Great. Jim was wonderful. He first cleaned the internal dryer filter then went on roof to test airflow and inspect vent for debris. No debris found and air test showed dryer vent was clear and operating at 2489 FPM, far above the minimum required. He did not charge me as he had nothing to clean.

Highly recommend Jim @ Dryer Vent Specialist. Great work at a great price. He demonstrated the proper annual cleaning of the lint filter and showed me the readings of the increased air flow after the dryer vent was cleaned. He offered a one year warranty but I highly doubt that it will be needed. Thanks Jim!

I did have somebody come in from Dryer Vent Specialist and he was really good though he was very messy. I was actually very surprised because I have a very weird system. I guess he had more special tools than other people. I'd use them again but I'd have to give the caveat, hey we need to make sure we clean up the mess and not leave the neighbors all dirty.

Awesome! The vent was clogged big time -- Jim went up on the roof, and used his equipment to clear it out. Very reasonable price, and the dryer has worked perfectly ever since. We couldn't be happier, I would highly recommend Jim and his company.

Great...I cleared the area and removed obstructions so when he got here there would be nothing in his way since we are just moved in a few days ago. He also helped move a shelf back that I moved to clear the area.

I had a very good experience with them. He came on a Sunday. He didn't charge me anything because he came out and he said it was clean as a whistle. He refused to charge me even for the service call. He was very honest, he came out very promptly. Even though he refused to take any money, he said he would still give me the 90-day guarantee and he would come back out if it got clogged. He was very excellent to deal with. What stood out the most was his honesty.

We would definitely use "Dryer vent Specialist" again. Jim takes his work very seriously (which is important, as dryer fires are the cause of many house fires...we were very lucky that our past dryer fire was limited to a melted circuit board, and a dryer that would not dry). While the company we had had clean the dryer vent a couple of years ago was only at our home for about 15 minutes, Jim was here well over an hour. Our dryer vent is on the roof, and he used a ladder and got up on the roof, and with a special vacuuming unit spent at least 45 minutes carefully vacuuming out the dryer vent pipe. He explained that he uses this special vacuum unit so as to preserve the inner lining of the foil dryer vent pipe, which can be damaged by the brushes used by other dryer vent cleaning companies. He also used a special gauge to obtain readings as to the flow through of air, which was minimal before he started the vacuuming of the vent line. We did not recall the prior dryer vent cleaning company having used a vacuuming unit, or using any gauges to obtain air flow readings. He showed us a large, harden block of lint that he had removed from the vent line. It was obvious to us that the previous dryer vent cleaning company we had had clean our dryer vent line had not done a thorough job of doing so, which was why the "Check Vent" light had kept coming on on our new dryer. Jim also explained that it is important, especially if you have pets (which we do) or use dryer sheets (which we don't), to use dish washing soap and gently, using your hands, wash the dryer vent screen every couple of months, as the oils from the pet hair, and the chemicals on the dryer sheets, cause the holes in the dryer vent screen to become blocked up. He took our dryer vent screen, which looked completely clear, over to our kitchen sink and ran a little water on it, and we were shocked to see the water pool up and not flow through the screen. He then took some of our dish washing liquid, and demonstrated how to clean the dryer vent screen gently rubbing soap over the screen with your hands, and then rinsing it thoroughly, and drying it off before putting it back in the dryer. From now on, as Jim suggested, we will be cleaning our dryer vent screen in this fashion every couple of months. in the future, we will definitely use only Jim/"Dryer Vent Specialist" to conduct a thorough cleaning of our dryer vent line, and would happily recommend him to others. He is not only knowledgeable, but also dedicated and courteous to his customers, We feel much more at ease knowing that, this time, unlike the last time when our dryer vent line was cleaned by a different company, that our dryer vent line is completely clean and for the continued "safe" use of our dryer.

Jim was excellent! He was courteous when I called to make appointment and was able to get to us same day since we were not able to use dryer. He let us know what we needed to do for the issue/ clog, and took care of it promptly! Would definitely use again in the future and recommend to anyone needing this service or for regular maintenance.

My dryer wasn't drying efficiently, taking two hours or more to dry one load of towels. A friend had mentioned that cleaning the dryer vent was the answer. So at 4:50 on a Saturday afternoon, I called DVS to see if I could get an appointment for Monday since I had already taken time off from work for that day. Jim Adams, the owner, answered the called and said he could work me in for first thing Monday morning. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He first looked at the back of the dryer and saw that it wasn't connected properly to the outside vent; he cleaned what he could from that angle and made the correct connection. He then examined the interior vent of the dryer, cleaning and testing for fabric softener build-up. After all of that, he went to the roof where he removed a very large piece of petrified lint and then thoroughly cleaned the vent. When he started, there was no air flow from the vent, but there was plenty when the cleaning was completed. From start to finish, the job probably took an hour. Jim was very personable and very accommodating to my schedule. I will definitely use DVS when my vent needs to be cleaned again.

Jim, the owner, came within 45 minutes of calling. The vent was clogged from top to bottom. He removed the vent pipe from the dryer to the outside vent and replaced it at no additional cost. He showed me pictures of the vent on the roof. The vent pipe from the dryer was at least 75 percent clogged. He vacuumed the inside of the dryer and washed the lint screen. Without asking, he took the bottom off the refrigerator and vacuumed the coil. We have dogs and the majority of the clog involved dog hair. He recommended cleaning every three years. I was highly impressed by him and would recommend him to everyone. He was fast and efficient. Can't say enough good things about him.

One call brought Jim Adams within 1/2 hour - he happened to be completing a job in the neighborhood (perfect timing!) and came right over. Dryer had taken 2+ cycles to do a load of wash - a sure sign that either the vent is clogged or thermometer needs replacing. I opted to check out the vent first and am very glad I did. He showed me the reading before and after his work and it made a huge difference. He came prepared, with the right equipment to clean out the vent from both ends, which included climbing to the roof of my 2 story building. I highly recommend DVS and will have him back whenever needed. At no extra cost, he checked the heat temp, since he also does dryer repair, (for a flat rate plus parts). Should I ever need that service, I'm glad to have found him.

After the rained stopped, Phil climbed up on the roof and performed the cleaning operation on the dryer vent. He gave us a reading on the vent before the cleaning and after. We recently purchased this house with the dryer and wanted to be sure the vent was clean.

The "Vent Sensor" light on our new Dryer kept flashing and after consulting with the manufacturer they suggested we have the vent pipe cleaned. Phil arrived on schedule the next day after we called. He ran a couple tests and then cleaned out the dryer vent pipe and freed up the exhaust flap which was stuck. After finishing he shared the before and after test results which showed a big improvement in air flow. Phil was not only prompt and efficient but very friendly and energetic. I would definitely use them again.

Phil arrived early, and it took him about 15 minutes to clean the vent. He is very professional and does what he has to and moves on. My dryer now dries my clothes in 20 minutes instead of an hour. I'm sure I'll save a lot on electric. I would definitely use him again and will recommend him to others. Great Job

Jim arrived on time as scheduled and proceeded to do the cleaning of the vents. He cleaned inside including the filter basket which was clogged. Then he went on the roof and cleaned the rest of the vents. After he was finished, he explained what he had done and what we should do to keep the vents clean. When I asked him how often we should have this done, his answer surprised me. Instead of telling me to call him every year like the other service I used at my last home, he said every 3 years would be sufficient. It's nice to see someone who is not after making as much as he can, but doing what is best for the customer. I highly recommend him.
