Description of Work: I'm an Interior Decorator and I had this company install a closet for a client of mine. I had been hired to redo a condo on Reddington Beach.

+ -1 moreTHE DRYWALL NICHE WAS AS REQUESTED, ALTHOUGH THE LIGHT SWITCH & PLATE WERE REPLACED, PROTRUDING AT LEAST A 1/2" FROM WALL, ALL BASE MOLDING WAS REPLACED WITH UP TO 3/4" GAPS AT END AND NOT CAULKED, CEILING LIGHTS LEFT DANGLING. CLOSETS CONFIGURED AS AGREED BUT DRYWALL LEFT WITH OBVIOUS ROUGH PATCHES PAINTED OVER. POCKET DOORS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED SO DO NOT WORK. DOOR HARDWARE NEVER INSTALLED; DOOR TRIM & BASE MOLDING INCOMPLETE; UNLEVEL SHELVES,SHELF ENDS BARELY REACHING SUPPORT BRACKETS IN SEVERAL PLACES,1 NOT EVEN ATTACHED TO WALL ON 1 CORNER, SOME SHELVING SCUFFED AND DIRTY. WHEN ASKED TO MAKE CORRECTIONS, INSTALLER ADVISED "TOO MUCH TIME HAD BEEN WASTED ON THIS PROJECT", AND HAD TO MOVE ON TO OTHER CUSTOMERS. COMPANY INSISTS ON FULL PAYMENT. ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE THRU BBB UNSUCCESSFUL. QUOTES FROM 2 CONTRACTORS TO CORRECT ERRORS EXCEED ADDITIONAL $1200 BEING DEMANDED FROM SQUARED AWAY. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE: RUN, DON'T WALK IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THIS CO!
Description of Work: HIRED TO CONVERT 2 REACH-IN CLOSETS TO WALK-IN CLOSETS WITH SHELVING SYSTEM, AND CREATE A DRYWALLED NICHE AT THE END OF THE HALLWAY. NICHE WAS COMPLETED. ESSENTIALLY, CLOSET CONVERSION WAS DONE AND NECESSARY DRYWALL, SHELVING AND DOORS WERE INSTALLED ALBEIT VERY POORLY! THEY REFUSED TO CORRECT ERRORS, LITERALLY ABANDONED THE PROJECT AND CONTINUE TO DEMAND FULL PAYMENT. IN THEIR LAST COMMUNICATION VIA BBB THEY NOW CLAIM WE REFUSED THEM ACCESS TO MAKE CORRECTIONS. AT THIS POINT, WE WANT ONLY TO CUT OUR LOSSES, RECEIVE A PAID IN FULL RECEIPT AND PROCEED WITH ANOTHER CONTRACTOR TO GET OUR CLOSETS AND OUR LIVES BACK IN ORDER. WE HAVE BEEN LIVING LIKE REFUGEES IN OUR OWN HOME FOR MONTHS!
