Pettit Fiberglass Pools

I am posting this as a response of watching the giant headaches of my neighbors and the unprofessional behavior of this company. At what point did the customer become not right? In this industry the standards should be the customer is always right, that aside I have witnessed several violations in regards to basic safety measures. I am shocked the county doesn’t do a better job policing this owner. We hear frogs at night from the pool, mosquitoes are now more prevalent then ever and we can look through the gapping hole in the fence only to see the back yard trenched up, the pool completely green with no visibility to the bottom, a so called orange netting surrounding the pool half way down allowing people to just fall in. This is absolutely atrocious behavior by this company. There are 9 children under 5 years old that live next door, God forbid if they wandered over and fell in. Again, after reading some of the reviews and the countless attempts of justifying their behavior it’s very clear that the owner of this place needs to seek another career as pool specialist is not his forte. I am sure the rebuttals will stat some malarkey about about not being a customer but in reality a good neighbor is also a customer. Shame on you Pettit Pools for make a great family go through this expensive experience felling awful about their decision to go with your company and shame on you for not doing everything you can to make it right and move on. If you are reading this to decide if this is the pool company for you then please move on to a more reputable company and save yourself 2 years of headaches.

RUN! First, was told during the initial consult, contract signing and confirmed in paperwork that it would take approximately 8 weeks. It took 13 weeks to do “pool school” - The pool pump and equipment was placed not where the drawings and our discussion about placement stated it would be. - We sent a text message and had a discussion with our project manager and specifically said we did not want the electrical run down the entire length of the house to the equipment. We know that it’s not difficult to take it through the attic to make it look cleaner on the outside the house because we had just had mini splits put in and the AC installers did it with no problem. I came home during lunch to find that the electrical was already done in the exact manner we asked them NOT to do it. They should have respected the way we did not want them to do it and if they didn’t want to take the extra half an hour to do it that way, at least giving us the option to have another electrician do it the way we wanted. We asked them to fix it and were totally denied! - Our pool sat with no work being done on it for weeks then to have the deck poured and done poorly. It was uneven and had ridges and chunks out of it. Asked the contractor to come back out and fix it and he even agreed it was a terrible job and tried to make it more even by grinding concrete in many areas. Unfortunately, now we have many areas on the deck that pool with water because of doing so and there’s nothing that they can do about it. Someone came out to try to fix it and said it would look worse if he attempted to make it better. - Our project manager was horrible and was fired 4 weeks before the finish of the pool. No one ever came back out except for the pool boy that was there to clean the pool. I had to directly contact the owner via email with pictures. - We had a scare of a lien being put on our property because a sub wasn’t paid. Actually got served the paperwork but then Pettit finally paid the subcontractor and it went away. Not a good feeling as a homeowner and definitely caused worry for several days. - Since at that point I took on the role of “project manager” , A few days before inspection I discovered that there were no jets installed and no light installed in our pool. Of course no one would know that because we didn’t have anyone over seeing our job anymore. I notified them. They did send someone out to install the light and jets. - There are several stains in the deep end, some strange stains at the waterline in the shallow end, and a strange 10 to 12 inch scratch like appearance in the shallow end. All of these cosmetic issues are visible to the eye particularly when the sun is not shining directly on the pool. I have email correspondence between the owner and myself regarding these issues from mid May. These stains and blemishes have been there since they turned the pool over to us. Ilwarranty dept said scratch was a blemish from an issue with the mold & told that the stains and this blemish would be taken care of and I would be completely satisfied. However, even after they did come out all of these items are still there and when I continue to address it with them I am told that maintaining the pool is the homeowners responsibility after pool school. They refuse to address and fix our concerns WHICH HAVE BEEN THERE SINCE THE POOL WAS FINALLY CLEANED BY THEM! They have since stopped responding to me. Buyers beware you not really doing business Pettit pools your doing business with another company right now as Nomad. Before it was Global Glass pools. It seems like when things are not going good with the business they change the name to avoid legal and warranty claims. And that's what I'm going through now. It's been less than a year and the fiberglass was cracked and now I cannot get fixed cause my contract was under Global Glass and there no longer in business. So just check your contract cause you think you doing business with a reputable company me but it's not.

They were prompt and professional. Had all my questions answered.. they contracted out for the cement, the acrylic over the cement and the Lanai.. but took care of scheduling them and paying them . we are very happy

The Pettit Pools Team was phenomenal! Attentive, responsive, flexible working within my hectic schedule. Great customer service. Always checking-in to make sure I understood next steps in the installation process. From breaking ground, installation of pool, electrical work, cement work, pool enclosure they were great. Once installation complete, Pettit Pools conducted a "walk-through" with me so that I could understand the equipment and the procedure to take of my new pool. They took their time to make sure I felt comfortable. Everyone from Pettit Pools conducted themselves in a professional manner. Even now, Pettit Pools will check-in and remind me to call them with any questions I may have. This is a major purchase for me and I consider it a blessing to have a fiberglass pool installed by Pettit Pools.
