John explained that the parts were commercial & wouldn't be found in hardware stores. He then confirmed my address & offered to send someone to not only drop one off but also install it. We didn't need it installed but it was nice to have been offered. The parts were dropped off today! And they fit! You can't even buy that kind of customer service these days.

Tom came out very quickly to give an estimate for my pool enclosure, knowing that it might not be a huge job, but possibly just a small repair. I had 2 loose screens. He did not push me to do a complete rescreen, but I was open to his advice about the age and condition of the enclosure. Everything he said made sense and I could see the problem areas he pointed out. I hired them to do a complete rescreen and less than a week later, all the work is done. Looks great, prompt, professional. Tom followed up on his crew and came out to make sure everything was done well. And he even did a little extra (at no charge) and spray cleaned with bleach to make the enclosure itself look brand new. Can't say enough about the service I received and would definitely hire again and recommend.

I couldn't ask for a better experience. The communication was timely, the workers were professional and pleasant (and punctual) The cost was well within what I had budgeted for. The workmanship is great. Explanations were given as to what was being done, why it was being done that way and what I wanted was taken into consideration. There was a delay in having it inspected due to the paper work (not sure what the issue was) but the owner (Mike) came out with the correct papers and followed up with me after the inspection. I will definitely use this company again.

They never complained about the work. They even got the proper permits to do the work. There was excellent and constant communication, which made it very nice. They even put in hooks for me to hang up some of my plants, so they really went above and beyond. They were very considerate to make sure my cat didn't get loose while they did the work. The clean up was great!! They were super!! I would absolutely recommend them to anybody! They are really caring and care about their employees.

From start to finish it was great. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and helpful. Before he left our house, he even personally replaced the screen that our dog had just destroyed. The price was reasonable, the crew came when they were supposed to, and worked so hard I got tired just watching. (They even had to balance on the roof beams to accomplish replacing some of the roof screening.) It gets even better! We noticed a small problem after a month or so, and the owner came out to fix it. He noticed something that we had not seen. On his own, he came back later and replaced at no charge a panel with which he was not happy. When we change our screened-in porch in a few years, Signature will get the call!

After my initial contact to the company the salesman returned my call within 2 hours. Set an appointment for the following day. He arrived on time and gave me a quote. Agreed on a date for the installation. Showed up when promised and did an excellent job.

They just finished enough recently. The price was reasonable. I think, maybe, less than when I did some shopping on the pricing. They are extremely professional, detail-oriented, and make sure that everything is right. And if it is not, they will correct it. They will not give you an increase about it, and they are good as far as relationship with customer is good. I will give them definitely an A across the board for they are good. If there is something in mind for the future, I will use them, of course.

The whole team at Signature Specialty did an excellent job in designing and building our patio and screen enclosure. The county permitting process took almost 3 weeks which was a little frustrating but once the permit was issued the complete job took less than a week. On the first day a two-man crew removed all the sod and hauled it away ( a really big job), built the foundation forms, treated the soil, and laid down the vapor barrier. The next day the county inspector approved the footing forms. The concrete was poured, leveled, and finished on day three. After letting the concrete set for 24 hours a four-man screen crew arrived and built the screen covered aluminum structure. This crew worked for 9 hours straight and did an outstanding job. We are completely satisfied with the quality of the final product. The cost was also very reasonable.

The entire team was attentive and customer focused. They handled the permit process, design, and build of the new patio area. We liked our current patio, but needed more room. Tom and the team built a quality structure and communicated well during the process.

Working around rain storms, poured 6" thick concrete pad (16'x23'). Didn't always arrive when stated though one of the workers' father had an illness. Screen room went up quickly when they were working. Job was well done within an appropriate timeframe.

They were professional in their presentation. Though the proposal had to be emailed to us at a later date.

Mike and his crew did an amazing job on our lanai. They are professional, detail oriented, and very respectful. He also offers a two-year warranty of all work, while competitors offer one mostly. I highly recommend Signature Specialty Contractors and co-owner Mike Gigante particularly.

About 4 years ago, we had Johnny (SSC) come out and build a new 600 square foot patio with brick-pavers, screens, doggie doors, and extend the roof line. As you know the Florida weather takes a toll on things after a while. We asked SSC to come out and repair screens, paneling, and door mechanisms. As always, the experience was awesome all the way around! What I like most about this company is that while they are in business to make a profit, they don't try and rip you off and they ALWAYS do a high quality job. I always feel like I get a great product and service at a fair price!

Overall the experience was excellent. Contractor was very professional and responsive. Contractor (Johnny) came out when he said he would in exception of one day due to the weather but he called to say he would not be able to make it. The work was completed on time and was professionally done. We are very happy with the results. We would recommend using this contractor and would use him again.

Other than grilling on occasion, we barely stepped out on the lanai. Once we got our act together after a mere 12 years and a bad DIY experience, we found Signature on Angie's List. Within 36 hours, Johnny came by and wrote up a proposal. We had checked out some other vendors that came in above and below price-wise. We're very happy we went with Signature! We were on the schedule within a week and a half. The pavers were delivered on Tuesday, they were set beautifully on Wednesday and the enclosure frames and screens were installed on Friday. As in the same week. Seriously. And it looks awesome! All the workers were really nice and they did their work efficiently & neatly. Other than a little sand (which should be expected) to brush off, we didn't have to clean up after them at all. Professional, friendly, they communicate & they deliver. You can't ask for much more.

