Description of Work: A septic tank pump out

Description of Work: I work, I am not retired. Charlotte County Florida has a regulation that the Septic Tank must be PUMPTED OUT every five years-even if it does not need this to be done. I received a mailed notice from Charlotte County Health requiring me to buy a permit from the County and also requiring me to pay a liscensed Contractor to pump out the Septic Tank. That same week, I received a letter from 'Port Charlotte Septic, Inc' signed by 'Terry Norton' soliciting this particular service. I called their phone number (941-639-5055) to arrainge a day and time. A lady calling herself 'Jan' told me when they could come to the home. The time she suggested was 9:00 AM I don't care which which day of the week but because I work, the mornings are impossible for me to be away from my office. Reluctlantly, she set a time of 11:30 or 12:00 for a day the following week. I provided my cell phone number asking only that they call me 30 minutes prior so that I could close my office and drive to the home. She later called me three different times to change days or times. I'm OK with that. The last call from her offered Fri 02/01/2013 @ 11:30. That would be fine. Now, Friday @ 9:30 AM I receive a call from the Driver/Worker stating that he is "very near the house-COULD YOU COME OVER NOW". I said I would and did. When I arrived, a younger worker was already digging up the yard to get to the Septic Tank. I approached the older man that was doing nothing and asked who had just called me. He admitted that it was him. I complained that they had renigged on their promised time of 11:30 and because of his telephone call preassuring me to come right away, I had to cancel my clients appointment in my business. I SUPPOSE THAT HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES NEEDS BECAUSE HE BECAME BELLIGERENT AND CALLED ME "AN A******" AND THREATED TO ASSULT ME. I asked if he would hurry the job and because he was so mad he insulted me again and left without performing the service. When I returned to me office, I called the business number but the lady that I had been speaking with on the previous calls was very abusive and ultimately said that I should "GO F... MYSELF". I will have to get this required work performed by a different Septic Tank Contractor.(I believe that the 'Septic Tank Contractors' have lobbied the local Government to force Property Owners to pay them for these services-BUT THE REGULATIONS DON'T INSIST THAT THE WORK ALWAYS BE DONE VERY EARLY IN THE DAY SO THAT THESE PEOPLE CAN HAVE THE AFTERNOONS OFF). I CAUTION ANYONE TO BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH 'PORT CHARLOTTE SEPTIC TANK, INC."
