and did get the job done right. Also fixed a leaking refrigerator and a running toilet in just a few minutes. Would hire again tomorrow.

This is one of those rare cases when one can say that the results were better than expected. Excellent work by Vinny and son, Brandon! They know what they're doing and take their work seriously. They replaced two garage door openers that were far too noisy. The new ones are almost silent and they have a feature that turns on the interior garage lights when one enters the garage from the house, which is very handy. Vinny arrived on time, completed the job in about four hours, explained the details of the installation and cleaned up the site. The homeowner didn't have to do anything except write the check! Everything works as planned, but without all that noise from the old units. Overall, an excellent result!

Vinny and his son are wonderful! They are punctual, professional and work very hard. When they are done they put everything back and clean up after themselves, including vacuuming the area. Once they are finished with an area you never know that it was renovated. It looks perfect.
