Ellington Air Conditioning & Heat

I called Ellington on a Saturday because the temperature in our home was climbing. Jason was on another job, but called me back and came over on his way home. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem within about an hour or so. I waited to report this because I wanted to make sure the work done resolved the problem, My AC has been working great ever since.

Excellent experience - from estimation to installation of the final unit. Was great working with Jason (Ellington) - he takes the time to really explain what is needed and what to expect. They helped me out immediately by installing of a temporary unit (so we could get some A/C quickly). I was promised an installation starting 9:00am on Monday and the guys were here at 9:00am on Monday - no surpises. The installation team, led by Dan, was very courteous and professional. They worked swiftly and cleaned up well when they were finished. They helped me by taking down an existing brick enclosure wall that woudl have cost me a few hundred dollars to have done by a separate contractor. Jason went over an above when an elderly neighbor was having questions about her system - Jason checked it out at no cost and followed up the next day to make sure everything was OK - saving her SUBSTANCIAL amounts of money because she had been told that her system needed to be replaced (by Americal Air and Heat) when all it really needed was a drain unblock. I woudl definitely recommend Ellington AC & Heat to anyone in the market for a new system.

My AC unit went out while I was traveling. When I arrived home the inside temp was about 60-65 degrees. The thermostat would not respond and the outside unit was whining. I called this company at 7:30A and someone was at my door before 9A. Dolph was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I was so impressed with this service that I signed on for an annual maintenance plan. I want to have this company be my heating and ac professionals

Fantastic, it could not have been better. From the estimate to the finish they were very professional, extremely nice and always on time. They were booked for a few weeks when we decide to choose their company, so they took out the old unit and replaced it with another unit so we NEVER went without Air - How cool is that!!! They came when the promised, they had the work done in one day, the team was extremely professional and worked well together - that means alot. We have no complaints at all and look forward to using them for our servicing in the years to come. The unit has been in for two months and no problems, works great.

Although we didn't have to replace our current air conditioning system immediately, it was really only a matter of time and endless service calls keeping it running properly. Mr. Ellington suggested if we were going to replace the unit, we needed to think about having it done while we could take advantage of the air conditioning company rebate, FPL rebate and the energy tax rebate. He sat down with us to explain how much more efficiently the new system would run and our electric bill would be lower, as a result. The day the work was done, our family was here from out of town and we left for the day after the installation crew arrived right on time at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. We came home that night to a nice cool house and you could never tell anyone had even been here by the looks of the place. They cleaned up all their mess thoroughly. Since a month has passed since the installation, it is so nice to have the new unit running exactly as Mr. Ellington explained. It is not cold while running and hot when not running as the old unit. It is quiet and comfortable and we are very pleased we spent the money.

I am very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge I saw today. Jason Ellington LIVES to make people happy. I'm DEFINITELY going to Ellington AC for my new unit. If my Mom needed AC help; I wouldn't suggest she go to Ellington, I would insist on it!

the overall experience was very good and informative...The A/C would not cool, Jason came out the next day and did some tests and replaced the coolant. The tests showed that there was a possible leak so Jason did some further testing and found a possible leak on the outside unit. Jason did tell me that if this didnt stop the leak that it was the copper tubing from the inside unit. After 4 days of running the system quit cooling so I had Jason back to replace the inside unit. Jason subtracted the amount off the new air handler that I had spent the week before. Everything works great and I would use them again and would reccommend him to my friends.

Jason was very professional. We first had a routine service call on two old units, they were recharged, some old wiring, done wrong in the past, was corrected and a problem vent inside was sealed, problem corrected. After a very professional service call, we decided to take advantage of the energy tax credit available for replacing old inefficient units. Jason and his crew came and replaced one of the old units/ systems; they were very professional and friendly. Jason applied for necessary energy tax credit paperwork and system warranty for us. The removal and new installation went very smoothly and the system works great. We would definitely recommend Ellington AC and Heat.

This was a great experience from start to finish. Jason Ellington showed up when he said he would and immediately took care of the problem. He was extremely friendly and very professional. He even took the time to explain how the entire heat pump system worked, and problems we might have in the future. Since we just moved into our house 2 weeks ago, I wasn't sure how the system as a whole worked. Jason patiently explained all the system functions and answered all my questions. He's a gem of a guy, and I will call him any time there's a problem with out A/C or heating.

The installation crew (Dan and Cole) arrived at 8 am, Jason Ellington arrived shortly after. Jason discussed the installation with me and his crew, and instructed his crew to make a few small changes I requested. The removal of the old system and installation of the new went very smoothly. Both Dan and Cole were very easy to talk to and took time to answer any of my questions. The system was installed in a very professional manner and was up and running without any problems later that day. Jason Ellington returned at the end of the day to make sure everything was in order and to take care of the paperwork. The entire experience was excellent and I highly recommend Ellington Air and Heat to anyone who would need their services.

