Paul Halverson was at my home early in the morning the day after I contacted the company for an estimate. The estimate was later sent by email (the next morning). The estimated cost was very reasonable. When I called to say I wanted them to do the job, Paul contacted me the next morning (on a Friday) and he was at my home and began work the following Monday morning. He was very careful and precise in everything he did (even able to remove my marble countertop and backsplash on the vanity without breakage). Everything was completed in 4 days. He was pleasant and professional. I'm very pleased with the work, and would definitely call again in the future for any work I needed.

Jeff handled the issues, including the back splash. He was very timely, organized, and professional. The back splash was the major item and it turned out exceptionally well done. Jeff's objective is to do an exceptional job ... mission accomplished..

I had an acrylic sink that was awful. It was scratched and chipped. The problem with replacing it was that I have a granite counter and a scroll-like cut out on the upper left side. The sink is no longer made. I could not replace it even if I wanted to. Since I didn't want to get a new counter, I came-up with the idea of having a custom copper sink made. Paul came over and gave me an estimate. When the new sink finally arrived, he and his partner and three granite installers came over. They removed the old sink and faucet and installed the new sink and faucets. I had ordered a replacement for the faucet and a separate under counter water filter. (The new fixture is a pull-out so I had an extra hole that needed to be filled.) I would definitely recommend Paul and will contact him again when a need arises.

It went great. These guys do everything right - they are truly versatile as they can do many things. We have used them before for various work from big to small jobs. The biggest was renovating our bathroom and they did a terrific job. The recent job was at a rental property and our tenant called to say how wonderful the guys were and that they were polite, professional and she appreciated that they cleaned up after themselves, and they loved the new fans. She and her husband are elderly with some health issues and the guys who did the job were sensitive to that. We would trust them to do any job and have referred them to our neighbors who have also been very pleased.

Paul was the nicest person I have met in a long time. He knew exactly what I wanted done to renovate my guest bedroom from painting to new ceiling fans and to hanging a tv on the wall amongst many other things that were needed to get this guest bedroom looking like it was in the 21st century. I am pleased with Paul and his work ethics. I plan on hiring him again for new projects and recommending him to all my friends too. Thanks Paul!

Our first contact with Versatile Improvement and Remodeling, Inc. came on May 29, 2014 when my Husband called them and spoke with owner, Paul Verga, regarding the ceiling in our screened-in porch. (The paint was flaking off in long strips where the drywall panels abutted each other.) Paul said he would have one of his men, Norm Viale, call us to set up an appointment for him to come out and give us an estimate of the repair costs. Norm called later that same day and made an appointment to come out the next afternoon, May 30th.. Norm arrived at the agreed upon time. We discussed possible repair options and decided to install a new ceiling to cover over the old ceiling. Norm explained that attempting to repair the original drywall ceiling would cost more - and it probably would not look as well - as a new ceiling. We thought the price was fair and he had given us a 20% discount for my Husband being a Veteran. (They also offer a 10% discount for Seniors.) This price was less than half the amount quoted by another company when they came out and suggested the same work that Norm had recommended. We decided to use vinyl panels to cover over the old ceiling, opting for the wood-grained design which cost an extra $250.00. These wood-grained vinyl panels are beautiful and well-worth the additional $250. which brought the total repair bill to $1,400. Norm had several different color samples to choose from. We were pleasantly surprised when he said he could do the work the following week and it would take only 1 or 1 1/2 days to finish the job. He measured every panel meticulously, especially around some irregular angles in the ceiling. Every joint is perfect. He carefully moved all the porch furniture back and forth so that he had easy access to all sections of the ceiling. When he was finished, he cleaned the floor and put the furniture back in place. And he finished the job, working by himself, in 1 and 1/2 days!

