Very displeased with Suncastle Roofing. I got quotes from 4 roofers, based on online reviews. Suncastle had the shortest waiting list, so I went with them. The contract included cleaning up debris, so I assumed they would leave my yard clean and safe. NOT. 1). After job was “finished”, I started looking in my yard, and found plenty of trash - and a minefield of nails. The worst ones were from the old roof they removed. They were rusty and had 1” spikes. I “found” some when I stepped on them, and they went through my shoes, into my feet. When I had found 30 nails, I took photos and emailed them with my concern. NO response - except for a bill sent one day after the job, stating that if I did not pay in 14 days (even though they had not cleaned up my yard), I was subject to an 18% late fee (!!). 2). Since my minefield/yard was dangerous for me and my dog, I spent hours on my knees on several hot days finding nails. Finally, TWELVE DAYS after the job, they sent an unannounced “clean-up” crew. I speak Spanish, and one of the crew told me they had been “tired” when they finished the roof. Unbelievable. 3. Wait, there’s more! AFTER they “completed” the clean-up and left, I personally found FIFTY MORE nails they left, for a total (so far) of ONE HUNDRED nails in my yard. 4. Wait, there’s more! The office manager calls me to tell me the boss offered me a refund of $100 for my “trouble” - a DISCOUNT OF LESS THAN ONE PERCENT. I would have used highly-recommended Kuykendall Roofing or CW’s Quality Roofing. Their estimates were thousands of dollars less, but they had longer waiting lists. I should have waited.

Two years ago, Suncastle replaced a skylight,and 3 feet surrounding it, on our roof for $1900. Seemed really expensive, but I assumed I was getting a top quality job for that kind of money. About eighteen months later, the roof looked like it was leaking again. The recent heavy rain confirmed that, and Suncastle came out and looked, said the new leak was 6 inches from the skylight (an area they repaired), and quoted $1200 to repair the new leak. I called the owner to discuss, thinking I might get a break on what seemed a high quote for something they repaired not that long ago. He was nice enough, but said the warranty was one year, end of story. I’m not complaining about the warranty, it is what it is. But, when an expensive repair on a top quality roof goes bad in eighteen months, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to give them low marks for capability and workmanship.

The flat roof they installed in 2016 huge puddles all the gravel is washing in the gutters. I called them the manager said someone will call me and look at the roof no one ever did. There no hassel warranty is useless. Dont hire them unless you want to pay for a roof every few years. Thanks Ray

If you’re looking for a professional, reliable, and competitively - but reasonably priced roofing contractor, look no further than Suncastle roofing. I received my estimate and had my roof done in less than a week. The crew not only arrived on time, they got to work immediately and completed my entire roof in a very timely fashion. Alex, the owner, was easy to communicate with and easy to reach, which is very important to me. I can’t recommend Suncastle roofing enough.

We are extremely pleased with our experience with Suncastle Roofing. The estimate was scheduled within a couple days of our call, and the work within a couple of weeks after deciding to go with their proposal. The workman were all very polite and hard workers, the yard was tarped and the work area was kept orderly. At the end of the job, the clean up of the yard was really good - we expected to have some work to do, but virtually none needed! The owner Alex checked in on the job at the start and after the completion to make sure we were satisfied. We are recommending them to our neighbors!

My roof was completed as promised and in timely fashion. No complaints about the work done. I would be completely satisfied, but when the final bill was given to me it included a surprise $528.00 charge for wood replacement - over and above the agreed upon estimate. I understand that possible wood replacement can’t be estimated before the job starts, but feel the extra work should have been mentioned to me when it was discovered - not after the job was done and final bill presented. I paid the bill but - not really happy about this. For this reason I’m lowering their grade from A to B. Would I hire again? Possibly.

Tom was one of the roofers that was in charge of this project. It worked out fabulous. He is very intelligent. The previous owner incorrectly repaired the roof from the lightning strike. He repaired the bottom half of the valley instead of the top of valley. Tom took pictures and showed us and did not take advantage of us. The pricing was fair. He was polite, professional, and honest. We will highly recommend him.

Alex showed up with 7 people to start work on the day that he had promised. The crew was most cooperative and did an excellent job. All facets of the work, including deliveries of materials worked like clock work. Thank you, Louis.

I called at least 5 roofing companies to get a price estimate on replacing our roof. Alex from Sun Castle is the ONLY one that came out the same day. The other companies could not get out to us for at least a week for an estimate. We talked to one of our neighbors that used Sun Castle and they were very pleased, so we decided to hire them. Their roofing team was there to replace our roof within days. It only took two days from start to finish. They did an awesome job! I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall, the process went very well. The work was good quality, completed on time and at the estimated price, with no surprises. Jimmy and the office personnel were easy to reach and were responsive when I had questions. Good job and I would call on them again.

