Mr. Roberts was prompt and responsive both in contacting me to schedule and showing up to do the work. Work was done well and design issues were solved with easy fix. I cleaned up afterwards because I am very picky - Tracy offered to vacuum. His painter Wilbur also did more touch-ups on the original trim and I was not charged any extra for it. I will definitely use Tracy again, when I have carpentry or other "handyman" type tasks.

Tracy is very professional and customer oriented. He is someone I feel I can trust to have more work performed in the very near future. When he talks the about various repairs needed on my house, he speaks with authority from having a broad base of experience to draw from. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

The men the provided were semi skilled painters but they did no wall or trim preparation so now the paint is peeling. Plus they sold me on using oil paint but gave me latex. The same men tried to lay the floor but were total beginners with pergo laminate. They hammered it into place on every piece which is causing chips, splinters and cracks in a brand new floor. They could not keep the flooring straight. Some of the gaps on the ends run from 0 to 1/2". They had no saw, either hand or power saw, to undercut the door jambs and when they did they used a saber saw with coarse teeth which boggers up the wood, therefore every door jamb looks like it was installed with a hatchet. The shoe mold because of the gaps at the wall run up and down off the floor leaving large gaps. They used a nail gun to shoot in the thresholds and split every one. The paint line around the rooms looks like a blind person painted them. I intend to take this contractor to small claims court.

Professional job, and clean up, stuck to quoted price, I have no complaints.

No complaints. The workers that came with Tracy were experienced and seemed to be well qualified. The work was done promptly and to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend Tracy to anyone needing work of this nature done.

Tracy and crew had previously done some cabinet work in my laundry room, so when we decided to remodel the bathroom they were my first call. Tracy was very responsive to my request for an estimate and was also willing to work with me on the final price, which ultimately ended up in him doing some extra work for me (painting, replacing a door frame, etc.) The project was initially delayed because of inclement weather. This was through no fault of Tracy's, of course, and I only mention it because I was impressed by the fact that he checked in with me every day so I wouldn't feel put off. Once the weather passed, Tracy and crew showed up working! They literally came in the door tools in hand ready to go. No project of this size is without it's unexpected issues. Ours was no exception, but Tracy was responsive and addressed everything himself at no additional cost. The final result is a beautifully remodeled bathroom that turned out exactly as I had hoped. We still have a few more projects on our house "to do" list. When the time comes, I'd call Tracy again without hesitation.

I filled out a contact form online and Tracey called me back the same day, but that is where the promptness and professionalism ended. He said he had a job out in Woodville and would call me before coming by to quote me on a job. It was difficult to understand him on the cell phone, he must have been in a lower service area. He mentioned he would call after he left the Woodville site. I took off from work and waited the whole day but never received the call back. I had mentioned the type of work needed but I had some other projects as well. My budget was $4,000-$10000 for all the work needed but we didn't discuss budget on the call. The online contact form had my number and my address and he had my number but never called to say he wasn't going to make it or that he would be running late. My grandfather was a cabinet maker and he would never have left a potential customer hanging. Many times he had to turn down work because he was too busy, but he never stood up customers. Unfortunately if you can't count on someone to show up to quote a job, then I wouldn't trust them or their team to show up and do a good job once selected. I choose Tracey because from the reviews he wasn't the cheapest and he had a lot of good reviews. As an hourly consultant, I lost 41 dollars an hour (328 dollars total) waiting for him in unbillable time. That's a mistake I can't afford to make again. I will move on to another vendor. He must be too busy to take on new work at this point.

I sent an inquiring via Tracy's website. Literally within minutes he called me and said he could be out to give me an estimate later that day. He showed up, exactly as he said he would, and gave me an estimate. Two days later, he and his crew (Mark) came back and did the job. I had originally drawn up a design I had in mind that included simply hanging the wall cabinets above my washer and dryer. Tracy suggested building the wall out a bit so that they would look more customized and professional. Boy was he right! My laundry room now looks completely custom and like the cabinets have been part of the house all along. Tracy was prompt, professional, and did a fabulous job. He's a genuinely nice guy to boot! They were extremely careful with my house and cleaned up everything before they left. (That in itself is somewhat rare. At least it has been in my experience.) I would work with Tracy again without hesitation. In fact, I'm making a list of projects to talk to him about now. I highly recommend Tracy Roberts Handyman Service LLC.

My overall impression was ok. I think what they did was a little overpriced. I had to call them back to touch up what they did. The quality is good if they had just paid attention to detail the first time.

I know a lot of handymen have been busy of late with the aftermath of our big rainstorm on the 4th, but I think a business would do well to follow up on initial contact beyond just acknowledging an email. Yes, I could have phoned them, but I don't think I should have to chase them down -- if business is so good for them they can ignore my request, then I'll look somewhere else.

It went alright. I was not impressed.

