+ -1 moreI am real happy with the house. I like the design of the house. I liked the way they listened to my husband and I, and built what we wanted. It's not the same thing that other people want. My favorite part of the house is that the whole back wall opens up to the lanai.

+ -1 moreTheir organization was excellent throughout, although we (and they) had some issues with two subcontractors (pool and roof). In the end, everything was completed to our satisfaction. Although this is a high-end custom builder, they had such excellent "off the shelf" models, we decided to go with one of them and modify it slightly. In the modifications, Towles was very flexible and it turned out great. In general, their subcontractors are the "best of class," and we have maintained commercial relationships with several of them for follow-on work. The most impressive aspect of this contractor is their willingness to assist the homeowner after the sale, and even after the actual warranty has expired. We really appreciated this. Also, several times over the years (since completion in 2005), we called them for a contractor reference, and they always gave us a good one. Great builder, highly ethical, and VERY customer-oriented. I would definitely use them for my next house.

+ -1 moreI inherited my parent's home which was built in 1974. My husband and I decided to have the house gutted and completely remodeled. We had a horrible experience in Montana when we built our house, so we decided to approach three different contractors before making a decision on the FL house. From the beginning we were extremely impressed with Keith Towles. He stunned and pleased us when he brought 12 subs to his second appointment with us. We ALL went through the house making sure each man understood what we wanted done. Within a week, each gave his bid to Keith. Only then did he give us the overall bid. I had heard for years about this wonderful builder: his integrity, the quality of his work, his satisfaction guarantee. We have not been disappointed. We have had a few minor adjustments since moving in (eg. a loose towel rack, a buzzing dimmer switch) and Keith had someone here to fix the problem immediately. The whole process of working with Keith, even the experience with each worker has been a pleasure and we are THRILLED with the results! Our home is new, modern and beautiful and is done with style and class! We unequivocally recommend Towles Corp whether one wishes to build a new home or remodel an exisiting one in SW Florida.
Description of Work: The house was completely gutted. The plumbing and electrical work were all redone and brought up to current codes. The walls were insulated with an R-20 open-celled Icynene 5.5" envelope. The bathrooms are now large and totally modernized: 36" tall custom cabinets with Cambria countertops, tiled glass-enclosed shower in the master bath, tile floors, Kohler ad Moen fixtures (double under-mount sinks), bidet. The guest bath also is completely tiled and has a large tub. All fixtures are again Kphler and Moen and there are double, under-mount sinks and Cambria countertops on the custom cabinets. The laundry room has been moved in the house from the garage. The entire air conditioning system (to include duct work) was replaced by a 16 SEER RUUD unit. The system was also expanded to the Florida room which was previously NOT under air. The two large bedrooms are carpeted with Karastan Speranza premium quality carpet. The kitchen, living and dining room areas and the Florida room are all tiled (all floor tiles are 18" porcelain squares). The kitchen which was formerly a galley-type now opens up into the large living room, dining room with the removal of two tall and countertops are covered with Cambria. The backsplash is made up of tumbled marble squares and there is under-cabinet lighting. All of the lightning and fans are new and builder installed, as are the stainless steel appliances. The builder coordinated the delivery of all of the appliances, etc. With an eye toward possibly growing old in this house, all door openings are now 36" wide. There are many other details such as textured walls and ceilings and others too numerous to mention and which I don't quite know how to describe to you.

+ -1 moreExcellent work. Supervision was generally excellent, and if mistakes were made by subcontractors, they were corrected. Very honest and straight-forward in dealings with us. Also very timely in completing the construction. We would not use any other contractor in this area.
