ALLEN'S TREE SVC & FIREPLACE

They left the wood in MY yard. I went to them while they were dropping the wood in my yard and driving through my wet and saoking yard, they essentially told me to shut up. I still have huge tire tracks from their truck in MY yard. They could have used my neighbor's yard. They called me F------- old man.

I waited all day for the delivery to take place. When I called to ask if the person answering the phone could call the guys on the delivery truck to see when they would arrive I was told no. The guys arrived after dark so I could not see the wood that well. I had them stack it. The wood is not seasoned. It will not burn, even after sitting in the fireplace for 3 hours with fatwood and a 3 hour log burning. It just keeps steaming out moisture. When I called back to complain, the guy answering the phone seemed drunk. He said he would bring some other wood the next day, no one showed up. This wood may be ready for my fireplace this time next year. What a waste of money!

We had a large double trunk oak tree in a tight area between a fence and our house. Allen's crew was very professional, safe and thorough. Our pool pump, and filter is next to the tree and they were very careful not to cause any damage. They cleaned up as they went along and left my yard in good condition. We had a wait a little while for the stump to be ground due to the weather, but again it was done very professionally and safely. I highly recommend them

I have been using Allen Tree Service since I bought my house six years ago. It is a family business. Ken comes out and does the estimates. His son supervises the work and is often up in the trees cutting. I have always found their prices to be reasonable. The final price always matches the estimate, they arrive when they say they will, and they clean up after their work. They are friendly people and Ken will bring his dog with him because he knows it is OK with me. In the past they have removed trees, trimmed trees, ground stumps, and even ground down the base of an old clump of bamboo for me. I allow them to make their own judgments about trimming some of the trees and they do a good job. They also tolerate the fact that I adore a couple of my trees and allow me to approve (nod) or disapprove (shake of head) before they trim those branches. Not too many tree services would show this level of customer service! On their most recent visit, a neighbor's small pine tree was leaning precariously over my fence after a big storm. They used their lift device to remove it without damage to my wooden fence below it. They also did a very nice job of trimming the trees around the house and blowing off the roof. I will have them back this fall for another round of trimming. I would also like to note that they have been very willing to work around my schedule. They have come out on Saturdays when I have to work during the week. Also, a couple of years ago we had a septic field emergency. A large tree had to be removed to make room for the larger spectic field. Not only did they come right away, they also put up with the hawks who were nesting in a nearby tree!

This work was done on a short sale home that we had just putchased for investment. The yard had been neglected for a long, long time resulting in a yard that was so overgrown we could not have tackled this by ourselves. The sycamore tree in the back yard had to have been close to 100 ft tall and had to be climbed in order to be taken down. We could not have asked for anything more. Crew arrived slightly late due to a tree on house emergency in another town. They did an exceptional job, worked hard and cleared the yard of debris. This was a HUGE job done over the course of 2 1/2 days.

I had a bad experience with them. I would never recommend them to anybody. They were not here on time. They never called. They showed up one day and had the equipments upfront. They never started the work. They came out to give me an estimate. His guys came and stared the work. I wasn’t happy with their service. One guy called me for money and I told him to finish the job and then I would pay. He said that they were done and I told him that the work wasn’t done. We went just round and round. Few days later, he came back and finished the job and I paid him. Their price was reasonable and that’s the reason I picked him. I would rather pay little more and get someone else. He is not a tree service, he is a butcher. I would never use them again.
