The project started on-time, with the screen repair and door replacements requiring 4 days of effort. Bryan and Skylar from Miller Screen worked well together, and did an excellent professional job. I'd highly recommend these craftsmen, as they are well skilled in the planning, execution, and clean-up required for a complicated screen enclosure repair.
Description of Work: Repair (full prescreening) was needed for a two-story spa enclosure, plus replacements for four screen doors needed for egress and exit to each lanai.

Blake Miller, owner of Miller's screen promised to come back and fix the damage. No one never came back or responded. Blake Miller accepted no responsibility; his attorney said he was just an employee of the company, even though the company advertises to be a family owned and operated business. Now waiting for the court date.
Description of Work: Hired to install a screen room, installed the roof in the wrong place, damaged by roof, soffit, fascia, drip edge, and cut my gutters.

Got a "quote" December 16th - It said work to be done in 8-10 weeks! Got a call 1st of April said they would repair my screens on April 7th - No show/No call! I called again on April 10 and was told they NEVER say work to be done in 8-10 weeks - more like 18 weeks! Person I spoke to said I was NEXT on list to be done! 2 weeks later still now work no phone call? I called AGAIN and was told I would have work done Wed April 26! (I was called on 25 to verify Wed) Work was finally satisfactorily completed Wed afternoon! (Person who gave me the original estimate was no longer with company)! I had recommended Miller Screen to a friend and he was given a "run around" and work would NOT be done for at least 18 weeks!?!? TOTALLY NOT ACCEPTABLE! I will never use Miller again nor will I recommend themto anyone who lse!

I would recommend these people to my worst enemy. I hate my worst enemy. On 4-3-17 received call from Emily stating work would be done 4-6-17. On 4-5-17 called office to confirm scheduled appointment. I was told workers would be there tomorrow. Called office 4-6-17 to obtain approximate arrival time. Was told "in the afternoon." Noon came and went, 1 pm, 2 pm still no show. 2:45 pm workers show up. They came on property, looked at the job, said they did not have enough material for the job and they would have to contact the boss. They both got into their truck and took off without another word to me. I called the office to ask for the manager or boss. Emily said that "no one was there" except herself. She said the boss was in the field and she could not contact him. I asked "Doesn't the boss have a cell phone?" She said yes but he keeps it in the truck(?). I continued to demand the boss contact me before the end of the workday. She said that may not happen. I again demanded to be contacted by day's end. She then HUNG UP ON ME! I immediately called back to demand to talk to the boss by day's end explaining I am the customer. SHE HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! About 30 minutes later I received a call from an older person telling me that this girl was so upset over the way I TREATED HER, that I was a rude person and that they will not finish the job they started. I told him their guys did not do anything but look and the job, said they don't have the material to do the job and then drove away. Remember they had 3 months to order the proper material. The man continued to say they do not want to do the job for a person like me and that he would return my deposit. I received a check from them dated 4-7-17 signed by, I believe, Ed Miller in the amount of the deposit on 4-10-17. These people need a course on how to treat a customer.
Description of Work: Contracted to re-screen pool enclosure. Job was scooped out on 1-6-17. Estimated time to start work was 12-14 weeks

Called and spoke to a pleasant young lady and had appt for estimate scheduled for 1 pm about 2 weeks in the future. Realizing that there was a lot of demand I felt that a 2 wk wait was reasonable. The day finally arrived and no one showed up. No phone call. Nothing. I called them and was told that our name was not even on the list for estimating. I was upset but rescheduled. Was supposed to be at 9 am this past Sunday. No one showed up. No phone call. The person I spoke to to schedule this one said that they would call, etc. Obviously they have no idea how to treat potential customers. These youngsters don't seem to understand that setting realistic expectations AND communicating with customers is better than ignoring them and basically demonstrating that they just don't care. Very disappointed.
Description of Work: Have damage to screen enclosure from hurricane Matthew.

Called to schedule appt for estimate. Then i called to confirm time of appointment and the receptionist said she had no record of an appointment. She then later said she found the appointment and that it was two weeks later than the initial scheduled appointment

Will never use or recommend!!
Description of Work: Replaced screen panels...different color than existing screen...made multiple calls from time of installation until now. No satisfaction.Carl came out agreed screen was different color.... said Blake would call. Blake called Friday April 1st said he would be out that day to look...never came never called. This has been on going. Called them AGAIN today...when you call you get Pat...she will keep telling you she'll give them the message. This is THE most unprofessional, unreliable company we have EVER dealt with.

I don't know where to begin with this. I personally spoke to your husband and told him I'll TRY and come over. All your screen panels are old and need to be replaced. You only wanted to do a couple panels so of course it's going to look like a checkerboard. New panels look different than old panels and whoever built enclosure the first time probably used different screen than we used. There is no way to make them match unless you do all the screens. We are a busy company so if it takes me a couple days to return a call after I spoke to your husband than you have to be patient. I work outside everyday I just don't sit by my phone. Now i guess you never talk to your husband or you would know our agreement but I guess I'll stop being nice and trying to make you happy after you try and bash and talk bad about my company.