My wife and I recently renovated our laundry by moving a wall back to create more space (it tied into a larger home renovation). The contractor who did the work reinstalled our existing cabinets, but failed to properly hang them. One day a cabinet fell and I had to catch it mid-air before it hit my wife. Needless to say, we need someone to come out and fix this problem. Tracy Roberts has high Angie's List reviews, so we gave him a call. They came out right away and gave me a fair estimate. We had some outdoor concrete work as well, so Tracy gave me a fair quote on both projects. We ended up having him do both projects, found a time that worked for both, and his company completed the project. Note, that Tracy does have workers, so you may not get him doing the work. We were fine with that. The only negative was that I was given a 10-10:30am arrival time, but the workers didn't actually show up until 2:30pm. It took them about 3 hours to complete the project, but I was definitely annoyed about the delay. Outside of the day of time issue, Tracy's crew did good work and we would probably use them again.

Because Tracy was so busy it took several weeks for the work to be initiated and it had to be rescheduled once because he was unable to finish a project for another customer due to the weather. However, Tracy along with 2 staff arrived on time and got to work on the scheduled day. Tracy did a beautiful job on the trim work over the fireplace and the staff members did excellent work on the painting. Everyone cleaned up their work in an acceptable manner although I would have preferred that they not use my stainless steel sink to clean their brushes. I highly recommend contacting Tracy for carpentry work and painting. My only advice for the future is to be patient with the start date, get all estimates in writing, and do not delay entering your feedback into Angie's list as Tracy will hound you until you do it. :)

Tracy and his team were very responsive and professional from the estimate (Terry came out on a Sunday to give us the estimate) to completion. The job was done very well and in a timely manner. The cost was very reasonable and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. We will call Terry first for any services we will need in the future.

Tracy's crew showed up early and worked hard all day. Tracy was there regularly either working with them or supervising/explaining what was to be done. When I noticed small things I wanted to change/adjust/fix, they were very accommodating and flexible and communicated well. The trim and soffit painting went well. They were able to remove a lot of the paint from my brick house that had been put there by previous sloppy paint jobs. The brick looked great after they pressure washed the house taking extra care to remove old pain and when they repainted everything, it was a good clean job. Am very happy with the paint job. They were fast and efficient (two days) in which time they also cleared out an old chain link fence and reworked a brick walkway to eliminate a trip and fall hazard. I will definitely hire these guys again when I have more projects.

Tracy and his helpers, Wilbur and Antonio, were punctual, polite, and professional. This old house needed a lot of work as the previous owner had done a poor job of keeping the house in good condition, i.e., sloppy painting, flooring improperly installed, kitchen cabinets outdated, appliances old and dirty, formica counter top chipped and stained, etc. Tracy and his guys did excellent work--I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the integrity of Tracy and his men. In fact, he will be doing some exterior work for me in a few weeks.

Researched Angie's list and met with 3 painters. Got 2 quotes and went with Tracy, highest quote, but best references. Started out great with communication, quick start, furniture and floors covered and clean up after days work. We were asked for an additional $1000 in second week to cover unforeseen work. We wanted a great job in the end so we agreed. Then we noticed some negative changes like different workers on job and house plus yard had become very unkept and cluttered with construction debris, paper removed from furniture and floors and Tracy not on the job very much. As interior paint started we had multiple colors applied to wrong areas, paint on tile floor and furniture ,items overlooked from original contract,request was to install doggie door for mini poodle however crew installed for the height of a Great Dane (and yes dog was on site) work overlooked on repair/replace soffit vents and interior vents. When we approached Tracy about fixing broken items and completing all items for job he didn't always take responsibility for incomplete work or damage. Most was corrected but not all. In the end we were left with an average paint job at a high price, several days to clean over spray and several hours of cleaning up debris left from construction in yard. Since workers have left work space we have found many receptacles we were charged for we're not replaced and even a few were painted white to look like they were replaced. Charged $11 per unit. We would strongly recommend getting all work to be completed in writing down to little details, stay on site to oversee all work, withhold funds until complete clean up is complete or just hire a different company. Started job April 1 and completed April 27. We were told job was completed on April 24 so agreed to meet on April 26 to inspect and pay final due. Upon arriving to property at noon on April 26 we found incomplete work and no clean up. It would be the following day at approximately 4 pm when workers left property.

We were really impressed with him. He is professional and knows what to do as far as giving estimate. We were pleased with him.

This job took approximately eight months to complete. There were several contractors involved so there was a lot of coordinating and logistics to be considered. Mr. Roberts was always accommodating to the process and stages during those eight months. He was always available to coordinate his work with the other contractors on site. At times he had to do demo work and surface preparation before the other contractors could come to do their job. He was always on time with his part of the process and willing to work around issues that would arise with such a big project. Mr. Roberts is very knowledgeable of all aspects of construction and remodeling, so he was most helpful to me in defining the necessary logistics to coordinate such an extensive renovation. This was my second time working with Mr. Roberts. I will definitely use his company again for future remodel/repair work.

He showed me what he was doing along the way and was quick to point out ways to save money without compromising quality. Although there was some miscommunication in the beginning with scheduling, I was glad he was available on a Saturday. He didn't anticipate need plywood, but luckily I had some that I gave to him to use. He is definitely more comfortable using telephone communication during the quote/scheduling process, but he did respond to emails as well. He was the least expensive quote for the work and the most confident about how it was going to be done. While the scheduling mishaps and the fact he wasn't entirely prepared for the job made it take a little longer, it was not something that effected my overall opinion of his work and I will be using him again in the future for other projects.

He did a good job. We liked them. They might have been a little expensive but they were good. They cleaned up after themselves. We will probably use them again.