Paul and Rick were so great on our bathroom remodel that we hired them to do our kitchen. Their pricing is reasonable and their work is top quality. They are honest and dependable and are the first people we will call for any work needed in the future. Our kitchen is beautiful. They worked really hard and got it done quickly. They are prompt, professional and really know what they are doing. They gave us a lot of options to pick from and were great at helping us make the best choices. I cannot say enough good about this company. Since we've been working with Rick & Paul, we are fully comfortable having them come in if we can't be there and to lock up when they leave. They are by far the best and our favorite home improvement company! I only hope they are always lucky enough to get as good of clients as they are contractors!! You will not be disappointed with their work.

hereThe job they did was excellent. I got their name from Angie's List. They lived up to the reference. Rick came out very professional gave his estimate.. They helped us pick out the cabinet .Gave good advice for the different tile we wanted.Explain to us where to check for the light fixtures.I forgot to mention the brought in samples of the cabinets and granite..When they said they would start at 7:00 AM they were here. Both PAUL AND RICK when we had questions they took the time to explain everything. We are snow birds and had to be back to MIchigan. They were able to work us in before we left. Very CUSTOMER FRIENDLY. I would recommend them to anyone. We how have a beautiful bathroom. Hope to get the kitchen done next year

Mike & Lane are very meticulous, hard workers. They communicated with us very well, came when expected & didn't waste a lot of time. They were friendly & when anything came up, they asked before proceeding. They cleaned up on a daily basis & when the work was complete. They put the stones & dirt they had moved back around the house. Their landscaping looked better than before they began! We were extremely happy with their work, work ethic & business savvy. We learned that the company name 'VERSATILE' indicates lots of other work besides painting. We have several other projects we discussed with them and may be doing more business with them in the near future. If I were starting a business, I'd try to 'steal' Mike & Lane to work for me! I look forward to doing business with them again. Highly recommended!! AAAAA+++++!

Owners, Paul and Rick, arrived on time and promptly began demolition of shower walls. By the end of the first day, the vanity, wallpaper and toilet were removed and new shower valve and greenboard installed in shower. While tearing out the shower floor, Rick noted that the drain pipe had previously been incorrectly installed and cracked and the ground around it was only water saturated dirt. The drain pipe was replaced and properly installed, a rubber membrane was added under a new shower pan. Tile work began on day 2 as well as prepping the walls for painting. Day 3 tile was grouted, new water shutoffs, vanity, light fixture, exhaust fan and toilet were installed, and walls, ceiling and trim were painted. The shower doors were installed on the last day. At the completion of each day 's work, Paul and Rick took the time to clean up their work area as well as the surrounding areas. They were very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. They did not waste time and took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a job done right the first time.

We were fortunate to have Norm from this company complete the work. He was willing to work with our timeline in scheduling the estimate and the work. Norm arrived on time for both the estimate and the repair job. The work was completed faster than he had estimated and was done right!!

I called Versatile on 04/02/14 in my third attempt to get a contractor to give me an estimate for replacing double-windows with sliding glass doors. Kelley Bros. and Z Group never returned my call. Norman from Versatile did return my call, however he did not want to come out to the house, he had ME measure the opening and said he would price doors and get back to me. As of today (04/08/14) I have not heard back. In my opinion this was very very unprofessional! I am new to Angie's list and seriously wondering how these business are getting "A" ratings!

Paul and Rick were very professional and handled all the repairs to my satisfaction. I will definitely call them when I need their help and guidance. Thank you both !

Norm Viale gave me an estimate for both jobs and we agreed on the days that he was going to be working. Thought he would be here 3 to 4 days but thank goodness only took him two days, to fix both problems. Completely removed all of the old popcorn ceiling, patched where it need to be patched and put two coats on the ceiling. Was not sure how under the sink was going to turn out, but looks GREAT !

The price was pretty high, but, had good quality cabinets to offer. We also had a ceramic tile floor that needed to be fixed/replaced and he said that he would also quote us on that too. After he called with price, he never offered a price on the floor, so, I assume that because we didn't call him back regarding his kitchen wood cabinets that he "threw in the towel" on our project. Unfortunate as I think that he probably does quality work.

Never showed up or called back.