Carl came out measured for a screen door and said I would hear from him at least by Friday. Of course I was not contacted. So I called Miller's office and left a message for Carl to call me please. It is now the following Friday , no call back. I gave "D" for professionalism as at least the office answered the phone.

Removed the old screens completely. Power washed all the aluminum framework, including all the spline grooves. Replaced all of the screens with 18/14 screening, including both doors. Rolled in ALL spline grooves with new spline. Replaced ALL of the screws in the structure with stainless steel screws. Replaced all of the Tap-Con bolts at the base of the structure. Installed heavy duty (pet) screen in all of the lower panels, including both doors. Cleaned adjacent gutters. Power washed the complete deck surrounding the pool. Reattached and adjusted F W cables.
Description of Work: Rescreened swimming pool enclosure.

They said it would be 2 weeks to get out and it took 5 weeks but once they got out they did a good job. They were slow in getting out to do the actual work but once they did they did a good job.

The price was reasonable and they did a really nice nob. They were very professional and they remedied our situation. We had to remove other doors and screening to move it to another location and they worked it out real well. I would use them again.

Everything was good except the new room leaked every time it rained. It wasnt built to the expectations we had asked including a beam for a ceiling fan by their planner he failed to document that conversation and tell the builders. They came out approximately 10 times to fix with no success fixing the leaks. We had up to 15 cups all around our room to catch the water drops. The company seems to be overbooked and understaffed for the amount of work they claim to have. Customer service response times are very slow. I made the mistake of paying them in full before comfirming the roof after it rained. After they were paid we seemed to be annoyance to them. Had to hire another contractor to fix their work. They blamed it on our roof, which was just put on by WLK roofing so confirmed no existing problems. They told us they would do good by us if we had to get it fixed. I sent them the bill and a certified letter and they returned it unclaimed and unopened. I wouldnt recommend them not because of their mistake persay but their business practices on how they treat customers. Im a fellow business owner myself!

Estimator was prompt on the day of the appointment. Service workers were also prompt. There were three of them and they worked well together as a team. They worked around my numerous potted plants so I didn't have to move them. Everyone I dealt with in the field was professional and courteous, as was the office staff I worked. I will not hesitate to call them again when I need screen repairs.

Poor communication and confusing. MUST get every detail in writing, or they will try to lien your home. If they say gutters are included....no problem, get it on the proposal. What ever you do, do not upgrade from the original agreement. To spend more opens up problems. They damaged my home removing the old structure without any responsibility to repair. Their agreement didn't say they were not responsible for damages.....so you would assume.... don't assume. Don't call for another opinion because you may find out you are being overcharged with the upgrade.....and be prepared for a hostile phone call. They don't believe in sitting down calmly and discussing customers concerns.

There was absolutely zero confusion!!! [member name removed] wanted to go ahead with our company to install a patio but once the job was to be performed [member name removed] added changes to her orignally estimate and drawing of her job and wanted the extra work to be free. Changes can be made at any time but with a change that has to do with extra work and more materials and more engineering as a company we have to document changes and acquire the appropriate money for extra upgrade work to be performed. There was no lien because there was no work performed at this residence. Our contracts clearly show EXACTLY what work will be performed but if there is upgrades then a new contract will be issued showing the new upgrades. I personally spoke to [member name removed] on the phone and in person when we tore down her existing patio. it came down to a money issue for [member name removed] after she upgraded from original contract price was too high for her.

It went poorly. I spent a day after the final installation, replacing the sprinkler system where Miller had botched it up. I have never heard again from Miller Screen again, and certainly there was never anything offered monetarily for the bad job they did.
Description of Work: They were to provide a "mirror image" of the existing screened porch that was already in place. This included a cement pad and erect a screen room which doubled the size of the existing room. After misplacing the paperwork for the homeowner's association the work began. The cement installer chose the only day of rain in Edgewater for several weeks, and it too almost 12 hours to pour the concrete because of the non-stop rain. Once the installation began I noticed that the new instal did not match the original installation. I tried calling the owner as well as the salesman, neither of whom I could reach. Too much time had passed since my phone call and the incorrect installation ha taken place. I was told that an adjustment would be made for the error, but none was ever made. I attempted to withhold $300.00 from the amount already paid. but CitiBank would not go along with the withheld payment, In the meantime Miller Screen began a lein on my home for the $300.00, which I was unaware that a contractor could do. In preparation for the cement slab, Miller Screen dug up part of my existing sprinkler systm and did nnot tell me. When the system came on it flooded the area because there was no cap placed on the end of the pipe.
