GULFSIDE DOCKS COASTAL CONSTRUCTION

I requested an estimate via Angie's list and sent a message via Angie's list. I didn't receive any response so I called the company. The lady who answered the phone said "we don't get any correspondence or messages from Angie's list" She basically cut me off mid-sentence then and transferred me. The gentleman who answered was very nice but said we don't do jobs that small and they just build new docks and demo old ones and suggested a handyman. Yet when I read other reviews, some jobs were as small as $60. The lady was rude at best and I just found it unusual that a dock construction company won't repair a dock. Disappointing but I guess I'm out of luck here.

This is by far the best company I have ever worked with. Marina Kelley came out immediately to give us an estimate. They worked with SnapJacket with a new piling product. Both teams were very professional and responsive. Paul was on site and always dealt with questions or any oversights (mostly on my end) in such a positive way it was refreshing. Marina always answered my calls or got back to me within hours. Every detail no matter how small was taken care of with a smile. My only complaint would be the length of the project, but we started the week after the hurricane and I know there were "old" customers that had emergencies, so it's not even fair to review them on that aspect. I almost miss having them on site. If all my vendors could be like this team, my job as a Condo president, would be a breeze. An A rating isn't high enough for them! This was a 17 slip dock with a fishing pier. 2 of our neighbors hired them after seeing the finished product.

They did everything on time, on budget and without much hassle, and they cleaned up well. It was a good job. I called three different companies and they gave me the best price and they were the most responsive of the three companies. When I build a new dock, they'll be the first one on my list.

The person I first spoke to was pleasant enough but then they never returned my calls or answered any of my e-mails. A simple not interested, too busy or will send someone to look would have been nice but it never happened.

Overall the work was done in a timely and professional manner except for the items listed above.

I was pleased with their services and would recommend them to others in the future. They did a great job and accomplished everything we asked them to do. The price was reasonable and they were ontime.

They are supposed to start work this week. It was a very good experience. We have a contract with them right now. Their price is very reasonable.

Had small problems with settings on boat lift. Took a week to get someone out to do adjustments. On of the pilons used was too short therefore lift had to be mounted almost a foot lower than what is usual according to one of the company's carpenters.

It was a huge project. They used the new ripped poly vinyl fluoride decking rather than the wooden material. It was a very expensive stuff. What they said is what they did. The quotes were always upfront. They offered to do a lot of extra things. They brought the things up to code. The workmanship was fantastic. They do a lot of big work in this area.

I would use them if i wasn't already using another company

My experience with Gulfside Docks Coastal Construction has been great. They are currently installing a boat lift for me. The job that they are currently doing, will take about 4 weeks. I have had them do work in the past as well. I would definitely use them in the future.

They removed my old dock efficiently and in a timely manner. Since the dock was very unstable I was concerned about the high winds during hurricane season and they handled the demolition quickly and efficiently for me. I intend to have them build a new dock shortly.
