My problem was prior to the hurricane, however the repairs ended up being performed after the hurricane. Understandably the roofers across Florida were overwhelmed with calls and work. There was some miscommunication in the beginning but I found the owner of G&G Roofing to be a fair business man who really cares about the quality of work performed and the satisfaction of his customers.

Several years ago I had G&G re-roof our home on Merritt Island. I can not imagine a better construction services provider. Since that time I've used G&G for several other small jobs (installing a vent for a range hood and several times resetting eve covers). Ray's crews show up on time and do quick, professional, high quality work and at a very reasonable price. Having built two homes and I know a great contractor when I see one. I have recommended G&G time and time again and have always gotten great feed back. As far as I'm concerned there is none better in roofing than Ray and G&G. John Honour

Let me preface this by saying that this is being written in the aftermath on Matthew and every roofer in the area is slammed. G&G installed my roof 2 1/2 years ago and I was very pleased with the whole process. Since that time, I had a leak that showed itself during a tropical storm. It took a couple of trips, but it was fixed under warranty. Then came Hurricane Matthew and I lost a couple of rows of shingles. I believe this was a problem with the shingles, not the installation, and the owner agreed to fix this issue for free as well. I can't give an A rating at this time because, well, I have had these issues. There was some miscommunication between me and the company that needed to be worked out, but they are very open to discussing issues with customers to work out an acceptable solution. In my opinion these are honest people who stand behind their work and do a quality job. I would use them again.

Representative of G&G did not arrive at the appointed time. He inspected the area that needed to be re-roofed and promised to send an estimate. Three weeks later, after phoning to request the promised estimate 3 times, he finally e-mailed the estimate. $12,800 to remove and replace 150 square feet of deck and roof! Materials to be used were plywood and peel and stick roll roofing. When I asked for a breakdown showing line item dollar amounts, he declined. I would never recommend this scammer and usurer!

I asked for an appointment regarding a metal roof on an office building. Two days prior to the appointment I called G & G to confirm it was a metal roof on a commercial building and I offered to send pictures. They declined the photos and said they understood it was a metal roof. On the day of the appointment, 10/28/16, their roofer arrived and I showed him the problem. He was very nice, however, he explained he worked in the residential department and had no idea how to repair the metal roof but he took pictures of the leaking areas. He assured me he would show the photos to the commercial department and that someone would get back with me on 10/31/16. Today is 11/10/16 and no one from G & G has called. Very unprofessional, especially since I had clarified on two occasions that it was a metal commercial roof. Big waste of my time.

The company was very good with the initial quote. The time from call to quote and the quote they provided were both good. The quote I was given was $50 less than a quote I received from another company. On the day of the tear-off, I was working from home and heard scraping on the other side of the house. I went out and found the tear-off crew tearing off the wrong section of the house. I had them stop and contact the person in charge. I was told there was a miscommunication and that they would replace the side of the house that was supposed to be replaced and replace the extra shingles they tore off. After they replaced the shingles, the ones torn off by mistake did not match the one remaining on the house because of the 10-year age difference. I was sent the invoice but told them I would not make payment until the job was finished. I had to call the supervisor about 4 or 5 times before he finally had someone come out and clean the older shingles on that side to make them match better (not perfectly). The crew who put the shingles on also did not clean up their mess. I had cut-off shingles, packs of shingles, drip edge, and other trash laying all around my house in my yard. I had to clean everything up in order to mow my lawn. I placed multiple calls to the supervisor and the office letting them know that I still had stuff that needed to be addressed. I ended up having to dispose of all of the trash myself because they never came back to clean it up which ended up being about 3 55-gallon trash cans full of trash. When we had the hurricane blow through, I had to move all of the packs of shingles into my garage to avoid having them fly around the neighborhood. After a month (not an exaggeration) of not hearing from them, I called again and they finally came and picked up the extra shingles from my driveway. Overall, it took about 2 months to do something that should have been done in 2 days. They did not make any concessions on the price and I payed the full amount originally quoted even though I saved them money by stopping them from tearing off the whole roof, I cleaned all of the trash out of the yard and disposed of it, and i had extra supplies taking up room in my driveway for over a month. The roof work itself looks like it was done well, but it was not worth dealing with everything else I had to deal with. There are other roofers out there that do just as high quality of work and do it more professionally.

Couldn't have gone better. Jason was honest, professional, and caring. Did what needed to be done instead of trying to sell products / services we didn't need. After a storm like this, there are many people and companies that try to take advantage of homeowners. Not G & G. They are honest and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company!!

