Brevard Lawn Care

Missed weeks without any adjustment to my bill. Sometimes just didn't show up at all. Forget getting your lawn mowed if it rains. Just canceled them. My lawn is a jungle.

Scott at Brevard Lawns put in new lawn and sprinkler system for me, and has kept them nice, and (mostly) green despite my lack of knowledge and recent droughts :). If I have a problem, he is quick to respond to fix it and he does not overcharge - in fact, he is happy to show me how to do things so I can do them myself! I think Brevard Lawns is a great lawn care company - the men that work on the lawns are always thoughtful to make sure gates are closed so dogs cannot get out, etc. Best of all, though, since changing to Brevard Lawns, I no longer have to replace sprinkler heads all the time. They are careful when they do the work!

The owner knows grass and his business very well. He is punctual, professional and very knowledgable about what he does. He's also knowledgable about irrigation systems. I plan on using his business again at a different residence.

Scott showed up on October 13, 2011, stating he was going to start placing the rock. When we met with Scott a few weeks earlier to discuss our needs, he suggested that we use crimson stone; however, due to the crimson costing more, we decided to go with the river rock. Prior to him starting, we reviewed the yard, where we wanted the rock, etc. I asked about us moving two hibicus trees and adding a pigmy palm. Anything I suggested that I wanted to add/move, he responded negatively. I asked him which rock he brought with him and he responded the river rock. When I made a comment about the river rock being less expensive than the crimson stone, he responded that they were the same. I disagreed (due to a quote with another landscaper) so he called his supplier who stated that the river rock was cheaper. When it came time for him to start, he brought me the agreement to sign. I noticed that crimson stone's cost was still on the quote. When I questioned, he said that he was only making $150 and he was going to leave it like that. I told him that wasn't right because I was paying for something that I wasn't getting. He responded, 'you know what...I'm not going to do this lawn' and he left. His actions lacked professionalism and I would caution anyone who deals with him to closely review the charges. I will not recommend his company to anyone and know, without a doubt, that we can find better service.

They are very good and I would have no problem recommending them to anybody. I have a monthly contract. They are always careful. He treats the beds so they stay weed free and they trim the shrubs on a regular basis. They do a very professional job.
