Contacted Allied for a second opinion. Allied diagnosed the same problem; however, provided a more reasonable and lower cost solution. Was very happy with their service and would recommend them.

The salesman was very helpful giving us several options and the installer was excellent. And the office staff were great getting all the paperwork together for rebates and filing with Duke Energy for us.

The service tech said I needed an evaporator coil with txv valve and it would take about 2 hours to put in. The company wanted to charge me $2100. When I asked what the cost was for the parts and the labor, they wouldn't break it down as they only charge by the job. They also took the filters out (they did need to be replaced, but they took them out before they were) So I called another company and they said all I needed was freon. For $330 it was fixed and is working great. I think they knew I was out of area and took advantage of that. My opinion is get a second opinion!

Great, they even put down a blue tarp which extended all the way up the stairs, so as to not get dirt on the wood and carpet floors. Very professional and would recommend to any and everyone.

They were responsive, cleaned up well, did a good job, and a trouble free installation.

The team from Allied did a great job and the price was the lowest of the 3 quotes I received for nearly identical packages. The crew was prompt, very professional, and the system was installed in a single day. One technician returned the next day to take care of small items and insure the system met all the requirements for county inspection.

Awesome!!, Kevin and Jamie were the best!!. The owner Bill called to check on everything and follow up. I will be using Allied Air conditioning again. Very professional install of my American Standard heat pump a/c unit and answered all my questions.

Called 4th of July for a condo that my tenant was occupying. Scott, who answered the phone for Allied A/C, said they would be out the next day in the morning. They called back on the 5th and said they would be out between 1-5pm. Then they called back and said they would need a credit card before they would come out. They showed up a little after 5 pm and told me the condensate line was stopped up and they would have to blow it out and the cost was $240. I said that was high just to blow out a condensate line, but told him to go ahead. He called me again at 6 pm and said the thermostat was bad and now the cost was $420. Once again I said OK because my tenant had to have A/C. I questioned how two things could go wrong at the same time and he said something about bad thermostat wires. Overall the guy was rude and I think was not telling me the truth and the prices were too high for the little work that he probably did. Is it possible that Allied has to different levels of service? I did not identify myself as an Angie's List subscriber and he did not treat me as one. He was rude and probably overcharged. I think the service person was Kevin at cell phone 352-650-6560 (not sure of this name and #).

Technicial showed up and did the job quickly and efficiently. He had to come back once since then but he did and it was a minor problem which he corrected. He seems to know what he is doing.

When I called Allied they came out to service my A/C unite on the same day. They arrived on the agreed time and made the necessary repairs. Happy with their service. Will use them again.

I first called Allied after another company who I had a maintenance contract with said I needed a new unit. That contractor did two things - they disparaged the quality of the Goodman unit that was failing - but very quickly quoted a new Amana system. I found this quite absurd as Goodman and Amana are the same company. I called Allied after seeing their trucks in the neighborhood and Florian came out to my house that afternoon. He had already pulled the pasco appraiser forms on the floorplan and knew the square footage of the house. He spent 2 hours at my home discussing all types of units that would be a possible fit. He was very quick to ask questions regarding my cooling preferences, my work schedule, my vacation schedule, if the current unit was doing an adequate job in its cooling. Florian had pricing from all lines - Carrier, Trane, Bryant, American Standard - this made it very easy for me to work through the different pricing options. Florian did not try to upsell me on any technologies that were not a fit. We decided on a 3 ton compressor and 3.5 ton air handler with a variable motor. 16 seer single stage. The price came out to be a little more than I had originally expected - but through some fair negotiation with the owner Bill we settled on a price that worked for both parties. That weekend Jamie showed up to do the install. What an incredible guy he was. He basically showed me from the start all the shoddy workmanship that had been a part of the previous install. Truthfully he had to completely rebuild the pedestal and all the duct work for the new air handler because it was covered with mold from a crappy install. His crew worked all day - redid everything to code - and their workmanship was OCD neat and clean. With this new purchase I was given an extra year of labor (2 years total to start) and was enrolled in their club program which gives two maintenance checkups for free. I simply cannot say enough good things about my experience with Allied - and trust me I spent an entire weekend looking at over a couple of hundred reviews about Allied and their competitors. I am 100% satisfied - and have already had neighbors inquire about my dealings with them. I am happy to refer them.

