Allied Air Conditioning & Heating

Allied Air Conditioning is my ally. In April of 2013 it was late in the evening and I was having trouble with my A/c unit. My (then) provider did not have after hours services, so regretfully I decided I needed to change providers. I got this companies information from Angie's List and contacted them. Even though it was my first call they were prompt, at coming out to help me with my problem. They were efficient and courteous and at that time I decided to keep them as my go to A/C people. One thing that I also did at that time was to enroll in their platinum program. It has been a lifesaver. They call it their fix it and forget it program and it's true. Just this past week, I began having major air conditioning issues. My talking thermostat of 13 years (I am totally blind) decided that it would no longer work. I contacted Allied, again late in the evening, and the gentleman told me he would be out in one hour or 90 minutes. Scott made good on the promise and after running some tests he stated that indeed the thermostat was no longer working. I explained to him that this was a talking thermostat, and he said no problem he had one of them on the truck. I was thrilled, no back ordering, no waiting for weeks to get one. He installed it, and not only did he install it, but because it's button layout was different than my old one, he patiently went through all the buttons with me to show me how they worked. After the thermostat was installed, I asked him what I owed, he stated since I was on the platinum plan, I owed nothing. What a wonderful thing!! Once that problem was resolved, in a couple of days another arose. My unit was leaking coolant. Again, they came to the house, did some checking and found out that there were some major issues going on. We discussed replacement of the unit. On 9/24 a new one was installed. They arrived at approximately, 11 AM and left at approximately 5 PM. They were very efficient, clean and courteous, protecting my floors with coverings and making sure that all was vacuumed up neatly before they left. Jamie, the main installer, also showed me how my new unit differed from my old. He showed me where the float switch was and how it worked. He also showed me where the drain was. He said "I want you to know where these are, but all you have to do is call us and we will come to you with no charge." When I call, Linda, who usually answers the phone is always very courteous and very helpful. I am very happy with this company; their responsiveness is great, they go above and beyond as far as explaining to me how things work and where things are, and I plan to be a customer for many more years.

They came out the same day I bought the Big Deal. I was happy with their promptness, and they got it fixed.

Scott came out and diagnosed that the unit was running at a high amperage. He replaced the conductor, added some Freon, rinsed out the coils for better airflow, and retested the system before he left. End of the day jobs can seem a bit hurried, but Scott took the time to make sure it was done properly! I will be using their services in the future. Thank you for a job well done.

They did everything right! They pulled permits! The guys that did the job were very professional, clean! Bill the owner of Allied gave us options to fit our budget! We now a new a/c system that works like a charm and is reliable and now we know that Allied will stand by the system they installed! The inspector told us that Allied did a excellent job! The guys that installed our system took about 6 hrs to install and left the work area very neat and clean! If you need any a/c services we would say call Allied!

Gee Whiz I think I got carried away and said it all in the above statement.

Allied came out to give us a second opinion on needing a new a/c unit. They did agree that the first company was correct in saying that the unit should be replaced. We weren't willing to do that yet, so they repaired the unit for us. It was done really well. We were so happy that we took out a service contract with them. I was very pleased with their punctuality and how quickly they had our a/c back on. Their price was far better than the original estimate we had gotten from the first company.

The installers were here on time, worked very efficiently, cleaned up. They were friendly and explained everything about the equipment. The entire experience from the appointment with the owner for a quotation to the installation of the equipment was a very good experience. We would recommend them whole heartedly.

My overall experience was excellent! The response to my call was lightning fast and Jamie was extremely professional. I called other places that wanted to charge over $100 to just look at the a/c. I didn't feel my problem was an emergency so I chose to wait until the next day, but when Jaime returned my call he had a guy ready to come out within a couple hours at no extra charge (that was a pleasant surprise to me). He explained that his repairmen would see what the problem was and if was possible to fix that evening he would. The repairman came equipped and ready to get the job done and that he did.

Good experience with Allied. Reasonable price. Punctual. Arrived on time and worked hard to finish the same day, as we were going on vacation the next day. Had problem later in the evening. The tech can out @ 10:30 PM and adjusted the refrigerant level to fix the problem.

They are reliable, reasonable, and very professional.

He is very good and very reasonable. They were very professional, came out very soon, did their job, and we had no problems. They are excellent, it was a reasonable price, they came right away, and I would use them again in the future. I give them higher ratings.

AC unit stopped working, not a good problem in Florida even in late October. Called the company, was treated professionally and courteously by the dispatcher who made the appointment for the same day. Technician, Richard, arrived on-time. He continued the professionalism from the home office. He was friendly, but got right to work. After a thorough diagnosis, he solved the problem, replacing the bad section of wire. He informed me of a potential future problem, which was under warranty. He also explained that the system components were in good working order and would not need a cleaning for some time (i.e. he didn't try to sell me an unnecessary service). His receipt, cost was very reasonable, gave a complete explanation of the services rendered. If system needs future work, I would request Richard by name.

We have a vacation home in Florida . My Most of my family also have homes in the area. I have one of my relatives watch over our home when we are up north so if there is a problem usually it is handled by the contractors that my family is familiar with. Unfortunately, most of my family members are elderly now, and the contractors they use are not the original ones they started with. I noticed that my AC was unusually high ($350-$400) during the summer months. My relative had her AC person check the system and apparently there was some kind of leak. It was weeks of hit and miss attempts to try and fix the leak. I finally went on Angies list to locate a new contractor to have a look at the situation. I spoke to Bob at Allied. Within a few days I had all the information I needed to make a decision regarding the old AC/heat system. We decided to replace the old one and install a new one. It was done most professionally and within a short time frame. I personally could not be there, but according to my relative ?care taker?, Allied did a great job.

We actually had two guys out because the first guy didn't fix the problem. The second guy was fine and fixed the problem. We haven?t had any problem since. We had paid the first guy $125 and the owner took the price off the bill when the second guy came out. The price was reasonable.

This nonsense started in the beginning of May, and I have never heard from them since, and obviously don't expect to. They are either grossly disorganized in their office management or don't care about customer service. In any case, their handling of this matter is extremely disrespectful. It is simple to say that they are not able to schedule a job at this time. That's how professional business people behave.

They disposed off our old unit. The service was fine. They did what they promised. They were here on time. I have no complaints.

Spoke to Leslie on a Friday, she scheduled a service call for the following Monday. George arrived right on time, found the problem, fixed it in about 1. 5 hours. Turns out there was a tiny freon leak- George replaced the part that was leaking and did a check on my whole system. I have a 5 year warranty for parts, and 1 year on labor. As I was only 2 months out of my labor warranty, George said the company would not charge me ANYTHING! He said "it's just the right thing to do". I was shocked, amazed and thrilled. There are good, principled companies in Florida- who knew?

The experience was fine with them. They showed up when they said they were going to come. They had to come back the next day with the part and they came back when they said they were going to come back and called ahead of time. They did the job for me. They also gave me a discount in the service call. There was nothing wrong with their service but there was nothing extraordinary as well. They were very responsive.

They did an excellent job and they were very knowledgeable.

They were professional, straight forward and timely. Everything that they said they would do was done and the system they installed is working perfectly.

The price was good. The service was good. It was a good experience all the way around!

I called them on Sunday morning and they came out very very quickly and the price was right.
