Everyone from 1st tech to install and follow up has been so professional. I truly feel so confident about my AC and the service.

I've had my AC repaired about 7 times over the last 3 years and I knew it was time to replace the old unit. Ellington AC actually performed 2 of the most recent service calls and the technicians were on time, courteous, informative and most importantly never tried to charge me for things that were unnessasary considering the condition of the unit. Based on the previous experiences we had with other AC contractors (Duron Smith AC) who seemed more interested in selling me something I didn't need or want I knew that Ellington AC would have the first opportunity to sell me a brand new high-efficiency unit. Jason (the owner) came out and educated me and my wife on all the different units available and also asked us key questions (how long we plan on staying, what we wanted from an AC) which allowed him to pair us with an appropriate unit. Although Ellington is not the cheapest my wife and I felt that based on past experiences and his non-salesy approach that we would have Ellington AC install our new Trane unit. As promised his guys showed up at exactly 8:30 am on the scheduled date and immedietely went to work. His guys were very friendly and helpfull and really made my wife and daughter feel comfortable while they were were working in the house. Jason said they would finish by 5pm and before they finished he personally showed up and inspected the work. He actually found something which was minor but concerned him and he immedietley jumped up into the HOT attic and checked it out himself. After another thorough cleaning and testing of the unit his crew left after thanking us for the business. It was refreshing to see that he practices what he preaches. From my initial call to final completion it was a job well done.

This company is the best I've used for AC maintenance. I got their name from Angie's List last year and they replaced my unit. I've been very satisfied.

No cold air coming out of back a/c. technician came quickly and replaced capacitor and cleaned out both systems. Now working well.

Two years ago Ellington replaced our AC unit & since the overall experience with that was EXCELLENT, we chose them to replace our AC duct system last week. Once again, owner/businessman Jason Ellington & his crew came through with outstanding customer service and a good quality product . Jason gave us an estimate that did not change once the job was done, answered all of our questions & followed up during and after installation. His crew, Dan,Steve & others are professional, courteous & got the job done without lollygagging around. Clean up was thorough to my delight :-))It was suggested that we have our insulation checked with a Florida Power Light Energy Conservation check which we had done this Saturday. The FPL representative told us our installers did a really good job replacing our duct work.So, there you go, kudos to all at Ellington AC & Heat, you have a customer who will refer you every chance possible!

The technician did a better job than the previous company. He found the leak that the other company hadn't found in two previous visits.

I called Ellington based on reviews I found on Angie's list. I had guests going to stay at the unit and was aware of the fact that the A/C was not working. Josh with Ellington arrived precisely at the time I was told he would be there. He called me at least 3 times during the process in order to tell me of the progress he was making, and to receive additional permission to complete necessary preventative work. The overall experience could not have been better. I am definitely a fan!

It seemed to me like they were fair priced and didn’t overcharge me. They came out here right away. They were just very thorough, polite, and friendly, and didn't mind me coming out there with them as they were explaining things to me and giving me advice on certain things of what is being done and why it needs to be done, so that the problem wouldn’t occur again and can be prevented. It wasn't like they were just coming out for fixing it and hoping that it would break again so that they could come out again.

On 5-24-2012 the fan unit stored outside with no air, so I looked on line with BB Breau and thats when I called Ellington.

Excellent service was on time professional and every thing was explained in detail.

They were very good. The price I paid is for two years, I got a preventative contract, so they did this year and they will do next year. I tried to get somebody to come during the week. I live on the coast, but I work in Orlando, so it takes me an hour to drive to work. So I tried to get a few companies to come early, and they said they would. The guy got delayed, he didn’t know. I was a little upset in the beginning. But Ellington AC & Heat came on a Saturday morning for me at no extra charge. The guy was wonderful. He was in and out, he was great. He just didn’t clean the outside thing; he took the whole unit apart and cleaned everything. He took the whole handler inside apart, he was in there and took it all apart, and he did a good job.

Fabulous experience. They did a lot of work and never left a spec of dust around. They even deliver filters to my front door for me. These guys rock! No hesitation, definitely call them if you want perfect service for HVAC

Perfect, arrived on time no issue, very professional.

From start to finish, they were completely professional. Their receptionist was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable (a surprise considering I have spoken to many local A/C receptionists who seem to think customers are a bother). She called twice in order to update me on the expected arrival time for the technician and it is obvious there is great communication between dispatch and repair trucks. The technician also called to let me know when he was coming, and again called about 15 minutes prior to his arrival. Upon arrival, was personable, neat, and professional. Dolph was clearly experienced, diagnosed the problem quickly and made repairs the same afternoon. Since this is a new home, he also went over the entire system with me, and let me know what needed to be done in the future, what could wait, and what I could expect from the equipment. I was impressed enough to contract with them for maintenance. Ellington does all the work after that - they will schedule maintenence on a regular schedule...I don't even have to remember!