On February 4, Florian came to our house to discuss a replacement for our existing A/C system which was not longer working. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase a larger and more expensive system than we needed. In fact, Florian pointed out the pros and cons of different systems without steering us into something more than we needed. Then he was able to actually get the initial work scheduled for the next day, much to our surprise. A major thanks to Allied's president Bill Wright for working us into their very busy schedule since we were without heat or A/C at that point. Jamie, the installer, and his crew were terrific. They were professional, dedicated to getting the job done right, and cheerful throughout the entire process -- which took a bit longer, and turned out to be a bit more difficult, than originally anticipated, We have dealt with several difference A/C companies over the years and are so glad that we chose Allied to replace our system.

From the beginning, we never felt pressured to buy. Scott simply laid out the pros and cons of working on our system, which we believe was installed in 1972! Although the probable repair would be around $500, we agreed that a new system made more sense. Scott worked up the numbers and although it was more than we expected, we signed the contract and scheduled the work. The crew was fantastic! They arrived 30 minutes early at 9am, got straight to work, and didn't stop until 7pm. Due to the age of our system and the duct work, they were unable to complete the work that day, but returned the following. Not only did they professionally install the new heat pump, they replaced all the drain line, rewired and installed a new thermostat, and most importantly patiently answered all our questions.

It went very well. The technician was very prompt & helpful. He gave me some very helpful information about the filters & my A/C ducts.

It was great. He called before he arrived and arrived early. Very kind, very professional. Clean and neat. Gave me the parts he replaced.

This is the second time we've called on Allied and just like the first time they were very professional from the initial contact throughout the service. The technician, Scott was polite, prompt and provided excellent service. He recommended some tips that we could perform when when we change our filters to help alleviate some of the reoccurring issues. Without pressure he suggested we have our coils cleaned in the Spring being ever mindful that Christmas is around the corner and we'd probably not want to spend the money now. I won't hesitate to use Allied again and have set a calendar reminder for myself to schedule the suggested coil cleaning using Allied's services. Michelle S.

Tech arrived on time, I requested what i wanted done. All completed to my satisfaction.

He was very professional, called and identified himself prior to arriving at my home. Came in to show and explain what the problem was, how much it would cost to repair.

They did well. They took their time, were not in a hurry. Scott, did a very good job and was very thorough.

I called early Sunday morning and Scott returned my call promptly. He was out to my house within an hour. By my description of the problem, Scott was able to diagnose the problem right away and began working to fix the problem. He was very professional and courteous. He explained what he was doing and how I could prevent this from happening in the future. He did not try to sell me things I did not need. I was able to use a coupon they had to save some money. The Sunday additional fee was not that expensive and I gladly paid the fee to be back in comfort in my home. I will recommend this company to everyone I know and will definitely do business again when I have my unit serviced as well as for any issues that come up with my unit.

The young employee worked hard and our A/C does feel better. The boss gave me an Angie’s List discount for the first portion of the work, but would not give us a discount for the second portion of the work.

The tech spent three hours checking everything out. Adjusted some things and recommendations. However the problem we have is not resolved and we have chosen to seek another opinion.

We had had a new A/C installed about 4-5 years ago by another company. We had problems with the condensation drip pan overflowing down into our ceiling. They stated that they had added a shut off valve however apparently it did not work and we had the same issue again. We called Allied based on reviews we had read and they came out to replace the nonfunctioning shut off valve. The repairman suggested that the airhandler be raised so that the condensation tray could be placed at the proper pitch and came out a couple of days later to do this (it was a 2 man job). They pointed out signs of improper initial installation and fixed these. All the repairmen who came out to our home were friendly and professional and there was no "hard sell". Will definitely use them again for all our A/C needs.

Scott was great, as always. This is the third time I have dealt with this company and they continue to impress me with their professionalism and courtesy. They are my first call for AC trouble!
