Brad repaired my roof last July. I paid $1500.00 for him to replace 9 shingles and repair the vent pipe and replace flashing and shingles around the vent. He only replaced the 9 shingles sand just gave the vent pipe a coat of spray paint. Including 2 trips to Lowe's it was a 3-hour job. It's now leaking and rainwater is dripping down the pipe and coming out from under the hvac unit. I have asked 7 times since July for my copy of the invoice showing material and labor costs. Brad has promised to mail it, and he hasn't, promised to email it and he hasn't and lastly said he would run it by my house which he hasn't. In frustration, I told him I would come out to his place and pick up the invoice. I guess that was the final straw for Brad because he has stopped replying. I'm partly to blame. I thought it strange that Brad's Dad gave me the $1500.00 quote without getting on the roof to do an inspection. And, I should have gotten the estimate in writing. I relied on the 5-star reviews on Google and his dad's assurance the job would be done right. I will do better when I hire the next roofer to finish Brad's job!

Cardinal Roofing did the roof on our new house. They left a hole in the roof that allows lizards and other critters to enter. I sent them photos, but they refused to respond to me. Finally, I contacted the builder. They replied through the builder that the roof was perfect. I finally got them to answer the phone. The man I spoke to cursed me out saying "I don't give a s*** about you. I am not coming out to your house. Don't call us again." It's hard to fathom any business cussing a customer, especially when the customer sent them a photo of a hole in their work. I strongly advise not using the company.

Horrible my builder GHO used Cardinal to install my new roof on my new house. When I had some broken tiles replaced they used the wrong color mentioned it was discontinued. My neighbor just had the color they said was discontinued delivered to their house. I call Cardinal and spoke to Jennifer who I thought we got disconnected but hung up on me. When I called back a person named Bruce has a special vocabulary that is used by people who do not have respect or care for humanity. This is the second time during the past year Bruce has treated me this way when calling about roof issues on my new house that they installed. Being retired and having worked with professionals my whole life I was shocked to hear this person talk to a customer who was just trying to explain that he had the correct color. This is a simple repair of 5 minutes for them to do. I am 64 yers old and cannot recall the last time someone insulted me like Bruce R. I wish his boss will call me not for the repair but so that he does not do this to other customers.

This is the best roofing company ever. Just bought a new house a year ago my Builder uses Cardinal Roofing in my development called the Strand every single person that I know has been pleased with there roof. We have heard up strong during the 2 hurricanes that grazed us with 70 mile winds last year no leaks no issues. During my 1 year inspection we had a couple of chipped tiles which Cardinal Replaced with no problem. What makes this company special is the People Like Jennifer D and Bruce R. Both of them have priceless experience and a fist in class customer service approach. They go the extra mile and there crews are the best. This will probably be the last roof I will own in my lifetime and have been blessed that my Builder Choose Cardinal who is by far the best roofer ever. My inspection reports prove it and 2 massive storm prove it. Thank You Bruce R and Jennifer D for making Cardinal Great Julio M 7/18/2023

I signed a contract with Cardinal Roofing in February with an estimate start date of 6-8 weeks. The roof did not start until June. After Cardinal Roofing dried in the roof, they walked away because they wanted another payment. They were aware and had agreed to accept the payment terms of the insurance/mortgage company (who was holding the payment). 25% was issued to begin and the insurance/mortgage company had to send an inspector to assess the work before issuing another payment. Cardinal Roofing failed to secure the dry-in. This caused water intrusion to my home, with multiple water spots throughout the home. After several weeks of fighting for them to go back and finish the roof, Cardinal Roofing finally completed the roof replacement but has still not repaired the interior damage professionally. Cardinal Roofing is horrible about communication. Bruce is unprofessional and yelled on the phone. All they cared about was payment -- which ended up being $920 more for the roof (I don't believe they did replace all the plywood they said that they did) and it doesn't include the money I am and will be out for the interior damage. Even if they didn't want to follow the payment terms that they had previously agreed to, the roof should have been dried-in properly and the damages should have been handled professionally and corrected the first time. This is still an ongoing issue with a lawsuit on the horizon. I have filed a complaint with the State Inspector and BBB. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! They are very unprofessional and do not accept accountability. **Keep in mind these are only some of the photos. And we have photos before this roof began to show that the home had no previous interior damage for the months that we waited for them to start the replacement. The home was on the market for sale until this occurred.

When I called the roofer to come and and fix the 4th roof leak the second roof leak they tried to repair twice he said he will not help!! They are terrible!!
Description of Work: We put a new roof on over 4 years ago, and used Cardinal Roofing. Bruce the VP said that the roof would last "40 Years" and we paid extra money for the brand new roof. They finally called us back and they blamed it on someone else. They are rude and when they came out twice tried to fix the roof -we had several leaks in different spots. They said its not our fault! They are very unprofessional and we would never use them again!! Buyer beware..

I called 4 business days ago, spoke to the lady that answered the phone telling her my roof problem. She said she would have the repair person/dept. call me. The initial call was made on Weds. & as of Today, Monday at 2:30 pm no call was received. I called again & the lady said their estimator had been on vacation & she would have him call me. I'll wait another day & then I'll contact someone else. I guess Cardinal Roofing is not interested in fixing a problem caused when they put on my original roof.

