Tint Studio

Doug did an excellent job of explaining the differences in tint colors and recommended a legal tint scheme for my Mazda Miata. The results were fantastic. He spent over two hours carefully measuring, cutting, and installing top-of-the-line ceramic based tint to all my windows and graciously allowed me to sit in his well organized service bay to witness his craftsmanship. My car is significantly cooler in the all black leather interior, the A/C is much more effective, and the car looks really sharp to boot. Strongly recommended.

These men are very professional. I called the phone number listed and was called back promptly. The man gave me an overview of the process and the details of the three different grades of window film. He then gave me the prices relevent to my car for all three grades of film. Having had window film installed in the past in another local city, I was familier with comparitive prices. The prices at Tint Studio were lower than I had experienced in the past. We left our car and returned a couple of hours later ( only for our convenience). The job was done very professionally and neatly. We are now considering having them tint several windows in our home in the near future.

We stopped by the company a few days ago to check out prices. The location can be a little difficult to find but once we got there it was worth the trip. The owner was very knowledgeable and walked us through the different options for window tinting that we had (because we have electronic sensors in the tires, our first choice of metallic tint was not going to be the best choice). We made an appointment for Friday because we needed to get home, but he was willing to do it there within the hour if we wanted. We dropped the car off Friday night and picked it up Saturday, and everything looks great. The one suggestion I would have is to have trial sheets of the various tints to look at - even though they won't look the same as on the actual car, it would be nice to be able to see the gradations of tint and compare.

We talked with Doug and he described the 3 cost options. We decided to go with the highest priced of the 3 options. This is a solid, professionally run, owner operated small business. They did a real good job on both cars. Doug said they have been in business for 7 years and own the building. It is located a few blocks from an I-75 exit so it was easy to access. I used them based on Angies list recommendations instead of locations much closer to my home and I'm glad I did. They also offered a $20 per car discount when I mentioned Angies List.

It went well and only took a couple of hours from start to finish. He cleaned up as he went along and answered all my questions.

Great job. I arrived a little late, gentleman at the counter said ''no problem". Took my vehicle in and immediately began work. Once completed, he reminded me not to roll windows down for 3 days. He even placed tape over the buttons to prevent activating them by accident.

I called Tint Studio and they came out the same day to give me an estimate. I was shown a variety of films available and the pros and cons of each were discussed. I made the selection I thought would work best for my house and was given an estimate which I thought was reasonable. They were able to schedule installation for the next week when I was already having some additional work done at the house. The were on time, got right to work and finished quickly leaving no mess. I even received a follow-up call to make sure everything turned out ok. Exceptional service.

On the 31st of January, Mike Sandeman came out to give me an estimate of tinting a windows and sliding doors in our home. Our house had a few windows that were tinted from a previous owner and he did a great job matching up the colors. My husband always makes me get three estimates. His price came in the lowest by far. Mike is the owner of this company and he has employees that work for him. He does not sub out his jobs. They carry their own insurance, they are bonded, and licensed. I was pleasantly surprised when they called and said they could come out a little early if that would work for me. They were very professional, got right to work and were done in approximately in 1 1/2 hours. The family room looks awesome and it already feels cooler in there. I would definitely hire them again! I have a 2011 Honda CRV and needed the windows tinted to help cool the car with the heat of the Florida sun. I read the previous reviews for Tint Studio and then contacted their office to make an appointment. I spoke with both Mike and Doug before bringing in my car. I chose the LLumar lifetime tint and couldn't be happier. It took a few hours to take care of my car mainly because my tailgate window had recently been replaced due to a minor accident and there were glass pieces still inside the window/door. Doug took care of everything and fixed the problem that another glass company left behind and he did so at no extra charge. My car looks great and it's been much cooler inside. I would definitely use their services again for both auto and residential.

They were really for my car and did a great job in reasonable time.

I used Angie's list to obtain all my quotes. I got approximately 6-7 quotes. Tint Studio was the ONLY one who told me about the Teco rebate program. When looking at the other sample films left by other companies NONE of them would of qualified for the discount. I was shocked. I went with Tint Studio and was very impressed. On time, cleaned up all messes and they did an excellent job. I filled out my paper work with Teco and I will get a rebate of about $288. Even the dark film required by Teco still looks really good. I would use them again!

He was very helpful in picking out the right materials and locations that I need and show me how to qualify for a rebate.. We are very happy.....

I bought a new car and promptly started looking for a window tinting place. After seeing the positive reviews on Angie's List, I decided to check out Tint Studio and stopped in to their location on Gibsonton Dr behind the Raceway gas station. I spoke with Doug there on a Friday and made the next available appointment, which was on Tuesday. Doug said they perform lots of tint jobs on new vehicles and work directly with a couple of dealerships. He showed me the 3 levels of tint available (I went with the middle one), and explained the reduction of heat from the sun with each, as well as what was legal and what wasn't. He told me to allow 2 hrs for the appointment, but he and his assistant finished in about 1 hr 15 minutes. They told me to leave the car parked in the sun for a few days and not to roll the windows down for 3 days. I am very pleased with the work they did; it looks absolutely perfect.

I found Tint Studio on Angie's List. I called and talked to Mike about tinting a couple large front windows, our front doors and the window above the front doors. He took the measurements, gave us a quote and we discussed the film choices. We decided on a specific tint we liked and he scheduled to come out two days later. He was punctual, professional and did an amazing job. We were just moving into our home and the most obvious windows needing attention were the front, however, we have already discussed adding additional windows. I am very pleased with the first installation and will use Tint Studio for the rest of our window tinting needs.

