Description of Work: I hired Tracy Roberts Handyman to come out and fix some damage done to my home by another contractor who didn't complete the job and the he did do was of poor quality. Tracy Roberts came to my home accessed the damage. He fixed the damaged siding, fixed damage to corner molding, hung my screen door. The downspout on my back gutter system blew down after the rain storm this week Tracy promptly came out and fixed the problem. I wish I knew about Tracy Robert Handyman when I needed work done on my home. He was very professional and through in his work.

+ 1 moreTracy was great from the start. He was quick to set up a time to come look at the damage, he gave me a quote within 48 hours, and got to work that same week. I was not home during these repairs but my wife says they were the most professional group of contractors that she has met. They were quick, but very detailed in what they do. Billing was easy, just needed a 50% deposit down to get materials, and paid him the other 50% when the work was completed. He uses Pay pal which is great as I prefer to pay my bills online. There is nobody else I would trust with the well being of my home then Tracy Roberts and his crew. I can't thank them enough for the excellent work and customer service that they gave me.
Description of Work: I had new door trim, door casings, and a new interior door installed at two different addresses. Tracy was even kind enough to paint everything so that it all matches.

+ 5 moreAll work was done despite constant interruptions by Thunderstorms. Lattice that was used was 3/4 inch, he also put boards across the base of the lattice for stabilty. He made sure boards were placed under step landings to keep dogs or critters from getting under the deck. All debris was removed and carted away.
Description of Work: My wood deck needed to be revitalized. Crew pressure washed the deck to prepare. Lattice across the base needed to be replaced, both sets of steps needed replacement. Screen room gutter had to be cleared and opened on end to allow free flow of water. Deck and lattice were painted with a preservative cover up. Tracy pulled out a thru the wall a/c in anew enclosed patio and replaced it with a window. Crew also removed all items on the deck.

He stayed pretty close to the estimated time schedule and budget. Due to unforeseen issues and agreed upon changes, we went a little over budget and a day or two over scheduled completion date. Tracy was friendly, dedicated to ensuring the job was done correctly and very fair with pricing. It was a pleasure working with him.

+ -1 moreTracy Roberts Handyman service remodeled my master bathroom shower and completed work on Thursday, March 3rd. It is a tile shower with a frameless glass door secured by two hinges. On Monday, March 14th, I noticed the the glass door had moved in the top hinge. The glass door now scraped the tile such that it would not open properly. I emailed Tracy that night, he called me back, and he came out to my house with an employee the next day at 9:00 AM to fix it. He explained that the door had not been in the hinge tightly enough and assured me that it was now sufficiently tight so that this won't be an issue again. The shower door works again and I'm happy with the quick response.
Description of Work: Fixed the hinge for a glass shower door in the custom shower that he and his employees recently installed.

+ 1 moreThe quality of the work is great. My wood cabinet doors are from the 1960s and were dull and water-stained. Tracy and crew refinished them and now they are shiny and look a lot better. The shower also turned out excellent, but the experience was frustrating. The picture of the shower he sent to me was the one I thought I had contracted for when we went into the project. After the demolition was done, he told me he had never done a shower like that before and the picture came from the internet- it was only to show the dimensions of the shower. Once again, I am very happy with the final product, and I like it better than the picture, but after demolition is not the time to find out what the shower will look like. The other issue with the shower was the timing- it took a week longer to get started on the demolition and a week longer to have the shower done. He had issues with not enough staff, which happens, it was just hard with a toddler and travel/houseguest plans. The bottom line is I was very happy with the work, but the length of the project was frustrating. If I had known it would take so long, I would have scheduled the work for the following month. I would recommend getting more details about the scope of work and the timeline, which I did not do.

