Our A/C ceased functioning over this past Labor Day weekend, the weekend where the temps were in the 90s. We called Ellington, who had done the initial installation, and the person who answered the phone asked if we would try several different simple things and call her back. We did these things but still no air. My husband called back and was told the repairman would be there right after he finished his current call, a couple of hours, not long after Ron McGaha arrived. He was professional, courteous, and efficient. He diagnosed a bad factory solder joint, repaired it, refilled the freon (?) that had leaked out, and we were cool once more. Ours fortunately was a warranty repair at N/C, but I would not hesitate to recommend this company and their employees.

We own a very high-end home and therefore our expectations for excellence is high. The vendors who do repeat work for us are truly the "Best" in their field. I do not write negative reviews unless there is an exceptional situation for example, misleading information and true incompetence. John came to our home and was very pleasant and professional. But then he disappeared. After our efforts to contact him we learned he was ill and a couple days later we received a quote. The quote was for replacement of the air handler and for replacing both the air handler and condenser. Keep in mind our condenser is only a few months old. The quote for the air handler did not include any information on the type/brand of what Ellington was proposing to sell us. After further email exchanges we received this information. However, once we decided to move forward with only the air handler replacement Jason (John's boss) informed us they could not replace just the air handler due to code issues and would have to replace BOTH the condenser AND air handler. Out of "5" vendors, Ellington is the only one who made this statement. We questioned Jason why John was not aware of code issues and how could we receive a quote for something that violated codes? Didn't they know what the codes were when providing us the quote? Also, isn't it interesting that only after we chose the least expensive of the quotes was there an issue? We deal with vendors on a regular basis due to the size and value of our home. We hold vendors accountable as our time is valuable and misleading information is something we do not take lightly. Finally, Jason admitted to poor handling and ignorance - Yes - that's right; ignorance. Here are the exact words used in Jason's email.........."Yes I agree the whole thing could have been handled better"....."the answer would be ignorance". Nothing more to say................

Reset the breakers and upgraded the thermostat. Best of all, while in the house he wore shoe coverings so my floors stayed clean!

They gave us a discount because we setup some sort of maintenance with them. We would definitely recommend them. Their prices are reasonable. They seemed to be quite honest and they didn't try to do a bunch of things that didn't needed to be done. They saved us.

this is a 24 year old system which I realize at some point soon will need replacing. Evaporator coils were icing up. requested Diagnosis of reason . apparently system was low on Freon causing this to happen. In the process of checking everything out. Low readings on three capacitors were found and technician advised replacing them. I found this technician friendly, Very knowledgeable. and precise in his assessment of the problem . He explained all the options for me to consider and answered all my questions . I was much impressed with his professionalism and honesty,However what happened next lost their credibility with me as far as doing busisness with them. I paid for the service with a check given to them at time of service. it is reasonable to expext that would be the end of it. Such was not the case. almost 3 months later they had not processed the check . When I called to find out why,I was told check had some how got lost . their solution was Just write a new check .. Wasn't about to do that . their was a check floating around somewhere that could show up sometime. I had to go through the process of a stop payment that was a big inconveience to me and I had to pay for it. . Their general busisnee attitude leaves much to be desired asa far as I am concerned and they have lost me as a custormer I wrote a new check and subtracted what I paid to stop payment. . They apparently have an office accountability problem

the gentleman who came did a through exam of my unit and cleaned the drain, which had been the problem. there was also a minor loose connection which he found and repaired. after speaking with him i decided to enter into a maintenance agreement with his company. I would also state that he was wearing cover socks over his shoes prior to entering my home. And he went out of his way to reconnect my ceiling fire alarm since i was a bit too short to replace it.

Tech arrived on-time and was very knowledgable. He was able to identify the source of the Freon leak and well as many other things that could be potential issues for my A/C system. In the end, I did not have Ellington perform the repair due to the quoted cost.

Tech Ron knows what he's doing. Took less than a minute to diagnose the problem of air handler not engaging. Then went on to maximize the cooling capacity of my older Trane. So now, all's well.

Within 30 days of purchasing a new house, the AC unit went out. Needed complete replacement. Dolph came out and did the estimate and we purchased a new system. Rachel and Olivia in the office were AMAZING! When it was discovered that the equipment was going to be delayed, portable AC units were delivered to my house which was at an uncomfortable 92 degrees. We survived the next couple of days with the portable units while equipment could be located. Rachel called with exciting news that she had located the necessary equipment and installation was scheduled for the next day. The office even coordinated with the lender for all of our financing. Installation took place with workers arriving on time. There was no mess at the end and we had air conditioning -- all in time for my guests to arrive for the 4th of July holiday. We purchased a home that required a lot work and I wish all the contractors had been half as efficient as these guys. We were so impressed with how diligent everyone was and their honest concern to get everything that was needed as quickly as possible.

Work was on schedule and on budget. All work was very professionally installed. Price was fair and honest. Would deal again. Very pleased with professional techs and EQ.

Joe came and met with me first, then came back on a Sat to meet my husband. Our system went out in meantime and they brought window until till system could get put in. All done in one day, now I'm nice and cool! Awesome company!
