We used this company when we had our new AC installed in or around June of 2017. They were initially good but we had problems with the system from the beginning. Their original Tech Chad was wonderful, always willing to go above and beyond to help us out. Unbeknownst to me, the company was sold. On May 2, 2023 our AC was not running right again and the temperature on the house was 85 degrees. We called and I asked for Chad and was informed he was no longer with the company. They sent another tech to our house who there in a pound of gas and left which cost me $191.08. No diagnostics, just freon. It worked but lasted a day and a half. They sent the same tech to our house on May 4 2023 who stated we may have a leak. He checked and there was no leak. He looked at the coil which he claimed was filthy and said he could replace the coil for $800 or just over that amount or he could pull the coil out and hose it off in our driveway. Now, we do have dogs as a disclaimer. However when he showed me the coil I could see that it was a bit dirty as it had been 11 months since we had a new coil installed. But, the coil was not filthy, no dog hair, etc. We change our filters if not once a week, at least every two weeks. We like our house clean! I was charged $694.00 for this service. The AC worked again. On May 8, 2023... same issue the house was at 84 degrees again. The unit outside sounded a little slow per my husband and he did mention it to the owner that responded to our house. The owner found out the actual problem was the capacitor, and he also added booster to the tune of $247.00. The AC has worked fine since. When I questioned him why this was not found the first time the tech came out, or even the second time the tech came out, he danced all around the question with no real answer. I told him I could have save upwards of $900 on wasted time and things that did not need to be done, it could have been fixed the first time for the $247.00. Everything he kept saying was "it's a separate issue". Well, then why wasn't the separate issue fixed the first time but he could not answer that. So here we are at almost $1100 for a $247.00 fix. Stay away from this company. I called my realtor and he said the same, the company was bought out and they are only after money. Then, I leave factual reviews on Google etc. so as to warn other customers and he slandered us publicly stating "I'm sorry about your financial issues". My financial issues are because I just wasted a good bit of money on this company. I never asked for a refund but I have spoken with our attorney and filed a BBB complaint. If I must move further, I will. The decent thing to do would be to at least refund the $694 for work that did not need to be done. Other than that, if they can't do the right thing we will never use them again. Ever. If I have to push the issue, I will. The benefit of having an attorney in the family.

A friend recommended Tiscio AC and said he paid $49.00 for an annual service/cleaning. When I called to set up a time, I was advised it was $79.95 and they needed our credit card to schedule a visit. The tech they sent was very polite, but when he saw where our AC was located, he was not happy. Our AC is in a laundry/utility closet. He drained the pipe, looked around and then removed the AC panel to get inside the unit. He immediately told us we had mold and that he would not work on the system. He said he was not jeopardizing his health and we should not be breathing the air. He put the door back on, looked at our compressor outside and then he left. He was here about 30 minutes. We were very upset about the mold andcalled an emergency services/restoration company. They sent a first responder from Sarasota who arrived an hour later. After inspecting the system, the rep said there was no mold, it was just dusty and dirty. She said an AC tech should know that and clean it, stating "That's what AC techs do" when they service and clean a system. I called Tiscio AC and told them what the findings were and asked if we would get a refund since their tech did very little when he was here. Their office person said his report indicated he had checked everything, all was well except for mold. Since the readings were ok, he did not need to clean the unit. She said we would not get a refund. We then had a different AC company come in to service/clean the system. Two men came and confirmed it was dust and not mold. Two hours later they had inspected everything, cleaned the system, and were on their way. It was a more expensive visit, but we know our system is now clean and inspected. Before I scheduled the appointment with Tiscio AC, I checked their online reviews and found a 5-star rating. I do not like to post negative reviews without a company first having the chance to fix a problem. I wrote to the owner and explained what had occurred and asked for a refund or to contact me. It has been ten days with no response. Therefore, I am posting this review.

It was not running and was out of warranty and they helped me with the cost with a discount. They were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again. .
