+ -1 moreEvaporator coil was freezing over. Call and they did have someone out that day. Diagnosis was bad expansion valve and would cost another $400.00 on top of $175.00 already paid. Tech checked system again prior to installing part and said it was not the expansion valve but the compressor was bad. Said it would be upward of $3,000.00 to fix. Waited a couple of days for them to get back to me and did not get a call. Called Jerry Brittingham A/C and the tech said there was nothing wrong with the compressor. He changed changed the expansion valve and fixed the problem. Now we have cold air. I call Mike at East Coast and told him I did not need a new compressor and that it was fixed. He said he was sorry about misdiagnosis of system.
Description of Work: System Diagnosis found expansion valve bad. Came back with expansion valve and said that was not the problem, but the compressor was bad. Cost high $3,000.00. Diagnosis $175.00. Call another A/C company and they came and fixed it the same day. Bad expansion valve. Cost $320.00. East Coast tried to sell me something I did not need to increase their profit.

+ -1 moreThe owner is great and most of the time he is the one that comes out on the job. If you have an emergency he will be right there. They are reliable, fair, and honest.
