Active Door & Window - Punta Gorda

Wanted prices of service calls and how long would it be before any Service person, note that word, "SERVICE", WOULD BE ABLE TO COME BY AND DO AN ESTIMATE? One(1) good key point is they did tell me that ESTIMATES WERE FREE OR NO CHARGE. However any service person should be aware that without any customers they would be twiddling their thumbs right before they went out of business or had to declare BANKRUPTCY. Any company that does not respect that term “THE CUSTOMER” is an IDIOT or has IDIOTS for employees.

We selected Active Door & Window based on a recommendation from a very satisfied neighbor. We found the price to be competitive and the workmanship superior. It was amazing how clean our condo was after the window installation. You could not tell we had any construction done. We did have a couple issues that needed to be addressed following the installation and their prompt attention to our needs was commendable. They are very customer service oriented. We recommended them to another of our neighbors and they too remain extremely satisfied.

Trying to get these people to come in for a final measurement for a WHOLE HOUSE window and door replacement is like pulling teeth! I guess they don't want the business. So rude and uncooperative. Do not expect them to keep their appointments. Do not expect them to keep their appointments. Do not expect them to call you back. And for God's sakes, get somebody else to do your windows and doors! After everything we went through, we canceled everything. You just lost yourselves a $20k job. Well done.

Called them late Tuesday afternoon and left a voice mail message to have the service department call me about repairs to my garage door opener which was installed by Active. Never got a return phone call.

all went well except for the side garage door, they sent out wrong size but came out later with right size

Installed on the date they and I had agreed on. Done in about 4 hours and the work was excellent and the screen works excellent. I had several quotes. They had the best price and best variety of screen colors.

Installation of the decorative glass panel into my existing front door took about 45 minutes and looked very nice. A little paint on my part and the front door now looks brand new and really brightens up my entryway. The side light panel required some customization to fit properly but that was brought to my attention by the salesman in advance, so no surprises there. The worker did a great job fitting the side light glass panel which looks great. It took a few hours so I know it was a challenge. But the work he did was top notch and it came out looking great. The replacement of my front screen door was pretty straight forward and I was happy with the detail the installer provided in squaring up the door etc! The prices were right in line with other estimates that I received but I wanted to go with someone local to my area. I have no regrets with my choice here and would recommend to others.

I previously had a very bad experience with another company where they took my money and went bankrupt. Active Door & Window really went out of their way to ensure to make me confident that once the work was contracted and ordered, that I wouldn’t have to worry about the work being delivered. After ordering the windows, they arrived within about six weeks. They completed the installation all in one day. They cleaned up well after completion. Everything came out very good.

They came out to measure and explained my options. They explained the schedule and were on time and friendly, courteous, and professional.

Moved into home during torrential rains. Found water flooding office from pool deck. Called this company and they arrived next day to complete job. Very nice, professional men. Door slides much smoother and with less force.

We contacted Active just before we left last year , so work was done after we'd gone. They kept us updated on their progress and now, after seeing their work, we are very pleased. --Excellent company to work with !