+ 4 moreThe project went exceptionally well. I am impressed by Tracy's attention to detail and professionalism. When a worker didn't properly tile the area inside the linen closet, Terry had him tear it out and do it right. The worker said "it's only the closet," but that didn't fly with Tracy. Now that area is as perfect as the rest of the work. To tell the truth, we might never have noticed that it hadn't been done properly. This a perfect example of Tracy's high standards. We are so impressed with Tracy's work, we have hired him to tackle our big master bath, which will require many square feet of tile, the installation of a new jetted tub and new toilet, and several other small fixes around the house. Tracy is a delightful man ? very easy to have around. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.
Description of Work: We hired Tracy to remodel two of our bathrooms. Tracy and his workers tore out old tile floors in both bathrooms, the area surrounding the tub/shower in one and the shower in the other. The floor in the guest bathroom had been cracked for years. To prevent that floor from cracking again, he added a sheath of material that will allow the new tiles to sort of float on its surface. He replaced the floors in both and all the other tiled areas. He also took out old toilets and installed a new ones. He helped us find a beautiful pebble tile for the shower floor.

Tracy is very thorough, has an attention to detail, and unlike many contractors, will give his opinion on best route for style, costs, and the extra steps needed that most people skip or put back on us. We are two very busy people living 8 states away. Our family has a contracting business, so our level of need and expectations was high. The job grew as we uncovered more items that were needed. Tracy and his Crew took on those items, helped the house turn out beautifully, and it was a 4 month long project that in total added to over $115,000 including the costs not paid directly to his company. Floors, walls, exterior, landscaping, doors, kitchen, new baths - all of it turned out beautifully. We would recommend them to anyone!!
Description of Work: Tracy's Handyman Services did a MAJOR renovation to a large home we have that needed everything fully looked at, estimated, repaired, and renovated. This home was a 3850 sq ft home that needed everything to prepare it for sale. Our home was outdated everywhere except for hardwood floors, cabinetry, roof and windows - *everything* else was in need of assistance. He collaborated with us for the best plans, scope, and keeping us informed throughout the entire process. We are not living in the area, so communications, records of receipts, and ability to reach each other outside of our work hours was also very key. TRUST and Quality was also very key in our decision to use Tracy's services. His company fully gutted and renovated 3 bathrooms. + 0 moreI worked with a designer to come up with a fun new surf shack room for my 2 year old son. The design included a pretty detailed reading corner featuring floor to ceiling bead board, heavy shelves, and other storage accessories. I thought this would be a DIY I could attempt on my own, but after seeing how much work actually goes into it, I'm so happy I hired a professional. My greatest concern was the very heavy shelves falling off the wall on my 2 year old. I really wanted them to be hung from studs since there is a table under the shelves that my son will be spending a lot of time reading and doing artwork in that corner. They're heavy, they'll be holding a lot of weight in books, and he's a climber! I could also imagine me tearing so many holes through the bead board looking for a stud if I attempted this project myself. The design fell short (literally) in a couple of measurements, which meant we had to improvise on the fly. Tracy had amazing ideas and was also super friendly about the changes, even though a few of the changes meant he had to make another trip to Lowes. He also went above and beyond offering to wrap the bead board in a picture frame casing and hung a surfboard from the ceiling, also from a stud, with rope and hooks. I believe my job was a bit of a challenge (incorrect measurements from the designer, crooked baseboards that didn't line up properly with the bead board, shelves that needed to be cut so they could be hung side by side, several organizers that needed to be hung around the shelves), but Tracy couldn't have been more friendly and I am beyond happy with the quality of his work. I contacted Tracy on a Tuesday, and he was available on Saturday for the job, with prompt emails between the two dates to set up the appointment. I will definitely be calling him for other jobs we have at the house.
Description of Work: Hung and painted 6' wide, floor to ceiling bead board in the corner of my son's room for a reading nook and some very heavy shelves.

Description of Work: Proposal - Upon contacting Tracy for fire restoration services, he made a site visit within a few days and provided a proposal. Tracy had changed his schedule to insure he was able to get me a proposal within the week. Tracy kept in frequent communications with me to talk through options on certain tasks where he wanted to talk with me about options and professional recommendations. The proposal detailed the priorities of the tasks, and separately costed, to allow me to work within budget constraints.

Never spoke to him again. He didn't return my follow up calls. It is obvious that the job was not big enough. He should have said so.
