Provider gave us a 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM pickup and delivery for the item for 1/10/2015. Provider called and said he had picked up the item. This was confirmed by the Seller. Provider said he would be late, due to another delivery requirement at a near by Community. Provider called again around 7:30 PM and said he was having vehicle maintenance problems and couldn't deliver the bar until 2:30 PM on 1/11/2015.
Provider called me at 2:45 PM on 1/11/2015 and said he had some bad news. He related that he had failed to secure the bar by tying it down properly, it fell over and had broken into pieces.
I told him to bring it to me. He arrived around 3:10 PM. I saw that the Bar was in multiple pieces. The wood was marred, cracked and broken. The Marble top had pieces missing from it having shattered. The foot railing was missing. It was a real disaster.
When I told him to put it in my garage, he became upset and refused to do so. He said the only way he would leave the item was to dump it in my yard. He became very belligerent causing me to call our Community Security Officer.
Our Community Security Officer has provided a statement verifying these happenings, to include the Provider's Promise to replace the item, after a handshake agreement between the provider and me. The provider further stated that he would replace the damaged bar with a new one exactly like it.
After many, many attempts to contact the provider, when he did not contact us, I was able to get a promise from him to deliver the replacement item during the 3rd week of January. It never happened.
I tried to get restitution from his Insurance Agency (WHITCO), but they would not provide me with his Insurance Company for me to make a claim.
I contacted my own insurance company and they are receiving no assistance either to date.
This guy does not deserve any positive ratings from Angies' List and should be dropped immediately. No one should trust this Delivery Service.
Even though his Service is listed under the Name of Ron Naile, the Security Officer said his Drivers License had his name as Ron Thomas.
