He had a couple of different options of screens for me to choose from. The quote stated that my price would be $100, but I ended up paying $145.00. The guy that came out was really nice, I haven't had any problems.

I called All American Shutters & Glass, the original installers of my hurricane protection, and asked if a damaged Armor Screen panel could be repaired. The lady who answered the phone said she would have to check and would call me back. 2 or 3 days later I called back and explained who I was. Her statement "They didn't call you back yet?" indicated they knew the answer but nobody called. She said somebody would call back and within a half hour or so, somebody did. They indicated the panel could be repaired and bring it on down. I brought it to there facility on Donna Rd. in West Palm Beach, FL that afternoon. They asked to look at the damage, so we unfolded the panel on the ground. Upon inspection the agreed it was repairable. I left the item with them but had to ask for a receipt. They said they would call me in a couple of days with the estimate. After about 10 days, I called them asking for the estimate. I got the impression that they did not do anything about my issue during the previous 10 days and would have to call the subcontractor. Within a couple of days they called back and indicated that because of the rodent droppings they found, they would have to pressure wash the screen panel at an addition cost that would cost about $175 of the total $375 cost. I had them do it. They said they would call me when completed. After 3 or 4 weeks I called them. The subcontractor still had the screen panel for repair and they would call me when they had the item back. After a week they called me back and said the item was ready, I picked up the repaired Armor Screen panel and the repair was professionally done and of high quality workmanship. Overall, I got the impression that if I did not call and call, my Armor Screen panel would have just gotten lost in the shuffle. As bad as it sounds, over all this was a good experience but a little slow and a little expensive. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, pleasant and professional; and it was always a pleasure to talk to them on the phone and in person. The work completed was well done and I am pleased with the repair I received. I think the original price was a little steep but acceptable. The cost of the pressure washing at $175, I thought was high. (Remember, the cost of the repair was a whole lot cheaper than a new panel so overall I am way ahead.) But while I started this process just as hurricane season began, we were now about 6 weeks into the season and I felt time was of the essence so, therefore I was willing to pay the higher price to get it done now. (I could have pressure washed the screen panel myself but did not want to wait the additional time it would have taken to get it back from the subcontractor, pick it up, wash it, bring it back and then get it back to the subcontractors. Despite this, I would use them again.
Description of Work: A panel of Armor Screen that I have for hurricane protection was damaged by rodents (suspected) during storage since the last time it was necessary to install (about 6 years ago).I brought the panel to All American Shutters and Glass for repairs...basically stitching a piece of material over the holes created by the rodent(s). All American subcontracted this work out. Because the there were rodent droppings contained withing the panel when folded, The subcontract said he had to pressure wash the 16' X 8' panel at an additional cost. The panel was then repaired to meet Miami Dade Hurricane Code. This process took about 5 or 6 weeks.

Competitve bid three Angie's list contractors, one never responded to email request then left a voice mail two days later (highest rated shutter provider in my area) after a week; 2nd contractor although a bit less expensive - walked my house, and sent quote by email, and asked me to contact him if I had any questions. Terry, of All American Shutters, INSISTED on meeting - asked questions of me, explained their shutters how they are different than others, how installation process works, walked around the house. I got an email later that night with the quotation, and a map of the house. Although All American Shutters, was not the low price contractor, the personal contact - the 'show and tell' of the shutters, installation process, sealed the deal for me! I had a thorough understanding of what I was buying ... Installation occured while at work - unbelievable it took less than a day! Keys - Keys everywhere! Inspection with City of Delray Beach - passed. Now I just need to contact my insurance company to see if I can get reduction on home owners and/or windstorm!

The final product was installed to my satisfaction. I had many issues with the installation, and it took 1-2 months to resolve everything. In the end, I wound up with beautiful windows that look and operate as I expect them to. They had to work very hard to fix all the issues with the installation, but I have to say that they did address every issue I raised with them, and I would use them again because of the effort they put in to make the job right.

All aspects of my experience with All American Shutters & Glass met or exceeded my expectations. Their response to my request for an estimate was prompt, courteous and professional. After getting multiple estimates I decided to use them. Each step of the process (estimate, formal proposal, final measurements and installation) were completed on time and in a very satisfactory manner. The shutters look good and operate easily. I would readily recommend them to my friends and actually already recommended them to one of my neighbors.

