They came with a whole lot of people wandering around. It was the lady, her mom, her daughters, her husband. I know this because they cancelled the day I needed it done . They kept saying they would return my money. Call after call after call were ignored. They said the check was "in the mail. Then she said that the cleaning had run over (cost more, took more time). She said it because her family was inexperienced. Bottom line, they took my money and I ended up paying $600.00 to clean a three bedroom house. It was not an episode of hoarding but it did need a good cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and mopping etc. BOTTOM LINE- THEY ROBBED ME!
Description of Work: I was living in NY and wanted to have my fiancé 's house cleaned before my daughter and I went down to Florida. I contacted this service and negotiate a rare. I had to send a deposit so they would do the work.. they called me and stated they hadn't got the check. So I sent another. I don't know why I didn't stop payment. WRONG COMPANY AGAIN !!!!!!! OK so this is really a problem that Angie's List refuses to solve. This is the third spurious review that has been posted on our Angie's list page. We are based in Port Charlotte Florida. We are not in New York. We are a Cleaning Company not a Mother and Daughter cleaning service. We have approximately 13 Maid associates that work really hard to earn a living to feed their families. All of our Maids have to study the 5 key elements of Home cleaning. They have to pass written tests and Pass field assessments before they can move through the training. They have to graduate Maid university to achieve Maid status. My husband does not do cleaning he is responsible for the marketing and let me say he is seriously re-considering the investment we have made in Angie's list. It appears that Angie's List do not validate the reviews and profess that they can do nothing about removing these defamatory statements. I am not even convinced that this is a genuine review at all. If it is, I do feel sorry for the lady concerned It is unfortunate that almost anyone can start a cleaning company. There are no licenses no minimum requirements all you need is a truck, a mop and a bucket and there you go. These type of companies pop up and disappear overnight. They think, "How hard can it be" well when they find hard it is they vanish in a moment. They usually are cheap because they don't pay all their taxes and keep it all under the table. They are the scourge of the industry. I just wish she had taken the time to make sure her comments are attributed to the right company because this could effect my business and the Maids I employ.. This review is of a cleaning service carried out by a family of cleaners, Husbands, mothers daughters and who knows who. You only need to look at the photos on our site here to see that is not how we operate. Since Angie's list has become a "free to use" service the veracity of their reviews have become highly suspicious. They now generate much of their revenues from businesses that advertise with them or use their merchant services. It used to be that you could trust the reviews because only members could uses the site nowadays anyone can post anything they want. I have tried in vain for Angie's List to remove this libelous review but they do nothing. I have no option other than to respond to this review so that genuine potential clients can read this response and make their own judgement. Of Course it is quite likely that Angie's list will remove my response as it doesn't show them in a very good light but i have to try. in closing I would ask that you perhaps take the reviews on Angie's list with more than a grain of salt. They have no honour and do not care if the real bad company is bought to the attention of the public as long as someone does. Angie's List you should be ashamed of what you have become. Dear Member, Thank you for your feedback. We know we can always learn from feedback both good and not so good. I did want to respond to your comments though as they do feel somewhat harsh. You graded us a “C” for responsiveness. In fact your wife contacted us on the 27th of April and asked if we could give you a price for a move in clean here in Florida. As you were still in Ohio she said she would ask your realtor to let us in to look the property over. She mentioned that you had not been totally happy with your realtor so asked that we let her know if the Realtor hadn’t been in touch within two days. He contacted us on the 29th and we arranged to visit the property at 9:15 on March 30th. Following the on-site inspection we called later that afternoon and spoke to your wife giving her our price for service. You said in your review the cost was $800 however the cost was in fact $699.86 for a deep clean of the property. We also gave a price of $199.00 for cleaning all the carpets. We offered you a further discount of $40 if you scheduled the deep clean and the carpet clean on the same day. Your Wife said it seemed it was a little higher than she expected and that she would get back to us and let us know. The only response we had from you was this review. I’m not sure how we could have been more responsive? I’m not sure when you last saw the property so maybe things had worsen since then but in my professional opinion it required more than a quick clean and sanitize. The baseboards, door frames, door moldings and door jams required hand washing. All the touch points needed hand cleaning and disinfecting. Much of the kitchen was coated with a sticky greasy film, The interior of the drawers and cupboards had food crumbs and showed potential evidence of a previous pest problem. The kitchen cupboards and drawer handles were also tacky. The stove-top was in need of a severe clean and the oven was pretty bad. The tubs and shower stalls had an ingrained blackened residue on the floors that would have required us to use out Vapor cleaner to ensure that it was clean and disinfected. A build up of soap residues was visible on many surfaces in the bathrooms. The commodes were heavily stained. In the common areas, cleaning the veiled fabric blinds that were on a number of the windows would also have been very time consuming. With high ledges that were very dusty and fan blades that required washing by hand I estimated we would need a team of three maids to work fastidiously for 4 hours and 40 mins. Our service is very detailed and, as the reviews by actual clients show, provides true value for money. Our Maids work very hard and we feel they deserve to be paid accordingly. I feel our prices are a fair reflection of the service we provide. Unfortunately you did not choose our service for your move in clean so I guess you will never really know. What I don't understand how you can rate us as "F" without ever experiencing it? I am sorry that you think our price was too high for you or that we were in some way ageist? I can assure you that when we take details from a potential client, their age is irrelevant. I am often contacted by clients for help after they have experienced the low ball, uninsured, under the counter cleaners. Usually they've been offered a Super Deep Clean for $199, which at the time appeared too good to be true. In reality they find that all they get is two girls for a hour and a half, a mop and a bucket and a surface clean in some of the house. Now that sounds silly. In closing although you also said the carpets just needed to be swept. Upon closer inspection of the carpet I found that the fibers were compressed and really quite soiled in the high traffic areas. As there were some spots in a couple of the rooms, as a courtesy, we provided a quote for carpet cleaning as a completely separate and stand alone service. I appologise for such a lengthy reply but I feel that the opinions expressed by the reviewer, were more about the value one person places on cleaning services, rather than how good, bad or indifferent my maids are.

