RUN! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company I found them to be one of the most corrupt companies I've ever dealt with from the beginning . Their up front sales rep , Justin [Last Name Redacted] , lied continuously to us in that our deposit would be returned if we could not go forward. Our fault for not reading the fine print where it said it's non refundable! I looked into what a permit cost and it is averaged at $350.00 and I had to go get it! Since it is not refundable , I asked to see the expenditures for the remaining money with the answer "We don't have to show you anything " comment from the brother in law Bill!. I called their sales rep Justin with no answer many times....What a coincidence ? I was also told by Bill , the brother in law , that they do refund deposits but they met as a family and denied mine... If there were a negative star , I'd give them a -10 Again , RUN!!!

In 2001 I had Pools by Greg construct my first pool. Their service back then was awesome. After selling my home I moved into a new house. After several years we decided to have a pool constructed in 2020-2021. With due diligence I had several quotes from other local establishments, which included Greg. We wound up going with Greg. Joanna, our sales rep was awesome. Her candor was extremely appreciated. From receptionist up to ownership they have been responsive to us - the design was exactly what we wanted. They subcontracted The Porch Factory to complete the enclosure and watched over their progression. Jason has been the on-site manager for Greg and quite frankly, I couldn’t ask for a better person to act as a liason. The working staff has been professional as the craftsmanship is impeccable. The job is nearing completion and I can’t really say anything less about my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Pools By Greg, unabashedly. CB.

To Whom it may concern: We had a pool installed which we thought we would be able to use for the next 20 years. After the permit was granted it took over 30 days before anyone showed up to start the project. After they showed up it was another 3-weeks before anyone showed up again. When they did show up they left their cigarette butts and empty water bottles all across the lawn, etc. trash in the backyard which we had to pick up. We left a trash bag tied to the fence, which they never used. On a Saturday which they showed up on very seldom, they used the backyard as a urinal instead of going into 1 of the empty lots that are adjacent or across the street from us or asking if they could use our bathroom. After that the form was poured and then we would see them every 3 or 4 days. There was always trash inside of the pool liner that they said they would clean up, which they never did. It rained multiple times, to which mosquito’s and larva was in the pool, which hatched. The backyard was swarming with the mosquitos. Shortly after that I found over 500 pounds of cement buried under the sand in the corner of my fence. They denied that it was theirs and that it was probably from the people who built our house. After that they took away the sand fill from the pool hole. We asked them to leave it, so we could use it for yard purposes. They indicated that after the pool was completed they would give us a load of good dirt just for that purpose. I have called multiple times to have some delivered, which was promised on the contract signing. Also, the sod replacement was not complete, due to the complete trash removal was not done. The pool looked great for two months. On one of the service tech’s visits, Scott told me that they don’t program the variable pump. It took 30 days to receive the owner manuals on our equipment. The sales lady told us that, that was part of our package. Then we started having water loss. We called in weekly and no response. They sent a tech out multiple times and he found no problems. After complaining multiple times, for six months, the receptionist that took our calls informed us that we would have to pay to have a leak repair, because the tech said that there was no problem. We have proof by way of our water bills which have increased since last year. It is not recommended that we allow the water level to drop below the skimmer line, so we fill it. As we have talked over the phone, it was implied that the leak was our fault. Their company hired a pool leak detection company to come out to our house and do testing. They found an easy, common leak that any pool professional would find, and it taken six months without conclusion. We had glass tile installed with the package. It has separated and glass pieces have fragmented into the pool and I have damaged my fingers by inspecting the area’s that were an unusual coloration. I have never seen glass separate like that. Every time someone has come to our house we have never received any paperwork or documentation regarding any service visits or instructions regarding the equipment. Every time that I call, the receptionist tells me that she will let the owner know. I have finally spoken with the owner after these six months, on the phone and he said that he was going to come to our house and inspect the pool. He never showed up or left a message. BUYERS BEWARE – THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY

iWe started looking at pool construction companies in March 2013, and talked to 6 of them, with several doing designs that did not quite meet our needs. We eventually went to Pools by Greg(PbG) on the recommendation of a landscaper we trusted. PbG sent out a designer (Bob W) to assess our situation, and he determined that he needed to have his construction manager (Darryl) come out to consider our slope. Darryl measured the land where we wanted the pool and realized that we would have to either move a lot of dirt or revise the design to fit into the existing terrain. Bob did a great job in making the pool design fit into the terrain, and as a result we have a pool/spa whose design is really great. The construction people we dealt with were almost all professional and easy to work with. The quality of the work was mostly excellent,. After one year we now have two hariline cracks in the poured deck, which are not covered, according to the contract. I do not intend to make an issue of them, because they are hard to see, and it is likely that any repairs will just make them visually worse. When we repaint the deck, in a few years, the cracks will disappear. Our complaints are (1) several times we went for weeks with no activity going on, and no word from the company about what was holding things up. There was some talk about weather, and we got the impression that they had a LOT of pools under construction at the same time, so it took a bit longer than we had anticipated. There was never any question about whether it would happen - just when. The delays were not professional. (2) I am finishing up this review one year after the work was completed, and we still have problems with the finish on the pool. When it was delivered and filled there were/are large streaks of white in the dark surface in the pool and the spa. You can actually see a footprint in one spot. We have called the chemistry guy (Joel) who did the commissioning, and he says that we (!) need to adjust the chemistry better and do more brushing of the pool surface. I have a degree in Chemical Engineering and have keep the chemistry in spec, but I do not believe that I should be fixing this delivery issue. I would not accept it if a car dealer told me that I had to buff out the finish on a $50K car. But PbG thinks this is normal, and my responsibility. It is because of this, that I am downgrading them. (3) the Pentair controls for the pool are flukey, and we have had to have them replaced, twice. Pentair was very good about it, but I have still not figured out how to get the heater to come on automatically with the spa function. The Pentair documentation is horrible. And PbG does not do service-after-sales; Pentair is responsible for all of that. We consider the price we paid for the pool to be very fair. It was competitive with other proposals for about the same level of work, and we think we got very good design and construction for the money. I would not use them again. The designer was great, the price was good, but the scheduling was terrible, and the pool still looks like h***, one year (and a lot of chemicals and brushing) later. This is our first pool, and we hope our last one.

Pool took longer than expected due to the large amount of rain we received this summer but was well worth the wait! Pool looks great! The staff was very professional and curteous from beginning to end. Quality of work was very good and the supervisor Daryl was readily available to answer any questions we had and he kept us informed on the progress of our pool. He is invaluable to the company and I hope he gets compensated well for his hard work! Joel gives you all the information you need once the pool is finished on maintaining the pool and pool equipment. Very happy with the company and have recommended them to numerous other people already!

We signed our contract 5/1/14, digging began 6/23/14 as of 10/23/14 work is still not completed. The work that has been done is great but their communications, doing what they said when they said they would do it and completing the job has been far from satisfactory!! They failed the Engineering Inspection on 9/24/14 and a month later haven't completed the work or rescheduled the inspection. We have paid the full amount due but after six months we're still waiting for them to finish the job. We wouldn't hire them again or refer them to anyone. They've given us many dates they' would be here to work & then just don't show up. Very disappointing and frustrating.

They were great to work with. They were very informative and let us know what they were doing every step of the way. The crew was about 3-4 people depending on what step they were working on. Due to weather issues it took about two months to complete the work.

The dislike was the communication and when there were things to be finished at the end of the bill, they didn't finish everything. When they would send someone out to do something, they wouldn't let me know if they were here or not. Recently, I called them for a problem in the pool as we were losing water in the pool and they took about 4 or 5 days to come. The work itself was good and they were pretty much on time, but there were things which they promised but didn't do it. I may not use them again in the future.

It turned out very well. They did a good job considering it was raining during the process, they never stopped working.
