Jeff was prompt and courteous. He listened to our ideas and offered feedback. When he left, he promised to get back to us within a few days. He did contact us shortly thereafter, but declined to pursue the job.

Went well, good price, all completed as asked in a timely manner. Called him back to replace a broken trim piece that we broke over the winter with a shovel, and he took care of it with no problem.

He responded promptly to inquiry. He came out and looked at our old deck. Was knowledgable and gave us good idea of the scope of work and how the job would be done. The only reason we did not use him is that we also needed a lot of other work done and ended up hiring a general contractor that could do the entire scope if work( plumbing doors, siding). We would use him in the future for any deck needs.

I wanted to build a new deck, but decided I needed help getting it framed correctly. I called Jeff for help. He came over, listened to what I wanted to create, offered some suggestions that I hadn't thought of, took measurements, gave me a list of materials that I would need to order and showed me where to install the new footings. Once the footings were in the ground and the material was delivered, Jeff came back and went to work. He started in the morning and by mid-afternoon, my new deck was framed out. I was blown away. If you want someone to build your deck who knows what he's doing, Jeff is the only person to call. Thanks Jeff!

Fantastic! After reading so many positive reviews about "the Deck Man" we were looking forward to meeting him. Jeff visited the site when we were off cape. He provided a written estimate and proposed drawing and sent it to us via email. He agreed to meet in person to review the estimate and answer any questions. When we met in person, we agreed to some modifications to the plan and asked Jeff if he could complete the work before the end of June, 2013. Jeff promptly got back to us and confirmed he could complete the work by our desired deadline. Once started, it took about one-week to build and everything went according to plan -- including completion by our deadline. Jeff has a very friendly, easy going style. Where we live off cape, he sent us emails with pictures each day showing us the progress of the deck. He was a pleasure to work with. We are entirely pleased with the project and have no reservations recommending "the Deck Man" for future work.

He was very responsive and very helpful. He had some great designs. It was great. I ended up not building the deck this year; I just decided that I couldn’t afford it. The quote was about $8900. I would have gone with him had I decided to build the deck. I just decided that I didn’t have the money to do it this year. He gave examples of all his work. He sent me a bunch of photos of similar decks that he had built in the past, which was very helpful.

Responsive, punctual, reasonable. Jeff came and gave an estimate that was far more reasonable than other quotes I received. He did not try to sell me on unnecessary structural support improvements. He did an outstanding job, cleaning up as he went. He goes above and beyond, replacing an step down to the beach that he saw needing replacement. This was a big job as the deck is about 600 sq ft over the water. He used stainless steel cabling and railing and post wraps providing suggestions to minimize cost and maintenance. We also added to his scope when he suggested improvements for an adjacent patio railing. The overall look and workmanship was great. He sent pictures everyday so I could see the progress since I was not on site. He's also just a pleasure to work with. I am using Jeff for another deck this fall.

We got two estimates and The Deck Man's price was a little higher, but we are going with him because of his timeliness. He is going to start in April or May and the other company was going to start in June or July. They were fine. They came as scheduled and was always punctual. They explained what they can do and the different types of wood, pressure treated and that new type. We were very happy with them. They were very professional. They responded within a week, with their estimate. We had a list of questions and he answered them all.

He was fabulous. He was extremely responsive, very detailed, and told us exactly what to expect. He told us ahead of time that there might be some areas that would need some repairs and what to expect around that. He finished the deck at the time he said he would and it came out really nice. His pricing was great as well. He was at least $3000 less.

He did everything on my list-they alllooked great when he was done and even with one thing that was not how I liked it he returned and redid. I ahve referred him to several of my friends. They love his work ethic as much as I did.

After receiving three bids we selected Jeff to do the job. He arrived with the material pre-cut and ready to assemble. It took ~2.5 days to complete the job and it was done exactly as we wanted it. Eight years later it still looks good. I would recommend him.

Terrific from start to finish. He was delayed to our first appointment but persisted in contacting me to notify of his delay. His work was beautiful all done in our absence. His prices were very fair, his workmanship superb. I would recommend Jeff highly. I intend on using his services over the winter on some other projects

Considered both a deck extension and the creation of a stone patio. The deck was surprisingly affordable relative to the patio option. Deck man was prompt in providing the quote and completing the work. We are very satisfied with the results.

It took a few days to get an estimate from the Deck Man. He provided picture examples of his work and a list of references. I called two of the names and they could not be happier. One person had used him eight times and was using him at that time. I accepted the estimate and paid 10% down. He delayed starting the project by about 5 days due to rain holding up his then current project. He answered e-mails and telephone calls about the starting date delays promptly. I met him at this second house when he started the project and gave him 40% of the estimate. I went home to wait for for him to finish. He sent photographs of his progress via e-mail. I asked about replacing a window while he was there. He looked at it, got price and we agreed to the additional work. I met him at the house on his last day and paid for the rest of the job. The Deck Man, Jeff Hennemuth, was very pleassant to talk with about the project and about what was happening locally while I was away from the house. He did everything that I expected for the project. He cleaned up the area well afterwards. There was a lot of small wood pieces from the deteriorated sections of the old deck. The quality of the work is way above average. I would hire him again without reservation.

We are extremely pleased with the additions to our deck and garden. Jeff is very good at problem-solving and can give creative design suggestions. In addition, he is easy to work with and very professional (prompt, completes work in a timely fashion.) His prices are fair and his work is excellent..
