Virgil did an excellent job of quoting the work to be done, coming out to do the work quickly and cleaning up afterwards. His price was fair and the quality of work excellent. I will definitely be using Florida Heights in the future and recommending them to others.

Prompt efficient fair priced service

I contacted Virgil from Florida Heights via Angie's List thru the message service towards the end of Feb - I was looking for somebody to prune my 300 year old Live Oak tree that canopies my home. I travel for business so I do many things long distance. I first contacted Virgil in Feb and asked if this would be a job he and his crew could handle. I did this via Angie's List message system. He responded immediately. Within the first two weeks of March, I called him and we discussed what my needs were regarding the tree. I explained that I was away on business but that my 30 year old daughter could meet him to ask and answer any questions. He wanted to wait until I returned home for a week long visit around Easter time (early April) so he could get the estimate and do the work while I was home- that was fine by me - whatever made him comfortable - a tentative date was set - I was to let him know when I was in town. Then I was held up two weeks at my travel assignment. I notified Virgil as soon as I knew that my arrival home was delayed another two weeks - He said it wasn't an issue and to let him know when I was home. I arrive home over a week-end and call him on Monday - He was going to come to my home Tues at 8am - when he didn't show by 9:30am I called him - "I forgot about you" is what I'm told - said he had a tree emergency during the night - somebody had a tree through their roof - Then I'm told he would be out of town Wed and Thurs - so now the day is set for Friday at 8:30am - Friday comes - no call - no show Saturday at 8:15am my phone rings - Virgil leaves me a msg "are we still on for 8:30?" I call him back immediately and have to leave him a msg - I remind him our appointment was for FRIDAY at 8:30 and not to show up at my home. He called me back, left a msg that is still on my phone - I haven't listened to it - I don't care what the excuse is - Sunday I fly back out of town without my tree being pruned - an project I started to work on in Feb. May not seem like a big deal to some and obviously not to Virgil- but it was and is to me. I wish I could give an account of his work, but I can't - he never bothered to show up

They were excellent. Personable as well as professional. They arrived and immediately started working. Very thorough and did an excellent job of cleanup. I cannot recommend this company enough. Great work at a great value!

Virgil is very professional and obviously takes great pride in his business. He responded quickly to my inquiry, came and gave an estimate and did the work in less than a week. I had 2 large trees with large branches hanging over my roof-he trimmed both trees, cleaned up every bit of debris and made sure I was happy with the work. I wouldn't hesitate to use his service for any other work I may need done. You will get your money's worth and then some!

While FHS was not the lowest bigger, they were not the highest either. Virgil Stoitzfus is very professional. He made suggestions on what work was needed and give me an estimate. He obtained the proper permit from the city on Monday for the tree removal. As soon as that was done, he contacted me right away and set an appointed for the work to be done the next Thursday morning. He and his team arrived at the appointed hour and did the work in the time he estimated it would take. The final price was the same as the estimate. No hidden charges. Florida Heights Service has a “cherry picker” so no one had to scale any trees. The wood chipper mulched all the cuttings so that there was no debris. The removed the 3 trees in my yard, two of which were threatening the house. Nothing fell from the trees hitting the house. The tackle to handle the cuttings safely delivered the cuttings out to the street where the wood chipper was. I would certainly hire Florida Heights Service again next time. They are nice people to work with.

We asked for a quote from Florida Heights to remove a very large branch of an oak tree that was hanging over our home, trim several palm trees, remove other branches from other trees in the front yard and remove an orange tree that was diseased. Virgil (owner) showed up on time the same day to provide the quote. The price he gave was very reasonable. The job performed by Virgil along with his two sons was excellent, he also trimmed some other trees that were not in his original quote at no additional charge. He did an excellent job in cleaning all the debris after the job was completed. We were not only impressed with his work performance but also his work ethic. We have lived in this community for 30 years and have had numerous tree and yard work done, Virgil and crew have done the best job. I highly recommend Florida Heights.

It was such a pleasure to work with Virgil on trimming the branches of some very large oak trees. Some of the large limbs were hanging over the roof of the house and they were able to use their bucket truck to remove them with no problem and no danger of damage to the house. He and his crew are courteous, professional, and responsive. They want you to be happy with the job and provide suggestions that are helpful (such as which limbs to remove to prevent mildew growth on house). He really goes above and beyond. Very reasonably priced compared to the other estimates that we received. This company will be our "go to" favorite for years to come.

Showed up on time and did a great job. Cleaned up after the job and left my yard looking good. Courteous and knowledgeable. The job took much longer than he expected and only at my insistence did he adjust the price upward to account for the extra work. Virgil is well known and much liked by the residents of "The Fly-In". He is honest to a fault and sets a great example for his eight children, some of whom work with him in the business. Virgil makes a friend of every customer.