I cannot make any excuses for missing your request for information regarding your aunt's Lake Suzy Property. As soon as I became aware of your review I checked our email log and sure enough on Nov 5th There it was very clearly asking us to contact you to provide information about cleaning your aunts home. It had been opened and read but unfortunately it had then been misfiled in our system. We do have a process here in the office that 99 times out of 100 seems to work fine. Unfortunately this time it let us down and ultimately meant that me did not respond to your request and for that I am sorry. I can only assume that you have had the property cleaned by now (after such a long delay) however, if you would allow You've Got MAIDS to help you with your aunts cleaning in the future we will pay for half the cost of the first service. Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. Had you not done so I would never had found out about this crack in our system so would not have been able to fix it. Fabulous job! Drew and his assistant made the carpets look like NEW and that was NOT an easy job. The carpet and tile was filthy and old and he made them shiny and new. I was duly impressed. I got a discount for having the whole house/floors cleaned and thought the price was probably very fair because it was a big job and the floors were filthy and there was virtual, I took into account there was no furniture so there was a lot of carpet. He cleaned 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room, 2 bath floors, kitchen and den were all tiled. The problem in one room was a cat had lived there and the room had a terrible odor before the cleaning. Drew got the odor out! Thanks Drew! AND there were rust spots on the beige carpet in the living room, he got those out too. In addition the equipment he used did not leave the carpet wet, very nice. No after smell either. Great job would call them again.

Marion has a great team. They are very respectful, helpful, and always open to suggestions to make things better. One day something broke (it happens) but they left me a beautiful note along with the pieces so I could have the trivet repaired. That takes a lot of courage and professionalism. Marion must be training them well. Also I have asked them to be more careful around delicate furniture corners and they take constructive advice very well. How many maids have you had that that get defensive, not this company. I messed up one week when I had the water shut off and the electricity was out (transformer blew) while I was on vacation. They helped me by working with me and trying their best to work around these issues. They came back as soon as they could to finish what they could no do on the day the electricity was out. They were extremely accommodating. Marion was so nice and accommodating even though she had to reschedule her girls to accommodate me. It was also very comforting to know she was watching out for the house while I was away and offered to come to back to make sure everything was all right. That was above and beyond the call of duty. Marion has the patience of a saint (thank you Marion). The girls are special by leaving me towel art, from swans to elephants. to their own designs. They always seem of find way to turn an ordinary towel into a work of art. Thanks girls. Katheryn

Description of Work: This is the most professional cleaning service I have dealt with in the four years I have lived in Florida. I encountered a lot of bad examples before I found a this wonderful company. They do excellent work and offer consistent quality. Requests are handled professionally and phone calls are returned promptly. Also, the employees are treated as professionals and they behave accordingly. A pleasure to deal with, I would not change services even for a lower price.

