Description of Work: I was very pleased with their service and their prices are very good. They came to my house the day after I called them and he replaced the capacitor which was under warranty. I would recommend Allied to anyone who needs service for their a/c's. Kudos to Allied !!!

Description of Work: Service rep came to repair suddenly dead A/C. Service man was neat, polite and in uniform. He convinced us we should replace unit. Since I am not at home for weeks a time, I decided to replace rather that repair. Price was similar to a unit I bought a couple of years before at another house, so I did not comparison shop. I was not told of an extra fee for repair on Saturday. |Installers came in an unmarked truck and did not wear uniforms; I was leery. However, the very young looking installers were polite, worked quickly, and did a neat install. The office called about two weeks later to see if I was happy. |

Description of Work: I signed up with Angie's List today to find a reliable AC Company since my central AC stopped working. After joining my roommate took it on his own accord to call someone and they were coming over right away. So needless to say I had to cancel Allied Air Conditioning. Both Allied and Angie's list were very helpful and understanding. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience as today you find a lot of companies make things so very very hard.

Description of Work: I called Allied to repair my mom-operating A/C. Repair man came promptly, repaired my unit. He then went into a pitch to replace my unit. |I was in the market to replace anyway, so accepted his bid to replace. His price was inline with what I paid on another house. Soon after, two young men arrived to install. The repair man was in uniform with a marked truck. The installers were in street clothes, older plain truck. I was uneasy, but they were skilled, polite, and courteous. |I recieved a follow-up call about two weeks later. |Overall, a good experience.

Description of Work: We purchased a $35 coupon for a Diagnostic service call to check why the air was not cooling properly when the thermostat temperature was a few degrees lower than the room temperature. Everyone I spoke with at Allied were very nice. We had an appointment between 9:00-1:00; the service tech called at 9:00 sharp and was there by 9:30. After explaining the issue, he knew exactly what the problem was before he checked the system (though he did a thorough diagnostic and cleaned the coils and drain.) The issue? User error. See, we keep our house at 82 degrees during the day, when we are not home. At 5:00, the thermostat is programmed to go down to 78 degrees. As the technician explained, 82 degrees is when moister starts TO accumulate. When the thermostat is turned down, the ac will try to pull out all of the moisture which will then start cooling the air. Since it is very hot and very humid here, it may take HOURS for it the air temp to adjust accordingly. His recommendation was to keep the thermostat no higher than 80 degrees, which will help keep out some of the moisture so the air doesn't have to work as hard. I appreciate the technician's honesty!!! Thank you for such great service!

Description of Work: They installed a new A/C and heating system. They were very professional and cleaned up when they were done. We're very happy with their service and recommend them. They also called to follow up and make sure the system is working properly.

Description of Work: Tech arrived on time and was very professional. Described problem and he |fully tested and fixed it the first time. Also recommended how to prevent the problem again which was a clogged condensation line. |He also did annual maintenance and suggested ideas about filter maintenance. |I will use these folks again and ask for the same technician.

Description of Work: The air went out on a weekend and I called several companies who were too busy or did not return my call. Allied scheduled me and came out first thing Monday morning. It was fixed right away.

Description of Work: The technican took care of the problem right away. he took care of a couple other problems that he found. All in all, we were very pleased with the service and how quickly it was performed. The office personell is also very helpful and answered the phone when I called. I like that.
