Get-Er-Dun, Riverview, Fl 33569At first felt very comfortable when I met "Bill" as he is a neighbor. The price was a little less expensive than another quote- he gave me a discount. But the quality and knowledge was a little less than great. Owner was not as familiar as his tree guy who had much experience, he looked like he just got out of prison and my wife was a bit nervous. Anyway, they crushed a gutter pipe and did not tell me, and left trash on my roof. The limbs needed more cutting as well. I went to hire him again and this time the quote was very high for the work needed- cleaning up a couple of the trees and removing one that I had not hired him for in the first place. I showed him the gutter and trash on the roof and said they would take care of it when they came back.I did not hire them for the second job and he never contacted me again to either inquire if I wanted the work done or to fix/clean his mess. I'm going with a more professional company that I believe, will give me better quality. After I complained, and wanted him to come back to trim more branches and remove another tree. ALL AT MY EXPENSE. when I showed him the damage to my gutter and the trash that his "KEY MAN" left on the roof, "Bill" gave me an exorbitant estimate and never called back after I told him that I would think of the quote with my wife. His estimate with the discount was about $100 less than a competing company that has been in business for 20 years. I picked him because he was a neighbor and I am a retired firefighter and he is a retired police officer as well. I always hesitated about Angie's List, now I am sold.... 10/21/14 UPDATE- Apparently, Someone from the above company came back and picked up their trash and sawed off the crushed portion of the gutter that they ran over with their equipment. I hired another tree company for additional work and also to clean up some of the cuts that were made in a large oak. Despite the claim made by the owner of "Get-Er-Dun" about price being the real issue for my complaint, I am actually paying MORE than what he quoted me for this job. I learned the hard way that low price does not always equal quality work.
