Description of Work: I have used Mr. Appliance several times and have always been impressed with their professionalism and ability to fix the problem. I noticed this time that the basic rate to show up has gone up from $69 to $79 and Bob my service worker was over two hours later than the time line given. I understand the problems but I think the minimum the office could do is update the customers when the tech is running late - for whatever reason. In my case my dishwasher was not starting and I was hoping for the given 8 - noon arrival so that I could go shopping if the new was bad. Obviously, on New Years Eve I wasn't going shopping at 4:30. I completely understand why he was late but I think I could have been keep in the loop as to what was happening and what to expect.

Description of Work: Purchased a new refrigerator from them. It was installed by a third party contractor who also cleaned my dryer vent while here for a cost of $100.00, which is more expensive than the competition.

Description of Work: Technician miss-diagnosed problem with refrigerator. Said that it needed a new circuit board. Came back next day and installed the board...didn't work. Then told us that the compressor had to be replaced. Cost = $800.00. We decided to purchase a new refrigerator. Company refunded the service call price ($79.00) Overall we found that the company was reputable and that the technician made an honest mistake.

Description of Work: They repaired my eleven year old twenty-eight cubic foot refrigerator. They were sent here by my insurance company and I only pay for a fraction of the cost. The technician was very nice and good. He was able to complete the repair right after diagnosing the issue. He replaced a switch near the compressor. It has been working fine since. Everything was fine overall.

Description of Work: I hired him to repair a gasket on my front loading washer. He did a nice job and was very reasonable in price. I had called another place that was recommended by the dealer who sold us the appliances and they were much higher in cost. When he came, he did bring a assisting out who he was training. He was through with the work. It was a real great experience!

Description of Work: Replaced hinges on wall oven twice. First time they broke again with in weeks of the first repair when we called them back. They implied our dog had jumps on to the open door and sprung the hinges. Remember it's a wall oven and we have a very fat Labrador . The date above is not correct it was back in aprox 2008

Description of Work: They said we need a certain part for the washer and it was going to cost 380.00 for the part and then there was service call. My husband check on the internet and the part was only $60.00. So we went there and cancelled the whole repair and parts and wanted our money back. Which they finally did reluctantly. We also had our dishwasher serviced through Mr. Appliance which was done first and I am sure we were over charged for that also. We will never use them and since we work in Real Estate would not recommend Mr. Appliance to our customers or friends. There are way to many good ones out there that are fair in there prices and Mr. Appliance certainly not one of them. |

Description of Work: Our fridge quit cooling - Sears could not come out for 10 days. Called Mr. Appliance and they came out the same afternoon. Employee worked on the fridge and got it working, cleaned out filters etc. About 2 wks later the freezer quit working. Called MA and they were here the next morning. PPerson spent time going through the freezer and working out the problem. Much to my suprise, I was not charged for the 2nd visit. It was not covered under any warranty, but since I had not been advised of a few things on the first visit, charges were waived. I will not hesitate to call Mr. Appliance in the future. I learned a lot about my fridge during the 2nd visit. I would also like to add that both representatives were very professional in their demeanor and appearance.