My boyfriend and I were looking for someone to build a large screen room for us that needed to incorporate the existing 12 x 13 foot "Florida Room" we already had. We scheduled 5 estimates and called way more folks than that who didn't even want to give us an estimate. Not only did Signature Specialty Contractors, Inc. meet our needs, they were willing to work with some pretty specific requests that we had. Owner, Mike, came and gave us an estimate and was willing to come back and talk with both me and my boyfriend as I had additional questions. We were comfortable with all of his answers and with his "full disclosure" approach. We scheduled the work for a couple of weeks later and he scheduled two days for the project to be completed. He obtained the permit needed to do the project and his employees showed up on the planned day. They were willing to stay late to finish project and the workers cleaned up after themselves before they left. We checked Mike's references at the BBB website and also the customer comments on his business website and all were very positive. After our personal experience, we would recommend this company to anyone and have complete trust that no one would be disappointed with the work, the approach and the value of the services provided. Signature Specialty Contractors' finished product is nice. The finished product we are really happy with, but they really jerked us around with the time and the arrival. Instead of taking one day they showed up at like 3:30 P.M. and worked for a couple of hours. Then they came back. We went through them, because of their good reputation on Angie's List, but in the end we ended up paying like $300 extra. They got such great reviews, but we were not happy with the way we were treated. It was like we were an after thought. They would come after finishing another job. They said they would be here after 12:30, then they said they would be here after 2, and then they didn't show up till 3:30. The work was fine, but the scheduling wasn't. Their price was in between. They were $300 more than 2 other companies, but my husband said we should go with them, because of their reviews. They did get an A for the finished product, but we were not treated with much respect.

Job went smoothly and was done on time in a professional manner.

Good price. It took them awhile to get me on the schedule. (They are super busy) but they did an EXCELLENT job. The screen looks great, very tight and everything caulked and sealed. No lizards at all! All in a few hours!

Overall the process went well and we are very satisfied with our new lanai. The folks at Signature Specialty gave strong assurances that they were willing to include in the contract. During the design process, Mike came up with a proposal that met our needs plus made some "short notice" changes to meet a concern during the HOA approval process. Where there were issues (as with the footer subcontractor), Johnny (the Signature Specialty lead) took pains to keep us in the loop and make things right. The paver and enclosure crews were absolutely top-notch. We watched both closely and saw high quality work with very good attention to detail. Johnny kept us well informed with the progress and schedule of the build via phone calls and e-mails. Bottom line? We recommend Signature Specialty. Good design and construction by high calibre folks who communicate well and live up to their promises. What more can you ask?

It is unquestionably atypical that a request for service be addressed (within a day of the phone call) with a cordial handshake, a friendly smile and a resoluteness to fix a roof leak that had appeared nearly one year after the job was completed (a roofed and screened patio). But Mike Gigante's Signature Specialty Contractors has proven; beyond any doubt by his attitude and actions that the "old-fashioned" and timeless standards, value and mores still exist. I did not know what to expect when I called Mike to let him know that the roof our 200 sq. ft. patio began leaking during the heavy rains - after all, the job was completed in August last year (2012). Most firms would have the propensity of flicking the previous customer off citing a barrage of justifications and excuses for not doing anything about a problem but being opportunist to entice more payments. But not Mike Gigante. He responded in a fashion that others should take note and emulate. For him, the elapse of time does not erode his sense for "above and beyond" customer service and satisfaction. Maintaining positive relationships with his clients as well as his reputation and credibility remain his "bottom line." He arrived the next day after I called him and was ready to handle any situation. He quickly assessed the situation and was prepared not only to fix the problem (caused by weather induced expansion and contractions; as he explained) but also, to ensure that no other future leaks could reasonably occur. For people like me, a "signature" represents one's persona as well as a reflection of one's pledge; to self and to others, as a binding commitment to do what is right - whether short or long-termed. I would highly recommend Mike Gigante's Signature Specialty Contractors to those who want things done with the ethos of days now gone - with long term personal and professional care and a sense of righteousness coupled with the aspiration of earning and maintaining the trust and confidence of friends they have yet to meet.

The men John and Thomas were very informative and friendly. However the repair ( actually replace) they suggested of replacing the gutters ( only 4 years old) seemed a little extreme. I called another company and they fixed the issue for $225 not the estimate of $2000 I received from Signature Specialty Contractors.

These guys are great. They did everything they said, timely and tidy!They went above and beyond when they discovered some roof rot on the corner- and replaced & repaired accordingly. They even installed a new pet door for us! The pool cage is beautiful and the workmanship impressive and obvious! They really care about what they do- This was the best home-construction experience I've ever had.

John Spieldenner's team was working on a home in our neighborhood when they witnessed our large dog breaking through our pool screen enclosure. Later that afternoon, the Signature Crew knocked on our door and suggested we consider installing new pet screen on the lower levels of our enclosure. John Came out a few days later and fixed the initial issue we had with the broken screen and gave us an estimate to finish the rest of the enclosure with the stronger pet screen. His crew showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would and were very professional. We could not be more pleased with their work.