Possibly they came out that early due to scheduling their guys, but, they came out quickly and responded to my needs. They were professional and price reasonable, under the circumstances. I would hire them in a heart beat. Let's hope there isn't another Hurricane for a few more years.

I contacted G & G and said I would go with them for my roofing project, they said they were finishing up another house and could be there the following week, Their crew showed up on the scheduled day and went right to work. I can't say enough about how well these men performed there job, courteous, professional, they did everything my contract called for and did a superior job. I want to commend the crew and all supporting people of G & G Roofing for an excellent job well done. Thank You I will recommend them to anyone.

The consultation never happened. I called on 8/17 to schedule an appointment for the consultation. At first the person who answered for G & G roofing said someone could be at my home 8/19 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. She then found an opening for 8/18 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. We scheduled the 8/18 appointment. They took my information, name, number, email, and confirmed the date/time. The day of the appointment, I called around 4:30 after a no-show only to be told: 'Sorry, you're not on our calendar." This was very disappointing and upsetting after taking the afternoon off from work only to be told that I wasn't on the calendar. Did not like the way it was handled at all.

The estimator came out quickly and provided detailed estimate when promised. The estimate ultimately proofed The repair team came out on time, quickly assessed and confirmed the work that was needed. Repairs required removing a number of barrel and side tiles, cutting back some damaged facia board and roofing deck protection, replacing damaged barrel tiles, and resealing. They executed on the repairs in a single day, including going above-and-beyond in helping touch up painting!

I assumed all work was completed as contracted, but when I did an inspection of some of center and caps they were not secured and I could pick them up with my hand. I contacted G & G numerous times by phone and email over four months. Finally, four weeks ago two employees came out to inspect the roof. They told me they wild get back to me the next day with how they would fix the problems. However, no one has called back even after I continue to contact them.

The salesman appointed and come early which was great for me. He walked the roof line, made recommendation on ventilation and looked at the old goose neck vent cap to be replaced. He prepped the estimate and emailed me a copy the next day. I needed the work done within a weeks time, but the weather timing became an issue and they were not able to accommodate my schedule request which I understood. I contacted another roofer to complete the work. The people were nice and professional.

This is written for my next door neighbor to whom I recommended G&G Roofing. She is very satisfied with the work quality, time on the job and proficiency of the crew, and the very minimum debris. They followed up several times to ensure satisfaction.

The office staff promptly set up the technician's first visit for the next business day after my call. The technician arrived on time and examined the one broken tile I had noticed, but also found a second damaged tile. He arranged a convenient time to return a week later, when he made the repair as planned. As for the cost of $250 to repair two clay tiles, that's a bargain compared to the costs related to my possible fall from the roof, had I risked making the repair myself! Overall, G&G gats my best recommendation, and I'm still alive and uninjured, so I can tell you about it!

The job went very well. They worked me in to a tight schedule because I travel for a living. They were very professional, fast and reasonably priced. They came back a couple of times with their magnets to pick up nails from the job site.

Won't use again. First, salesman came to home and gave estimate to perform the roofing repair. He detailed out everything the crew was going to do and use to fix the leak. We accepted the price for this work and signed the estimate. He indicated the crew would be scheduled to perform this work between 2 to 3 weeks out. After 3 weeks and no call / no show from G&G we called them. Turns out the office never got the paperwork for our work to be performed, so now we had to wait even longer. Eventually the crew came. Crew arrived on time and was professional. Work didn't take too long. Overall, it took less than a day (considering day 1 had a bit of a rain delay). Crew foreman also noted that he did not need to do most of the work on the repair that was shown on the estimate / quote so he did only what he needed to do to get the leak fixed (thanks!). G&G sent rep out to get check. We asked for a credit for the repair work that was quoted but not performed. Rep said No, A quote is a quote and that's the cost to fix the leak. So, there's nothing to stop them from telling other customers (like you) what a repair or replacement cost would be, and then they only do less than 1/2 the work, but yet charge you for the full "estimated" scope and cost. I need to change jobs because they must be making a killing doing business this way. Had it taken more work effort to get the leak fixed I know they would have sought additional $$ for everything above and beyond the estimate. A couple of friends have been waiting to see how we liked G&G because they have large houses with roof problems. Guess who I'm telling them not to call.

G & G Roofing was a pleasure to work with, especially their salesman John. We own a commercial property with an approximately 16,000 square foot roof. Over the past few years we were having issues with certain parts of the roof and this past year decided to go ahead and do a total replacement. Received about 8 different estimates, one of them being G & G Roofing. They were the only one to follow up on their proposal and were extremely competitive. We decided to go with them based on reputation, timing of getting job done, and price. They exceeded all our expectations in all of these areas. Would definitely use again if the situation arose.