We recently had a hurricane scare (Isaac) in Fort Myers, FL. This was going to be the first hurricane since we moved here 3 years ago. So I was surprised when I found out my shutters for my house were not the correct sizes. I called All American Shutters & Glass expecting the worst as my house was 6 years old and I was the second owner. I figured they would tell me I should have tried them on the house a long time ago. They did not though. When I called, I was surprised to be talking to one of the owners (Tony Barbieri). He was very nice and said he was on his way from West Palm to Fort Myers because he knew a potential emergency was possible for Fort Myers. He said we was going to be working very early the next day and that he would be glad to switch out the shutters for whatever I needed. I came the next day and he did just that. I tried the replacements on and they fit just fine now. Luckily, at least for Fort Myers, the storm shifted. It's not often a company can turn a mistake into a compliment, but they did it. I was so impressed that they stand behind their products and services, even after such a long time. I would definitely use the company if I bought a house that didn't already have shutters.

Look above. I gave them an overall rating of 100%.
Description of Work: As soon as I called them, they came out to my home to measure the patio door and window. They got the permit for me which was included in the total price. AS soon as the permit was issued, they installed the hurricane shutters. The men who installed them were polite, efficient and made sure that they did not leave my home messy. They cleaned up the area, showed me how to lock and unlock the shutters and left. I would give the company a 100% rating.

Arly Clymer is the person I dealt with at All American and he was great. Took care of all the details including permits and dealing with my HOA as we need permission from the architectural board. All went smoothly. I scheduled a time to return to the house to inspect after installation and Arly met me there and was most professional. Very happy with him and the company.
Description of Work: I decided to install permanent hurricane shutters on my house and as I am a snowflake went to Angie's to check out companies. I chose the top 2 that showed and called them for estimates as I was not there. All 2 responded in a timely manner. When I got the estimates the first one came in 30% higher than All American and I called them to ask why they would have been so much higher for the same work. They then came back to me and lowered their price by 1k. I then told them they were still higher than another A rated company. At which point they said "What do you want to pay-we want your business". I don't do business this way as its obvious they high balled me to start. They called me repeatedly to try to convince me to go with them. BTW I also got a bid from the person that had lived in my complex and did most of the other installations but he didn't take credit cards so that ruled him out. His estimate was same as All American.

Extremely smoothly. The rep. Arly Clymer provided an initial estimate when I asked him for one and when I changed my mind and decided to go in the front with fabric panels instead of impact glass, he was very responsive and submitted a revised bid. I need to mention that two other vendors on Angie's list also submitted initial bids, but one of them did not respond when I asked for a revised bid to lower the cost. The other, while very professional came in at a a price 11% higher than All American. All American was also very accommodating with the initial down payment. While all other suppliers wanter 50% UP FRONT. They accepted 30%. They completed the work on schedule as promised. The inspector came immediately after the completion of the job, and when I asked for a certificate of discharge of liability after full payment they provided it immediately. Also, a few day later, we got in the mail a laminated sheet with pictures of all the windows with the shutters closed and extra hardware for the fabric panels. I will definitely recommend them based on my experience.
Description of Work: They installed accordion hurricane shutters in all the windows except the front of the house where it was impossible to install due to architectural considerations. In the front, we used fabric panels.

The company gave me a quote and after I approved it, they completed the job within two weeks. One problem that emerged was that the vertical slats of a shutter protruded enough to keep my main door from opening out completely. They solved this by moving all the slats but one away from the door side to the other side of the shutter. This allowed the door to open fully. Also, there are glass panes set above several of the glass doors. Two of those doors are covered by an awning within a screened patio. The position of the awning leaves only a very narrow space between it and the screening above it. To get between, a person has to lie flat. Even so, a worker lay on his side and, in a sideways position, installed horizontal transparent plastic slats over the glass pane to make it hurricane-proof.

They had to do concrete work on all the balconies. So in the process they had to take out the old hurricane shutters. They came on time to give us the estimate. They looked everything over. I had them do the installation when I was not there. They actually sent me pictures of the completed work so that I could verify it was done before I sent them a check. They were very good to work with and were reasonably priced too. Everything about them was nice. Everything now looks nice and clean. They didn’t damage anything. I thought of having them come out and do my house in Florida.