Once the serviceman arrived, it was clear he was very knowledgeable and competent. He explained as he was performing his analysis of the defects, the required repairs and his recommendations.. He was a pleasure to talk to.

I heard a funny noise from my outside unit Friday night on, of course, the Memorial Day Holiday weekend!! After hearing the noise my AC stopped blowing cool air. I called them Sat morning and talked to their answering service who relayed my message. Within 5-10 minutes, I received a call from company and explained my situation. I was told that the tech. was on another job and would be about 2 hours. He arrived about 30 minutes later. He was thorough, friendly and fixed the problem. I was expecting the worst because my unit is 21 years old. the tech did recommend a new unit which I know would be more efficient and work better and is really due. I was grateful that he could fix the problem for the holiday weekend!! I told him I was interested in getting a estimate for a new unit. He is going to have them contact me after the holiday. I was pleased with their prompt response and communication!!

Went with the Trane XL20i and 950 thermostat. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. The stand for the air handler was too high for the new unit so they built an entirely new one which looks much better than the original ever did. All copper was insulated where needed and everything is all lined up for a nice professional appearance. The thermostat was not able to see the indoor unit so they ran another 950 thermo from the office to try. That also didn't work so we suspected the personality chip was bad on the indoor unit. To get me air, they mounted the 900 model thermo which worked fine. The following day, they showed up with a new personality chip and installed it in the indoor unit and put my 950 thermo back on the wall. Once again it didn't work so we now suspected the circuit board had a fault even though the unit ran just fine. They put the 900 back to give me AC for the evening. The next day, they showed up with a new circuit board and after installing that and putting the 950 back on again, everything worked perfectly. I appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves pretty well and they certainly pushed through with the thermostat issue. Plumbing and duct work look fantastic and is vastly superior to the original Mercedes build. Very happy with the entire install and the company.

Very punctual and responsive. Inspected the system, serviced the system and gave recommendation on how to handle the suspected coil leak. We are currently comparing proposals for a new system.

As usual, did a thorough professional job. AND, though we were skeptical about the ductless "split" unit, it is flat out amazing. Even my skeptical husband can't believe how quiet and efficient it is even with all the windows in a 22 x 32 room.

They are on Angie's List and have it on their trucks. We are very pleased. They were right on time. They were very attentive and cleaned up after them selves. They came right away and were very responsive when I had a problem with the key pad. Mr. Ellington came out himself before we decided what we wanted. For what we received and the coupon we had it was a really good deal. We now have a service contract with them also.

I had talked with another company who I have done business with before. I was advised that my unit was out of freon and with the age of the unit it would be more cost effective to purchase a replacment. I received a price from the for a Carrier system from this company which I was pretty set on getting. I had asked Ellington A/C to come out and provide me pricing based on the reviewed from Angie's list. Jason, the owner, came out at a time which was convenient for me (7pm) and looked at the unit. He talked to me about 2 different units, one being a Trane 16 seer and the other one was a Trane 19 seer dual compressor unit. He asked if I was going to be living in the house longer then 5 years and if I was then if I could afford it, to get the dual compressor unit and if not then go with the 16 seer unit. I was suprised that the dollar amount was only about $2000 more but the benefits and energy efficiency made me decide to go with the 19 seer unit which was the Trane XL20i. We also discussed the option of going with a heat pump instead of just the heat strips, and based on our conversation he said he would not recommend getting the heat pump based on the amount of heat that I would use. I liked this because he didn't try to sell me something that I really didn't need or get benefits from. Also what sold me was that my a/c was not cooling the house because of being out of freon and was concerned with the 3 week wait time to have the new unit to be installed. Jason said that they would do their best to get my a/c unit working long enough til my new unit could be installed. If they could not get my unit working, then they would bring in a temporary one to use if needed until my new one could be installed. They were able to get my unit working after testing to see if they could find any freon leaks which they didn't. They recharged my unit and got it working and would have been a $480 bill but they didn't charge me anything. As stated in the other reviews, I was sold based on how Jason interacted with me as well as selling me on the maintenance program. I now have a piece of mind with having no out of pocket expenses with anything that goes wrong with my A/C for 10 years. Also the fact tha they got my other unit going and didn't charge me for their time or freon. Their customer service is stellar and I feel the best customer service I have ever received. I will be using this company again and have recommended it to my friends who were looking at getting a new a/c unit.
