Safe and Sound Security and Fire Systems, Inc

Our builder gave us the lead on this local company. We met with them and accepted their quote for security and structured wiring. We did not want outside cameras but agreed to the installation of 4 drops to be capped for future cameras. We paid for the first three months of monitoring and gave a $2100 deposit. It was their responsibility to co-ordinate the installation schedule with the builder. Safe and Sound installed the security system and the 4 drops but they did not cap them. There were wires hanging out of the 4 corners of the house. They called a meeting to tell us that when they returned at a later date to install the structured wiring, it had already been done by the builder's electrician. There was an obvious lack of communication. Because we paid half in advance, we had a credit of $210. We said we'd be happy to call it even if they would cap the 4 drops, show us how to work the security system (they left us no manuals) and initiate our monitoring service. That was 3 months ago. Our attempts to communicate with Greg Dalton have been fruitless. When I emailed him my concerns he would reply with "Thank you. I'll let you know." And then here would be weeks of silence. In the two instances I was able to talk with him he gave me assurances that he would take care of the drops and the security system. That didn't happen. To sum up, we have a brand new home wired with a security system we cannot operate, a 3 month deposit with a non-existent monitoring company, and 4 bundles of wires hanging out of the eaves of our home. Since we have no service, the first 3 months of monitoring payments bring the credit total to $309. We believe that a company with integrity would never expect a customer to pay for something they didn't get. We believe that a company with a conscience would never walk away from a job they had been paid in good faith, to do. My 73 year old husband insists he's going to climb a ladder and cap those drops. That for me was the last straw. Since Safe and Sound is unreliable, we will look for a reputable company to take over and finish what they walked away from. UPDATE 12-12-17 This is a follow up to the negative review I wrote earlier about this company. They have since returned to cap the exposed wires. Our system is operative but not monitored.

Very prompt and professional service, including accomodation of a very tight time schedule. The system needed to be installed while we were in town for a short visit. They did a very nice installation job and one of the owners came to go over the complete operation of the system with us. I would highly recommend they to any one.