Again (this is the second car Mike and staff has tinted for us) Tint Studio did an awesome job for us. I called Mike, reviewed what I wanted, spoke to his installer and arranged a time to drop off my car. When I arrived his installer took time away from the car he was working on (a brand new Corvette) to review what I wanted and to offer some suggestions. When I returned that afternoon to pick up my car he once again made sure I was satisfied with the work, took time to go over everything with me, and answered my questions before requesting payment. It has been a little more than a week with my new tint and the difference in the interior of my car is spectacular, not to mention that it looks nice, too! I highly recommend Tint Studio. I expect to use them in the near future on the windows in my house.

I have no idea about the price. I didn't pay for it. My husband took care of that. There was really nothing that stood out about them. They did a good job. They were there on time and worked pretty quickly. I don't have any complaints about the quality.

Mike and his employees did an excellent job going over the products and options for tinting my son's vehicle's windows. They were flexible and responsive when it came to scheduling a time to perform the work, and when doing so, did it in the time frame specified. The work was as described, and exceeded our expectations. They even put a windshield "strip" on for a trial basis for no charge. I would highly recommend Tint Studio for automotive tinting, so much so that I am planning on having my vehicle's windows tinted there in the near future.

The overall rating of service we gave was an 'A', although it did not start out that way. In order to give credit to the company's owner for fully repairing a botched service, we decided on a high rating that is largely reflective of the end result. In fairness to AL members, however, we felt it right to give a full description of what happened, and so our story is told in two parts... Part I - In light of Tint Studio's outstanding record of service on AL, we were surprised when we were dealing with employee Bob (not actual name) at the Gibsonton location that the level of service, communication and quality was not outstanding -- in fact, it was not even up to par. When speaking with Bob, it was not always clear what exactly he was going to be doing to the car's windows, and when it was expected to be completed. It was like pulling teeth trying to get that information out of him. There was also an issue of trust when we were asked to pay in cash instead of using a credit card. It seemed unusual that the credit card machine just happened to be 'down' when it came time to pay for services. We did get receipts, however, as we were more than a little skeptical about this request. We were concerned that the company's owner(s) would never see that money and it did not feel right with us. On top of that, we realized quickly once the work was done that the job was not performed with a high level of care, and that there were many imperfections in the tint. Overall, we were not satisfied with what we paid for, and Tint Studio was headed for a 'D' rating at best. Part II - We called Tint Studio to arrange for fixes to be made to the many imperfections we noticed in the original tinting job. After speaking with Mike, the company's owner, we quickly realized that our service was victim to a disgruntled, disorganized, overworked and under-performing employee, Bob, who was on his way out. Bob had left the company on short notice. We realized that Mike's business was also victim to Bob's dealings, as Mike was working hard to fast to try to save his company's reputation and brand. We brought the car back to Mike, who re-tinted the entire car in a matter of hours, without a noticeable blemish. Mike even followed-up several times by phone to ensure that the service met our expectations, and it did. Because of the great work Mike did in fixing the problem and providing excellent work, we are now considering using Tint Studio again for UVA/UVB protection on the windows in our house, and we plan to call Mike for tinting services on future car purchases as well. Overall, the service had a couple of big hiccups, seemingly due to an employee turnover situation, but because we feel those issues have been corrected with the departure of Bob. Due to owner Mike's resolve and the end result of service, we feel that Tint Studio deserves a high rating for the job. Thanks, Mike!

Found this business via Angies list so 8/15/10 I emailed to see if they do mobile auto tinting, received email saying they did. Went to shop 8/16/10 and let them look at my vehicle, got quote ($149) and asked them to get back to me on price for mobile service (I'm located 28.9 miles-all interstate driving- away from shop). 8/22/10-1 week later-never heard back so I emailed them again. Got response "Call Robert at 813-672-1379 to schedule a time. The cost would be $199.95 plus tax. Thank you have a great day!". Now maybe it's just me but when you approach someone to do business (especially in this economy) and they say they will get back to you and don't and you have to recontact them, a simple apology is in order. Also I think an extra $50 is a little expensive, even with gas @ close to $3.00 a gallon. I'm a very busy person and don't have alot of free time and I don't mind paying a fair price for good service/product, but this seems excessive for mobile window tint. You can get an AC maintanance check for $80-90 and there specially trained technicians. Needless to say I'll find someone else from Angies list.

We are very happy with the installation and product and will recommend them in the future.

Called on Tuesday for a 9am appointment on Saturday(recommended making an appointment) Arrived right at 9am and they got right to it. They showed me three different types of film ( went with the least expensive). Had all five windows tinted to Florida legal on my 2010 Scion XD (did not get the strip on the front). I was out the door by 10:45. They have a couch and cable TV so you can wait if you want like I did. There is also a convenience store next door in case you want a cup of coffee and a snack while you wait. This is the 2nd time I have used these folks and both times they did a fantastic job. The price was $129.00 plus tax with a total of 139.00.

Nice, friendly, easy to work with, cleaned up his mess, flexible. Priced as expected. I am using these guys again to do my car

It took about 90 minutes to tint all six windows ( including removing the back window cages) and they did a very professional job. They had a nice clean shop and had cable TV to watch while I waited. The price to do the job was very reasonable and I will use them again when needed.

Called one day before and they showed up on time (early). The installer new what he was talking about and had 15 years experience. He quickly gave me an exact estimate and started the job once approved. I am now sitting in my glare less living room enjoying the view. Did not charge me to remove bad tint job on one window either!
