My wife and I (finally) closed on a short-sale house that had been on the market for nearly two years and vacant even longer.  The pool of the house was a large 16' x 32' concrete pool that had been completely neglected for all this time.  There were cracks on three sides, the lining was coming off in chunks, the remaining water was a morass of stagnant mix of  dark green and black liquid and solid debris.
We sat down with Matt to discuss the complete repair procedure, weigh the options we had, and after deciding to go with A&M over several other proposals, choose the style and color of the pool lining and decorative tiles.  The crew came precisely when scheduled and it was a large crew to efficiently and quickly effect the renovation.
Within a work-week the entire large pool was transformed from a cracked basin of stagnant debris filled ooze to a really beautiful pool that, when filled, reflected a light turquoise aura.  The surrounding deck became a perfect frame for the renovated pool.  The new high efficiency pump plus filter was quiet and effectively running.  The process was completed quickly and efficiently by the A&M crew that took obvious care and responsibility for every facet of the renovation.
Loss of water indicated a leak still existed in the relined pool.  The A&M team led by Matt quickly responded, found and repaired the leak (in the main drain).
We are completely satisfied with the renovated pool and deck and extremely impressed with the professionalism and skill of the A&M team.

After my initial consult with Matt which occurred in the spring of 2012, I had to consider if I wanted to spend that much money and needed time to think about it. I told Matt that, and he didn't harrass me or keep calling me to get my answer. I called Matt back and told hime that I wanted to wait until the fall when I would be ready to make a decision. When I called Matt back to tell him that I did want to discuss the job, he arrived for our meeting promptly and we worked on our proposal. I was so happy that Matt didn't require immediate decisions on colors of everything and that he would allow me to work as we went. Therefore, colors for grout didn't have to be selected until I saw the tile and coping together and could select just the right color that would go well.
Matt and his team were professional, friendly, prompt and addressed every concern that I had during the project. Although I told Matt that he had about 6 weeks before I wanted the pool to be finished, he was able to complete all the work within 30 days.
 
One of my main concerns about contractors is that many of them don't show up when they say the will due to real unforeseen circumstances. I always tell them that a phone call will work wonders and most people don't mind if there is a real problem for them to get to my job that day. During the entire project, if Matt always let me know the status of my work, if someone couldn't make it, and when they would be back. He even made a trip out on Thanksgiving Day to check on the status.
After the work was completed and paid for, Matt made it very clear that he was available for assistance if I had any questions about the work that he had done. I have since called him because of my confusion on how to turn on the spa--Matt has arrived each time to answer my problems and give me detailed instructions.
My pool was transformed under Matt's charge--his team were excellent craftsmen and took pride in their work--they took the time they needed to get excellent results and I already have more work planned for A&M in the fall of 2013.

We received several estimates for the job of resurfacing our badly cracked lanai area around the pool and nearby. A & M estimator, Matt, arrived promptly for the first meeting and met with us several times thereafter to firm up the details of the job. The job was scheduled a couple of months after the proposal was accepted because we wanted the pool to be accessible during the hot months. This was not a problem. On the start date the crew arrived and began to prep the area. The job took several days and during each phase the property was treated with respect. All areas not being addressed were carefully covered to minimize damage.  This involved a lot of labor and there was no scrimping.  All members of the crew worked hard and in a professional manner each and every day.   They had some rainy periods to work around and they managed this with efficiency and forethought.
Sometimes when we hire people to do a job it seems as though they are doing it for the first time and act as though any difficulty encountered will throw them into a tizzy. Not A & M. We had full confidence in them every step of the way. What a relief to know the job was being done right without constant monitoring.
Long story short, the final product was amazing. Worth every penny. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone who needs their services.

Overall we were completely satisfied with all the work performed. Our lanai is completely transformed and the pool work looks outstanding. Because I work from home I was able to watch the crews work very consistently and diligently throughout the entire process. Most notable was the effort to completely clean up and tidy up after every day of work. Considering the very messy kind of work being done that touch was much appreciated. From the initial estimates and negotiations to the finished product I truly cannot find any fault or inconsistency worth mentioning. Ending grade on service and product delivered ,,, A+

It went excellent, from start to finish. No complaints and we would highly recommend A&M Construction.  It's true they do fix ugly pools!  We have lots of before and during and after pictures which I thought I could post but I don't see a way to do that here.

They did a great job. Hard working and the pool turned out fine.

I left a message with Matt late in the afternoon, and he called me back that day.  I asked for an estimate on doing some work on my pool.  He said he had appointments in the area the next day, but could still fit me in.  This initial meeting would be quick as he was committed for several appointments during my time frame.  He arrived the next day exactly on time. I am a total neophyte when it comes to pools, but he walked me through what I thought needed to be done, answered all my questions at the time, said he could meet my timeline of "immediately,"  and said he had to go to another appointment. But as  he left, he gave me all kinds of catalogs and an estimate on what we had discussed.  He also left his contractor and insurance information.  He asked me to get in touch. I had spoken with other contractors, but was impressed with Matt's professionalism.  When I called to tell him I had changed the scope of work, he said "no problem" and that he could still start the next week.  Now I had included demolition of the pebble deck to be replaced with sandstone, and I had added special tile and coating and a new pool light.  I went to look at a pool down the street that the company was just finishing.  It was beautiful. Matt gave me a new estimate, and I said, "Go!" To my amazement, the company actually started pumping out the water and taking off the ugly rim tiles that Friday.  When the next Monday came, I was doubly amazed at how much work had been accomplished before noon.  The entire pebble decking had been jackhammered and removed. All the crew people worked so hard.  And everything is HAND applied; my deck staining was actually applied with a paint brush! When Friday came - 5 days as promised - the pool was filling. I know I called Matt everyday during the job - sometimes more than twice.  He always called me back. I am so impressed with this company and all the people who worked so h****** my pool and deck.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a truly professional job done by people who are kind and considerate and obviously know what they are doing. Thanks, Matt and thanks to all who helped me accomplish this project on time and exactly on estimate.

They were great.  Their service was great.  We were not even there when they did the job.  Their responsiveness, reliability, and workmanship impressed me the most.  I rate them high overall.  I will use them again in the future.
