Mr. Andrioli arrived when scheduled and power washed my house. He painstakingly patched all the cracks in the stucco. The following week he painted the entire exterior, caulked around all the windows, and painted the garage door. He was neat and did a fantastic job. He had painted the exterior of my neighbor's house two years ago, and seeing the way he worked and hearing how pleased my neighbor was, I hired him to do our house when the time came. Mr. Andrioli may be only working part-time in the future, as he is planning on retiring. I had not planned to write a review because of this; but I came across a previous review while searching for a different provider on Angie's List. I could not believe the things I read in this review. My experience was the complete opposite. It is almost as if we were talking about two different people. It was because of reading the bad review that I decided to share my very different experience with this provider.
Description of Work: Power washed and painted the exterior of my house.

John Androeli came out and to do some painting and was talking about how great of a painter that he is. I asked him if he would be doing the painting himself and he yes, I don't trust anyone else to it. He told me that it would take about 2 weeks. He then proceded to ask me if he could have my refrigerator. He went in my bathroom and tried to take out a new towl rack trying to get me to purchase all new items around my home. Then I came home a couple days later and all of my furniture was covered, so I asked him why and he said he wanted to surprise me and painted the ceiling for me. He said it would cost me $1,000. He said he would be the only one working in the house and I came over and there were multiple men in my house and he informed me that they were his subcontractors. He said that it would be nice if I could give him some money now so he could pay his subcontractors. Then he went up to my sink and said this is a newer sink but you could use a brand new one im thinking about ripping this out. I told him I was the owner of the home and that he does not need ask me about taking out anything else in my home, he responded by telling me that he had already taken the mirrors out as well as the toilets and sinks. He also proceded to rip out all of the shelving and said he ordered some new shelves and they were on there way. He left the home a nasty mess I asked him if he was going to clean the house and he said that I always clean up after myself. I am still scraping caulk off of the bath tub. One of the workers was playing rap music and I said I don't appreciate that type of music in my house and he ignored me and continued to play the music. He was a very unprofessional and nasty person. He had gotten paint on all of the outlets and I asked him since he took everything else out of the house if he was going to replace those and he responded by saying yes for $5 a peice. He went to get a door from Home Depot and I requested that he get one with a doggie door, he ordered the door and said he would let me know when they come in. When they came in he said he would put them in for me and I asked him how much he would charge me to put the doors in, he said he would charge $250 a peice. I told him I would find someone else, when I found someone else they told me that they couldn't put the door in because John had measured the doors wrong. Also the doggie door was way to big compared to the one that I had asked for. I have had multiple people come to my house and ask we who painted my house because they did a terrible job, so I clearly was not the only person who could notice this. You would think that someone who talks about how great of a painter he is would notice that the quality of the work was terrible.
Description of Work: He was supposed to come out and paint the entire interior my house.
