Jonathan Thomas Lawn Care

I paid upfront for a year. Have records showing it through text and bank statements. Came for 3 months and never came back. Said son was sick, which I sympathize for but never refunded money or came back to complete work. Lied to me several times. Extremely unprofessional

Jonathan is doing my lawn work, leaf blowing, and roof cleaning. He is very fast, punctual, does a great job and always comes on an established schedule which is great as we like to have our dog inside when lawn work is being done and gates are open.

Jonathan and his team come out twice a month during the warm/hot months and comes once a month during the cool months. Performs service as promised and is responsive and corrects any deficiencies when identified immediately.

The tree trimming went well and Jonathan's crew did an excellent job with this. I had also been using this provider for monthly lawn service. I asked him to suspend my account for December at the end of November, as half my yard is dead and I wanted to try to repair my lawn. I successfully spread soil and seeded the side of my lawn that was a small area. Jonathan told me that he showed pictures of my lawn to 4 chemical companies (really?) and that I needed a new lawn. For $2,500 he wanted to pull out the old grass and lay new sod. That sounds lovely but I can't afford to do this. That is why I experimented with the seeding. It worked! I sent Jonathan a message asking if he would send someone over to rake and deliver a truck of topsoil and spread it for me for the other side of my yard that is larger. (My irrigation system has since been repaired.) I am 60 and disabled so it is more work than I can do by myself. Jonathan hasn't bothered to respond to my message, so I assume he is not interested.in the work. I guess since I didn't do it his way, (the expensive way) he doesn't want to help. But they made sure to send me a Bill for December Lawn Care which they did NOT provide and I will not be paying. When Jonathan took over my lawn care I had a full yard of grass. (and weeds) My irrigation system went down which I didn't realize. I would have thought when the grass started dying off maybe he should have said something to me. I am not blaming him for my grass dying, just saying, if he communicated better it may not have gotten to where it is. Overall, as nice of a guy as he is, he needs to learn some communication skills. As with the tree job, he gave me an estimate and I approved the work to be done but had to call him 2 weeks later to find out if and when he put this job on his schedule. I had to text him again after that to ask what day he planned to be here. I think this guy has forgotten that he is not the only provider in town. I will take my business elsewhere. UPDATE 3-21-16 On December 25th, I put out compost manure and seeded my yard with Bermuda and rye grass. We had an unseasonably warm December so in only a few weeks I had grass growing and now have a beautiful lawn for approximately $250.00 instead of "upward of $2,000.00. When you have ambitious young people that work hard (which is a good thing), then feel like they can price gouge you because you are an elderly female then that is just wrong. If I could post a picture of my lawn here as proof, I would-Before and after pictures, but I don't see how to do that.

Jonathan is a very pleasant young man. He took his time going over our small area detailing what needed to be done and giving us a very reasonable price to accomplish the work along with an economical monthly maintenance plan. Though the actual work has not been done yet, we are confident that we will be happy when it is completed.

How did it go? Never got a chance to find out. NOTE: So as not to confuse readers...I have not changed my original written response. PLEASE read down to John's response to my original misguided review. John's response is accurate. I jumped the gun and should have waited to write this review. Lesson learned for this old lady. Then please read my second review. I have changed the scores. I did apologize for my first review and hope that we will have a long working relationship.

They did a beautiful job and would have them back again. Very reasonably priced

Jonathan is very thorough and knows what needs to be done even before being told and does it. Jonathan did all the work unsupervised as I was away at the time and he and his crew did an excellent job. He is responsive and a straight shooter. He tells you what he can do, when he can do it and how much. No BS. You won't have to spend days playing phone tag with Jonathan. Jonathan offers a number of services beyond "Lawn Care". I would put him in the total property care and improvement category.

He comes every Monday and we have never had any troubles. We have been using his services since April and he has been great.

This was a big job that went very well. Jonathan and his team are very professional and hard working. Did not waste any time and clearly communicated at all times that their objective was to make sure we were satisfied. They did so well, I asked for a proposal for an annual contract to maintain the yard.

Went perfectly fine. I left for work in the morning and everything was all overgrown. When I got home it was all neat and trimmed. Hauled away all the trimmings and left no mess.

I have found this lawn company to be very prompt and dependable. I have tried many different lawn care services and have been very disappointed. One day, my sister asked "Why don't you go on Angie's list and find a lawn service with great reviews?' That's what I did and Jonathan Thomas Lawn Care has been terrific.

He's extremely knowledgeable of plants and how to properly treat them. He has strong ideas of how to care for a lawn and what to do to maximize the appearance of it. He's been able to repair my sprinkler system which had been neglected by my home's previous owner. His team is composed of friendly, hard-working folks.

He was great. On time. Great price. Great work! I would use him again in a heart beat!!!

Every time the work is done beautifully, without exception. You can't find better work at any price, and their prices are reasonable. Very, very highly recommended!

Jonathan and his team did an amazing job cleaning up our yard after a year of it not being maintained! We would highly recommend him and will definitely use him again to keep up our quarterly landscaping maintenance.

I called Jonathan, he not only called be right back but came to my home within an hour to give me an estimate. He was very friendly and professional. He completed the work in the time he stated and I am very happy with the quality and cost. I have hired him to maintain my home on a monthly basis.

I just moved to the area and the yard was in desperate need of attention. Jonathan answered the phone, first try, and was able to come the same day and take care of everything. I set up annual service and now, like magic, my yard looks great all the time!

I have a vacation property that I was having trouble getting someone to take care and when I contacted Jonathan Thomas he went over the next day and took care of it immediately. It was very, very high so the initial cut was a high cost, but the subsequent cuts are only going to be about $25. Jonathan was wonderful. After the cut, he emailed me a picture so I would be assured that it was complete. I didn't ask. He just sent it. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Great service.

Jonathan is a superb communicator. He answers all calls and emails promptly. He provides services exactly at the time he says he will come, and he listens to exactly what you want. I asked him not to use herbicides or pesticides. He had no problem with that, and offered some great suggestions to save me time and money. After 27 years of living in Florida, I finally found someone who is knowledgeable about Florida lawn care and does exceptionally good work. I am delighted with my lawn and all of the advice I got from Jonathan. He is a true professional, and we would not think of using anyone else. His rates are the most reasonable of anyone we have ever hired.

I wanted a lawn service to take care of our lawn and trim some palm trees. Jonathan was the only service with the ability to contact via email which is my preference.