Job went great, am very pleased and I will use Versatile Improvement again. Great Job. I will call this company again, am very impressed with their honesty, promptness and professional work.

This contractor was prompt in responding and getting an estimate to me. He was very knowledgeable about remodels and the products he would be using. He was clean, fussy about his work and showed up everyday. His estimate was in the ballpark with the two other contractors I interviewed.

Assembled home office furniture. It was a complicated job but Paul handled it amazingly well. Every piece was assembled perfectly.

This is the first of several home improvement projects I have planned. Mike Bell came to meet with me about 10 days prior so we could go over all the projects and he then provided bids. The living room repair project was #1 on my list. He was the first to respond with what I felt was a competitive bid, and he was able to begin work within a week of submitting his quotation. Mike is very knowledgeable in his work, as well as being thorough, meticulous in the small details, and professional. The mirror removal was handled by a sub-contractor Mike hired, and they came in and did their work within an hour. From there, Mike did his thing and the project moved forward to completion within 2 days. The final product is excellent - I now have an almost new living room ready to receive new furnishings. Mike gave me details on some of the specific materials needed (including the type of paint he recommended) and once all was ready, he worked steadily to completion. At no time did I ever feel that the job was too big or complex for him. Mike certainly knows his way around home improvements. I intend to include him in my future projects, and I highly recommend him to Angie's members in the Port Saint Lucie / Martin County areas.

It went better than we ever expected. They were always punctual. If they said they would be here, they were. They gave us a complete estimate and then worked with us to modify it for the work we wanted to do ourselves. They started work on time and completed the job in 4 days! Before the work started, they went with us to the home improvement store and helped us pick out the tile, counter top, and cabinet. Their artistic skills at color matching and coordination resulted in a beautiful bathroom. One problem came up when they were doing the floor tile. One of the boxes of tile was incorrect. It had the right tile on top, but the remainder was wrong. We could have gone back to the store, but they insisted they take it back and got the correct material. They even got us a store credit for the extra! We had to go away for one day. We had said we would do the plumbing and painting, but could not do our part when we left. When we came back, they had done part of the painting and plumbing! They didn't have to do that. The job would have gone OK without that effort, but it made our part easier and they would not take extra pay for it. They kept the job site extra clean and fully removed all debris. They were very professional and we would use them again in a heartbeat!

We wanted to add crown moldings to our existing kitchen cabinets. Paul and Rick came out and measured and e-mailed a quote later that same day. Paul came by the next day to show me a sample of the molding and take a door to match the color. The moldings were installed the following Monday and look wonderful. Excellent workmanship and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work at a reasonable price.

We went to Versatile Improvements & Remodeling Inc to get some small work done in our bathroom shower. They replied extremely promptly and referred us to another local company who could perform the work for us. The company we were referred to have been thoroughly accommodating. Versatile Improvements are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We will be giving them further work in future.

He did have a very hard time removing the old faucet but eventually was successful and installed the new one. Did a very good job. Just had an issue with scheduling a time for him to come. We had made an appt.,on saturday morning due to my working schedule. He called Friday and asked if he could come that day in the late afternoon which was fine and he looked at the setup and told me I had to exchange the faucet I had purchased. I said I would do that and he explained what I needed. When he was ready to leave I questioned him about the appt we had set up for the next morning and he stated that he would not keep that appt and I would have to reschedule. I had already waited about a week for the first appt. and my faucet was not hardly working and leaking as well and needed to be replaced NOW. He eventually agreed to keep the Saturday appt. and did a very good job. I got the impression he overbooked himself and during the time he was here made several remarks about that. If I hadn't insisted that he keep the original appt. he would have put me off till later in the week.

Norm was the man that did the work for us. He was professional, honest and did a wonderful job. He came when he said he would and cleaned up after himself and gave us an estimate that was what we paid. He was friendly and overall it was a pleasure to do business with him and this company. Would highly recommend them and am so glad we have found Norm and versatile improvements. Will keep his card handy for any future jobs we have. Thank you !