Overall, everything went very well. I've never purchased an AC system before or even had a repair performed (Repaired the old unit in the past, myself) so I don't have a previous experience to relate to but I can say that the experience was stress free and what was quoted and said to be done was done. Jason came out and quoted the system. He was knowlegable and was competent in his work. He was able to look at everything and tell many things were not right and explained how they'd make it right. He listened to my list of concerns and addressed each one. He said they could hold off on the duct work and do that at a different time or they could just put in the return airs at this time or whatever I wanted to keep the cost down. I preferred to replace it all at the time of install, so thats what they did. He wrote up the quote, I liked it and gave him the job based on what I had seen so far and based also on Angies List. I liked that he was a local, small business and had vested interest in the community. Day of install: Jason's installer, Dan, shows up on time and gets right to work. Bye bye old junky system! In no time its sitting out in the grass and I can see the beautiful Trane sitting on the trailer! They work quickly and confidently and the main goal of the day is to get the unit up and running to have the air on as soon as possible. I'm getting the entire system replaced as if it were a new house so it takes a while to do all this. Jason stops by periodically and checks on everything. He's concerned about all the things he'd be concerned about if it were his own system. I like that. Taking ownership and making details right. At the end of the day, the system is temporarily connected to the old ductwork and is running. Sweet! This system is nice and I can't stop smiling. I had waited too long for that old system to go! They'll come back tomorrow to replace the ductwork and finish the install. Day two: They show up on time and start work. Out comes all the old ductwork and they install all new ducts including air returns and a new register in the living room. They mastic everything known to man and in a few hours the system is complete. Now, only a minor issue and its not reflected in the ratings because it was all made right. The guy Dan had working for him at the time didn't do so well on sealing the ducts. This was caught by Jason later on when he stopped by to inspect the system. So Jason said they'd come back out for a third visit, reseal the ducts throughout with mastic, clean the registers and take care of some other minor details that he wanted to make sure were right.. So on the final visit they did just that. I was completely satisfied with the install. Come to find out, Dan fired the helper guy that did just an okay job on the ductwork so that is no longer an issue. I only write this because these things happen and to let readers know that Jason makes sure things are right in the end. All in all, a very good experience!

The Ellington technician spent two hours checking the entire system. He added refrigerant, cleaned the drain line and inspected the air filter. He also adjusted the air handler speed to the correct setting. He specified the air filter size so we could purchase it at Lowes. He suggested that pleated filters were more efficient that the cheap filter that was in the unit. I certainly would refer this company to anyone looking for A/C service.

It could not have gone better. Jason Ellington and his folks explained clearly what our options were, helped us select an appropriate system. They even quickly installed a temporary system which kept our house comfortable while the new system was shipped in from Trane. We happened to be out of the country during the installation of the final system but they took care of everything in our absence and then called us overseas to tell us all was well. When we got back they came by and explained the system. There were no surprises and no cost overruns. And the workmanship was absolutely outstanding--very neat and professional. We were super impressed. A great experience (well, if you like having to buy a new HVAC system). But really, they were superb!

This is the 2nd unit I have had replaced with Ellington AC. Our house has 2 units and Jason replaced the first unit about 1 year ago. We have also referred Ellington to two other friends for completely new AC units. Our friends were extremely pleased with Ellington and have also referred their friends. As on the first unit, Ellington was very professional and explained in detail what they were doing and the total cost up front. As before, their quote was exactly what they charged. It is nice to do business with people who show up when promised and at the same time do an excellent job. The job was completed on time and we are pleased to recommend Ellington Ac to anyone who wants a quality job from true professionals.

I was very impressed and pleased with how professional and personable Jason Ellington was. I requested an evaluation of my A/C system and an estimate for a replacement if needed. Another company has been telling me for several years that I need to replace the system. Jason arrived at the time we arranged for and told me that there was no indication that the unit needed to be replaced right now and gave me a detailed analysis of the system I have the the systems that I might eventually replace it with. I signed up for his annual maintenance program. I highly recommend this company.

The President of the company was there (off and on) to oversee that the job was done correctly and efficiently. The two installers were very professional and very careful of my property. The job was done in a timely manner. They were so efficient in cleaning up everything afterward including picking up pieces left in my yard! I was very impressed and will use them for the maintenance on my new unit.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. Clear communication on my cooling system replacement options with detailed discussion on the prices with each option. Very low key, no hard selling. The company personnel were clearly experienced and knowledgeable and effective in communicating what they were going to do , when they were going to do it, how they were going to do it and how they planned to cleanup and remove old equipment. They showed up exactly when discussed and we had AC back on in the house by the end of the day. The following day they came in and completed the finish work that gives the installation a very professional look. Again, exactly when and how they said. I highly recommend them and will rely upon them in the future. Competent and capable HVAC professionals.
