I should have never purchased this service to begin with. I really needed an estimate on what was wrong with the unit (which was not working) and needed repairs. Ellington looked at the unit and said I needed a complete unit - outside and inside - service person said it could be between $8,000.00 and $12,000.00 depending on quality of unit installed. The estimated price seemed very high after talking to my nearby neighbors who also had new A/C units installed. I called another A/C company and they found the same trouble with unit - but agreed with me that the outside unit needed replacing and not the inside. Ellington gave me an estimate of $3,600 for replacing the outside unit only after they agreed to just the outside unit being replaced. The other A/C company estimated $2,326.00 for the replacement (same unit - nothing cheaper or lower quality). Now that is about a $1,300.00 difference between the two companies for the same unit. I went with the company that was $1,300.00 less on the estimate (they also included a riser pad and legs for the new unit). I have learned over years that when a company estimates any job or merchandise very high over anyone other company - they just plane do not want the job or the business - and this is what I think Ellington did - why? I have no idea. I was told they are not cheap - but that just makes no sense when another company can do the same job at 36% difference in price using the same material and service. I do partially blame myself for jumping ahead on this Ellington service contract without knowing first what was wrong with my A/C unit. I learned a lesson. Now I have a new unit with a 10 warranty and a service plan with the people that installed it. I do not need the $144.00 Ellington's service contract which is absolutely useless to me now. I would not recommend them - they should have just refunded my money back after they knew I was using another A/C to install a new unit. Regards - Ron LeDoux

He charged me $900 to fix my AC for a tenant, the tenant called me and said the unit was not working right. He didn't tell me at the time that there wold be an additional charge. I feel like he charged me too much for the job. He came back and fixed the job the second time.

Crews worked very hard and showed up everyday on time. Any issues that arose were handled quickly. It was a big job that was handled professionally.

In a word, excellent! Ellington has assembled a well oiled team that inspired confidence from start to finish. Initially Dolph's expertise provided information that matched our online research, was very honest and straight forward, sold us the system. Erin, QA Expert, has an excellent customer interface, is not afraid to tell the truth. Erin and his installers showed my wife mildew in the ceiling plenum and distribution pipes, and recommended cleaning the pipes and replacing the total ceiling plenum. We had other initial bids, Ellington was not the lowest. We chose Ellington over others because Trane has an excellent reputation, and most of all, we want Ellington's customer support for years to come. We purchased the extra labor warranty with 10 yeasr parts/labor unconditional warranty with the very best HVAC Company in the area. Thank you Ellington!
