We were referred to this company to get a fence quote. These guys provided a fence quote which was a good deal. The workers arrived and did an excellent job. The yard looks way different now. Jim is a great guy as well as his two daughters Rene and Rhonda, who were friendly and answered all of our questions. Would do business with these guys again. Thanks!

This company also goes by Bay Area Fence Enclosures, LLC. Horrible, the provider installed bad pickets; splitting and rotten. Other problems found; latch was installed on the wrong side of the door from what I requested, large gaps between boards (suppose to be privacy fence), gate had to be replaced because they installed a 4X6, instead of a 5X6; secretary/owner Rhonda, once again didn't make correction on contract, like she said she would via phone. Gate had other issues as well; all boards on gate were cut on the bottom and was too high above the ground, wide gap towards the bottom front side of gate, the gate was hard to open; had to lift on it and pull, due to top defective hinge, looked like it was coming apart. Had to call Rhonda several times, I even emailed her pictures of fence. I called her father Jim who was the owner as well (?) not sure, maybe they are both the owners. I had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charges and get quotes from other companies. Rhonda & Jim finally contacted me and blamed it on lack of communication on their behalf. Jim came out and agreed the job was horrible. I told him I was surprised no one ever came out to look at the workmanship and materials until they found out I was disputing their bill. They did replaced the gate, hinges and almost half of the pickets. I had to take time off from work being that I didn't take time off the first time they came over, I was surprise to see that they had a Home Depot rental verses a company vehicIe, when I question that I was told it was due to their vehicle catching on fire. They had to come out to my property several times and not once did I see a company vehichle. They had to come back again because they didn't bring enough pickets, so again I had to stay home. The guys were upset they had to keep coming back. Days later Jim called me because they left the gate in my backyard, sure enough it was back there, he asked me if I can put it out front, I told him the gate was too heavy for me, he then asked me if I can get help from someone. When they came to pick up the 4X6 gate, they left my gate wide open, I went outside closed my gate and I was glad I was done dealing with that company. A month later I saw a piece broken off a picket on the gate where hinge is attached. I didn't call them back.

The owner of the company, Jim, had an appointment to give us an estimate on a fence addition on a Saturday at 9am. The secretary assured me that if he was unable to make the appointment or had to reschedule he would call. I received no phone call on Saturday when he did not show up and was only able to leave a message for them. On the next Monday by 4pm I had not received a followup call from their office. When I called myself and asked why no one showed up, their response was "I have no idea....would you like to reschedule?". Not even an apology. The person who rescheduled was the owner's daughter. THAT is when I found out that the person who blew off our Saturday appointment was the owner. Because I wanted the addition to match the original fence (which they installed 3 years prior), I allowed them to set up another appointment with Jim for today at 9am. Jim showed up on time but never acknowledged that he had missed the previous appointment. When I asked him about it his response was "Yeah, I guess I missed that one." No apology! When I told him I was a little taken aback by the lack of followup and that my confidence in his company was diminished by the experience, his response was "So did I make a trip out here for nothing, then?" I gave Jim his card back and told him I would not be doing business with him. He just turned around and walked away. Additionally, he wore no uniform or company shirt that identified him as being affiliated with Bay Area Fencing (nor did his vehicle). The whole experience was unpleasant, unprofessional and certainly a waste of my time. Apparently, they are doing so well they did not need our business. I would not recommend this fencing company.
Description of Work: We had a vinyl fence installed around our backyard by Bay Area fence approximately three years ago. At the time, they did great work for a fair price. Today we needed an addition put on this fence, and our experience was terrible.
