David Spence Inc.

One of the service reps was excellent, but the other (owner's son) was not. Work was never completed, but the owner (David Spence) called me and threatened me for not paying the remaining balance for incomplete part of work. David Spence is insulting, unprofessional, and (frankly) frightening. I did pay the balance right away, but the work has yet to be completed.

Quality of work was no where near what I was expecting. Tile work had to be completely redone and even the redone tile is not level. Gap along vanity... Not a true finished professional job which is what I was expecting to get. Communication issues between initial conversations and then how the contract was written. Multiple misunderstandings resulting in rework. The items that were done better and professional in my opinion were the Shower Doors and the Countertop installation... both of these were sub-contracted out to skilled workers. I am glad the bathroom is done, I just wish I had used someone else. Way overpriced for the quality of the work provided.

It's always an odd feeling having a stranger come into your home but Matt arrived and immediately I felt at ease with his professional and friendly personality. The speed and efficiency of his work were great. I also liked that he made sure to clean up and place the old ones in the garage for us to dispose of later. I will happily contact Matt in the future for any other electrical works and will recommend this company to my friends.

Matt was wonderful and explained what was originally done. He was great during the whole process of tracing the wires and figuring out what the issue was.

They made room in their booked schedule the same day I called. Hard worker, integrity and professionalism best describe our experience with Matt. This was our third company we decided to interview to service our problem. The first two companies came with the mindset to sell unnecessary upgrades and remind us of their troubleshooting fee. They hardly used their voltmeter. Matt had the mindset to come in our house and find the problem to give us an honest estimate. His was so focus and determine I felt comfortable with him handling the job. By the time he left our problem was solved at a very reasonable price. It feels good to know in the future David Spence Inc. will handle our electrical issues. Thank YOU!!.

We had some hiccups as you can see from the previous post, but Davids team came out and rerouted and fixed the tile. it looks a lot better now.

Work was scheduled but unable to proceed as planned due to illness. Job was rescheduled and with 3 man crew was able to be completed in 1 day. Job was completed . Pictures were provided, since most of work done on rooftop

I was very impressed with the company. The gentlemen that performed the work was highly knowledgeable, professional and cleaned up after himself! He was respectful of my property inside and out. He laid tarps to catch any debris and left not a speck of dirt. The work was completed with high caliber skill, and I would most definitely hire this company again; as well as recommend them!

FANTASTIC! Within days of accepting their job estimate, we were contacted and scheduled for the work to be completed. A PROFESSIONAL CREW - in our case - Ken & Adam - arrived as scheduled and on time to begin the job. And while everyone knew what was on the project to be done, if there was any question or adjustment to be made, we were promptly brought into any discussion. Like most remodeling jobs, there is always an uncovered surprise along the way. Issues were immediately discussed and resolved to our complete satisfaction. There was no rush on their part to hurry through the job - just a steady workmanlike order - and a thorough and professional job was completed within days, with minimal inconvenience to us. We will certainly hire David Spence, Inc. again as we need to in the future. A big THANK YOU to all the folks at David Spence, Inc. who we did not have the pleasure of meeting and who nonetheless made it all happen so nicely!

It went very well. I was very impressed with the workers because they cleaned up the dust and mess they created each day. They also did several small things for us without us asking them nor did they charge me for those. Such as patching a wall that had openings in it from shelves that were removed. I also appreciated how they worked with me and the insurance company for the payment. They went above and beyond assisting me with my repair work. They exceeded my expectations on every level! The repair was suppose to take 10 days to 2 weeks. They were completely done in less than 4 days! The work was done beautifully. I can now have people in my home and be proud. They helped me with the financial part of it also. I will forever be grateful that I chose them to do the repair in my home! They renewed my faith in Christian businesses and God! I highly recommend David Spence, Inc.

Called in the AM and requested a late afternoon appointment which they agreed. Matt was on time, professional, provided a fair estimate, and completed the work quickly! Planning on hiring to install additional remodeling/LED lightening - Will hire again!

Matt was on-time, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Matt took the time to walk around the house and address all of our questions and concerns. The job completed was well done. I will definitely be using this company again.

David and his team did a great job. The windows are beautiful. Seems to help with the temperature in the house and reduces the noise. I had a bay window that needed some modification because the new windows were thicker. They built the bay out slightly so the windows would fit and did a great job. It looks better than it did originally. I've added a picture of the finished bay window. Looks great! Thank you.

Really did a fine job, very up front on what work needed to be done, Matt was very courteous and helpful. They gave me what I needed and didn't try to sell more than what I asked for. Did a great job, it Works! and they cleaned up afterward. Now that I know they do other work, I have a contractor to help me in the future.

Everyone at David Spence Inc is wonderful from Kristy taking down the information, to Matt, the electrician. He was prompt, friendly, courteous and informative. I very rarely write reviews for anything, but nowadays its so difficult to find honest hardworking people in any industry, I had to tell everyone these folks are exemplary!

Punctual, friendly, informative. I have a lot of little jobs to complete, so after they gave me a quote I had them break it into phases so I could do the most important things first. There was some Masonary work to do but I felt their price was high so they recommended someone else, I really appreciated that. They truly work with me even if they aren't the ones doing the job. I will call them again when I'm ready to renovate my bathroom and I will and have refereed them to my coworkers.

Poorly. To elaborate; - When scheduling, we were told the appointment would be "between 9 and 10 am." Apparently, that means they will show up at some random time between 9 and 10 am, rather than the meeting will last for one hour, from 9 to 10 am. - While meeting for the estimate, David made strange comments about not being involved in sports and "how much testosterone" he had running through his system. Thanks for mansplaining to the pretty little lady that you can lift a box of tile. So can I. - This is our fifth home remodel and I am a realtor who has helped investors purchase and remodel properties. To make the bidding process easier, we did a lot of work to put together the preliminary scope of work, floor plans and tile/fixtures budget (i.e. the most difficult part of estimating). During the meeting, David basically said we had to buy all materials through his suppliers because he was worried they wouldn't be at the job site when he needed them. Totally bogus excuse. We would have had them at the job site before the work even started and would not have expected or required any warranty by the contractor for materials we supplied. In other words, he wants to charge you $5/sqft for tile you can buy for $2/sqft at Floor and Decor. Caveat emptor. - They called the next day with some other bogus excuse about not being able to bid the work. Wonder why? Because he only works with ignorant homeowners he can gouge on materials and who won't question anything he does. Well, there are obviously plenty of those out there. In short, if you're a proactive homeowner who knows anything about construction, costing, etc., this won't be a good fit for you.

Awesome! The crew from David Spence is top notch. Very professional, clean, friendly, and did great work!!!!

I called about my issue, got same day service and only a one hour window. Matt the technician called me before heading to my house and arrived within the 1 hour window. Matt was very knowledgeable with a great personality to match. He checked every possibility and found that a faulty exterior socket was connected and causing problems with my bathroom socket. He fixed a burnt wire, put in a new socket and everything worked. Overall, this was one of the best services I have ever received off of Angies List