Superb! They were professional, timely and polite. Everything was done as promised for the quoted price. There were no surprises. Cardinal was highly recommended by close friends who have lived in FL for over 30 years and had used them for their own re-roof. We are from the Northeast and this is our first house in FL so we did not know how FL cement tile roofs worked. Bruce came to assess the roof and provide an estimate. He told us exactly and patiently how FL roofs are different than Northeast roofs. He explained what we needed and what they were going to do. And they did it well. Furthermore, Denise and Jennifer in the office were very competent and easy to work with. PS ? When Cardinal was working on the roof, they put a protective tarp over part of the pool screen to protect it from any damage. As they were removing the old roof, one tile ?escaped? and slid past the tarped area and ripped the screen. Cardinal informed me that they would have the screen repaired at no expense to me and they did.
Description of Work: Complete re-roof including new skylights. All the workers were employees except for a sub-contractor to install the new gutters.

I am completely satisfied with my new roof. From the time the salesman came to give me the quote, He was very detailed and answered all my questions He had a written estimate sent to me which covered everything. When the men came out to work they had the first phase done in one day. Removed old roof repaired plywood and put on the first layer of roofing material. After inspection they came back another day to put on the new roof. They did a great and timely job. When it was done Cardinal had one of their men to clean up any debris that was left in my yard. He spent quite a while to make sure everything, even the smallest nails or pieces of shingle were picked up. I am very pleased with Cardinal and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: I had my old shingle roof replaced with metal. This company was very prompt and came through with all they promised. I had several estimates and this was the best price and quality.

They came out without telling me when they were coming. They left and estimate in my mailbox. When I called, they told me they never makes appointments for estimates. They wanted a response within 5 days. They came off as very arrogant and I used a different company for the work.

Response from Cardinal Roofing & Siding
Dear Member, I am disappointed that you had a negative experience with Cardinal Roofing. In your remarks, you don’t mention if you had the whole roof replaced or just repair work completed. Since a roofing permit was not issued for your property, I’m assuming you contracted for a repair. Our estimator, Bruce, whom you spoke to on the phone, has been estimating roofing projects for over 40 years. He felt it would be in your best interest and more cost effective in the long run, since you had extensive damage, to re-roof rather than repair. Obviously, you disagree. We have not been in business since 1963 by utilizing deceptive business practices. I would like to clear up a couple of the comments you made. First, no one at this office ever said that they do not make estimate appointments. Sometimes when the estimator is in the vicinity, the save time and fuel, he will inspect and measure the project, leaving a business card so that you know he was there. No estimate was left in your mailbox. One was generated at the office, prepared by my staff and mailed to your address. I can assure you that no one told you that you had 5 days to respond to the quote. Perhaps you were confused when we tried to explain the volatility that exists in the roofing industry. Because of the petroleum products used in all types of roofing materials, distributors can only honor pricing for short periods of time. We only informed you that there was a possibility that the products needed to complete your project might go up. We wanted you to be an informed consumer. As a matter of fact, you spoke to Bruce about all of these issues and he was surprised when I informed him about your negative comments. If you felt that because he would not recommend that you make repairs as arrogance, I apologize for the miscommunication. He was giving you his expert opinion. Finally, I hope this clears up some of your misconceptions. I also hope that when the time comes for you to replace your roof, Cardinal Roofing can be one of your bidders. Brad Hogan- Vice President

They did exactly what they said they would do. They have honored their warranty and came out to the house when a few tiles slipped. The only problem is they made me sign a piece of paper releasing them from liability if the driveway cracks. They cracked the heck out of it but I did sign the release so I can't complain. They needed to distribute weight a little better. I wouldn't let them on my driveway again but I would recommend them. I paid them in 3 installments. Their price was pretty close to their estimate. I am really pleased with the way they responded to the warranty. They did the roof right and it passed the wind mitigation inspection. I was happy with them and I have recommended them. They were the most reasonably priced.

I recieved estaments from ten different roofers, Bids ran fron just under $30,000.00 to over $50,000.00. I took the three best bids and checked the companies out on Angies list and with the BBB. I checked with my insurance man as to what items might help in lowering my premiumes. He strongly recomended the peel and stick underlayment. I called the top three contractors adding this change and reviewing all items in the estamations so all contractors were bidding on exactly the same product. Cardinal Roofing and Siding gave me the best price and checked outwith the BBB and a personal contact. I entered into a contract with them. The contract was clear and included all of the specificks I requested. The work was schudled at my convinence once the material was avaiible. Once the work started things went rapidly, the old roof was removed and halled away with the plywood deck applied and covered with the underlayment giving me a weather secure roof at all times during the proscess. I had a short wait for the final metal roofing materials to arive. Living in a gated community we had a few delevery problems that Cardinal delt witth professionly and quickly. With all the final materials on site the final roof went down very quickly. The workman that I delt with daily were professional and very hard workers. I did have a consern with a flashing issue on the final product but onced mentioned it was addresed and corrected at once! I had a very positive experence with Cardinal and all it's employes! Payments were made in three steps, the first third at contract signing, the second third after the decking and underlayment were complete and the final after all had passed final inspection by the county and myself!
Description of Work: Removal of the old shake shingle roof, laying down 5/8 inch plywood decking on the slats, applying peel and stick underlayment and apply a 26ga metal roof covering. Removal of all the old roof and any scraps from the new materials.