Started work as promised & showed up with a 10 person crew and was finished in no time.. Satisfactory Cleanup after completion.

I would highly recommend Suncastle Roofing. We were very pleased with the professionalism of Alex and his staff. Contract was signed on the January 13th; work began on January 18 and completed on January 20, 2016. Upon completion, you would have never known that we had the roof replaced. The crew was wonderful, they picked up all debris and left premises as clean as a whistle. This company most definitely takes pride in their work and service. We were extremely happy with their price and the prompt service. In our view, a "world class" company!!! Highly recommend.

The crew arrives and gets to work - they are professional and do a GREAT job! We have used Alex and his crew for many houses in North Port and surrounding area. They are always priced right and do a great job. Alex goes above and beyond to make his customers happy! I highly recommend Suncastle Roofing!

This crew was great! Arrived on time, worked steadily until the work was done. They were efficient and we have been completely satisfied with the quality of the work. We plan to use them again soon for re-roofing another small property we own.

The Sarasota area had been experiencing periods of very heavy rain for several days. We noticed a few drops of water on the stairs during one of the rain storms. We were hoping it was just wind driven rain entering through a roof vent. But during another rain we noticed a few more drops entering through the ceiling. It was a Saturday. We never had any problems with roof leaks before. We called about a dozen roofing contractors and left messages with each one. Most of the contractors called back on Monday and were very courteous. Unfortunately due to the heavy rains, most of the contractors were very backed up and were scheduling work as far out as 2-3 weeks. Suncastle Roofing was the first contractor to call back. Tom Lautner was out the same day to inspect the roof. He quickly identified the area of the leak. The work was scheduled the following day. Tom and Steve (the installer) were out at 7:30 am the next morning to do the work. They performed the repair and were done before noon. Tom, Steve and the other people I spoke with on the phone were extremely professional and responsive. I would absolutely use Suncastle again and unresistingly recommend them to any other homeowner.

Suncastle came on time, worked hard, and did the job they said they would do... couldn't ask for anything any better. We appreciate their efficiency and would definitely recommend them.

We had a small leak in the ceiling. We called Alex at Suncastle Roofing. He came in a few hours to evaluate the situation. It took 2 days for the permit and materials. A rain storm caused the small leak to become 8 leaks. He did the entire repair in 6 hours. He explained what was wrong and took photos on the roof to show us. He showed us samples of the materials he used. We are very pleased. There have been no more leaks.

Alex's crew arrived early and had the entire old roof removed before 9:00 am (which is important with all the rain in the late afternoon) his crew worked and had the entire new roof installed by early afternoon (before the rain showers!). The crew was very professional, they had the guys on the roof working and a team of guys on the ground below cleaning up and making sure all debris was removed from the yard. They spent a lot of time making sure all the nails and debris was cleaned up. We have hired Alex with Suncastle Roofing several times and he is always professional, on time and great price!

At direction of insurance company, needed "rolled" roof replaced. Contacted several roofing companies and received quotes. Suncastle was very competitive in its pricing with quality product (shingled roof). Signed contract with them on 12/26/2011; were on site removing rolled roof on Weds 12/28/11 started replacement same day; had to wait for government inspector for approval on Thursday on work completed and actual roof was completed on Thursday following inspection. Suncastle crew arrived on site promptly at time designated; kept a very clean worksite; quality workmanship and product. They could not have improved on anything ---- excellent job. Highly recommend.

After receiving estimates from three other well-known area roofers, someone with a great deal of experience in home construction and inspections recommended that I contact Alex, owner of Suncastle Roofing. The previous estimates I received varied greatly in price, and services, recommending many other features that we and quot;mustand quot; have to protect our home - such as more, and fancier, roof vents, tons of added insulation, special materials, etc. After contacting Alex, I received a and quot;no nonsenseand quot; estimate within two days.. The estimate was very reasonable. Prior to the work being done, my questions were promptly answered, and references were provided and checked (each person contacted was very positive about their experience). Once we decided to contract Suncastle, the work was completed within 8 days. The actual onsite work took place over 2 and 1/2 days. The crew was thorough, and cleaned up the yard each day. This is a family owned company. You deal directly with Alex, the owner, his wife, Olga, and their family crew. They showed up when they said they were going to and did exactly what they said they were going to. The entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent.
