Frank Aluminum Roofing

I don't even know where to begin the horror story. I contracted Frank Connolly to put a new roof on. Seemed like a nice man. Permits were pulled and money was paid. Materials did not look like we had agreed upon. I tried to be nice to the workers, bringing either breakfast and coffee or lunch each and every day for all workers. I stayed out of the way. Hired extra worker to help clean up out side and pick up nails etc. Well one issue was a sky light they broke, which they offered to replace, great, well it leaked from the start of replacement. July of 2011 It has taken until today for him to send some one to fix the ceiling on the inside . Only partial. House is now for sale, I paid three times for inside to be repaired, but it kept leaking. Today it did seem dry. I still need to go and get paint and finish myself . In all fairness, Frank Connolly did send a sheet rock man to the house yesterday. When I asked for his insuracne information, he said he had to make a phone call and be right in. Well after about 20-30 mins. I found out he left! Frank Connolly laughed and said I scared him away. Well if you are sent by a company and doing work I have a right to make sure you are insurred! To this date Frank Connolly will not give me any of his insurance information. The sheet rock man that came today, did give me his information and was very pleasant and I had no issue other than he said he called Frank Connolly and that he (Frank) would have to get proper ceiling texture paint. Again, since it is not finished, I will have to. The house is being showed with gray patches on ceiling. Does not look good. Room off of boat port, would get wet spots, did not pass homebuyer's inspection. Lost the sale of my home. I have come down almost 50,000.00 because of the flooring damage caused by his leaks, the wall damage caused by his leaks and the patching of the bathroom ceiling patch work. Two houses on my street sold three weeks ago, for almost there asking price. So it is not the market here it is the "water damage" scaring them away! Today one of his worker's told me lady we have proof this is not leaking.....they have taken pictures of the damage well they did that months ago and left, I have too and you can see the difference and smell it. This worker, first time I saw him was today. Was up on the roof talking in Spanish saying not so very nice things about me? I did inform his boss I understood some of the names I was being refered too. Also, I think some of the "acts" might not be humanlly possible or at least illegal!! This worker continued to give me legal advice getting in my face, inside and out, to where I felt in danger for my safety. The forman even admitted to the damage as did Frank, but have they fixed it...? It's under warrenty.....and what about the inside damage? It should not of take me crying and calling for months, over a year, to get them to finially do something inside and hopefully the roof is good. The workmanship is warrented for ten years and materials for 15 years. I hope that the roof is fixed, but I still have damage inside and keep being given excuses of not our fault, an old leak....excuse me,it wasn't there before and isn't that why you put a new roof on? To protect the new flooring etc. I am at my wits end. You could not of paid me 100,000.00 to go through the upset and pain this job has cause. They did how ever get the last of their materials a ladder and scaffel they left since July of 2011. I wonder if that is a sign they won't be back? So this is my story, in short. I have loved this home and put alot of money into it. I thought I would live the rest of my life here. But getting a new roof has changed all that. It is a great house, everyone loves it, then you look at the damaged wall and floor and ceiling...... If you ever do business with this company, please get every word on paper, hire a contractor to watch them and film the whole thing. You might need it down the road. But hey, he seems like such a nice guy...... It is now May of 2013, Frank (owner) has never come back, never given me his insurance information, ever returned another phone call, even after I asked him for his attorneys number. I want FRANK TO KNOW THAT HE HAS CAUSED ME SO MUCH GRIEF AND THE VALUE OF THE HOUSE IS ABOUT 100,000 LESS BECAUSE OF HIS WORKMAN SHIP DAMAGE TO FLOORS WALLS AND CEILINGS, etc. I do not know how you can look at your self taking advantage of us. You sould be ashamed of yourself. I hope you feel real good about yourself, and to think you did this to John also who was 90 at the time! Shame on you!

Frank Connolly did the roofing. He did a fabulous work. When he came first time, he gave me a very reasonable estimate. I had got three estimates. I called other two people and they never called back. I contacted a real estate agent and asked whom he used for roofing. He then recommended Frank aluminum roofing. He was prompt. He said he would come next week to do the work, and he came. He had little bit more work than he thought he would have to do. He charged slightly extra just for the number of sheets of plies woods I had to replace; but nothing more than that. It was very reasonable. His price is very good. I wouldn?t use anybody else in the future.