Description of Work: I hired this cleaning company to come in and clean a two bedroom two bath kitchen and office home. They were late. I told them that a professional carpet and tile floor company would be cleaning the floors/carpet. To just do a light vacuum but do not mop etc. I expected the bathrooms and the kitchen including the refrigerator to be clean and please wipe out the cabinets of all the drawers. In my thoughts their job now was cut considerably. The two women came in and started cleaning the master bath, and engaging in personal conversation which I had to listen to. One was seeking advise from the other. When they were finished with the bathroom I asked them if they were done and they said yes. I went in and found that the mirrors were not done they did not clean the shower doors which I had already taken off for them for the ease of cleaning, they did not clean the back board behind the marble sink, nor wipe out the drawers or medicine chest. Due to my objections they called the owner without my knowledge. The next thing I knew this woman was standing in the middle of my living room. I asked who are you, and she said I'm the owner of this cleaning business. She said I heard that you were not happy. Ice told her what happened with the bathroom and then I suggested to her that I didn't understand why the conversation between these two women were one was happening, too why one was waiting for the other one to be finished before the other one in the cleaning. For instance one would be doing the countertop for the other one was standing behind her with the vacuum cleaner having a conversation and waiting for the one that was doing the countertop to be finished to move out of the way to the other one could vacuum. I don't understand when you're paying two people to come in to clean the home why both are not working at the same time. I don't get why one should be waiting for the other one to be finished so that they could trade places to move on to the next task. I personally would have had one person one bathroom and one person other bathroom that to me would be logical but when I explained this to the owner she said and I quote if you're going to be picky about it .......and the expression on my face made her be quiet in mid sentence. I could not believe the audacity that she would say such a statement to her customer. They are coming in to do professional job and to have this response to something thing so ineffective and so poorly done. Now I am furious. At that moment I just looked at her and said excuse me you're asking if I am picky about it and she started to apologize and back peddle. At that point I just asked her to leave politely and then she started talking again. I asked her to leave again she still started talking and apologizing. I told her to get out of my house or I was going to throw her out. I then proceeded to call a friend of mine which and then we spent four to five hours cleaning the house from top to bottom including shampooing the carpets. Would I recommend them ........absolutely NOT!! |

Dear [Member Name], I was very upset to hear how you were treated by your cleaning company. I hate it when cleaning services act so unprofessionally. It simple demeans the whole industry. One of the things we pride ourselves on is our customer service so Initially I was shocked to see the F Review. Then I checked the name of the client to see how we could make things right and it all became clear. We have not in fact done any work for this lady. When I read the whole review it didn't make sense. First of all we work in teams of three maids, with a team leader and two maid associates. We do have a process that we use which does actually involve having a maid working in different parts of the home all coming together at the end with the final vacuuming and mopping as we work our way out of the property. Then I checked our database and we do not have any record of the clients name, or address. Which we would have to have for us to be able to produce the computer generated work order. Finally as this was only Monday of last week I know there is some confusion as our teams were all busy cleaning other clients all day and I didn't leave the office at all. Here's the thing, I do believe this must simply be a mix up with company names or perhaps a rival trying to affect our high rating on Angie's list. But this is what I would like to do for this lady. Please call me in the office on 941 979 8462. I would like to restore your faith in You've got Maids and even though this review is not for my company I feel bad for you and disappointed that any cleaning company would treat you this way. So let me arrange an in home estimate for a one time clean at your home and I will offer you a 50% discount on the normal price. Please just look at the other reviews we have received and ask yourself how they be so different in just a few days. In the area we have; you got it maid, merry maids,royal maids, maid pro Molly maids the list goes on. Ps I was serious about my offer of a 50% discount. Why not find out what everyone else is raving about.

I was not real happy with this company. The service was hit or miss; most of the time it was a miss. The girls that went into the bathrooms did not clean them. Sometimes the service was good and sometimes it was not very good. I will not use them again in the future.

I was very saddened to see this message from this client. I had been providing her and her family of cats with Bi Weekly Maid service since August right up to January. A team of two or sometimes three Maids serviced her home every other week and had thought that she was pleased with the service they were providing. She did not mention any of her concerns during our regular pre service calls that I always make the day before service. I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee to everyone so if she had mentioned any of her concerns at any time My Maids would have gladly returned to her home and dealt with them. I do this because it’s impossible to be perfect all the time and I have to accept that maids can make mistakes and occasionally miss something. It is true to say there were some challenges that her rather extended feline family presented on a regular basis. The cats would wander through the property during service being inquisitive and cat like. Occasionally presenting little accidents and so on that my ladies dealt with in a truly professional manner always doing the best job they could. They actually believed they were improving this client’s home environment each time they visited so I am sure they will be equally disappointed to see that they did not please every time. We would welcome the opportunity to revisit her as I really don’t like to think that any client is dissatisfied. Marion & Drew Denby
