Lou just quit on me because he is starting a new job. He claims he doesn't owe me a refund for 1/2 month of service, even though I paid $300 for first month of service to de-geeen the pool (even though the month was half over). He never sent an invoice for service. I said I would pay him on the 15th because I believed the $300 covered the first month, including de-greening the pool. The monthly fee was $110. So he was MIA last week, came on Friday (instead of Monday), the promised to be here this week Monday. No show all week. I texted him today and he said, by the way, I'm quitting the pool biz, today is the last day. I asked for a half-month refund (as I had paid thru 8/15) and he said no, he was on a 1st of the month schedule. He also broke the cap of my pool filter and then said, oh, it's broken. It was not broken until he was adjusting it. If he ever gets back in the pool biz, do yourself a favor and don't hire him...

DO NOT hire this person. I like to support small businesses. However, I expect the same work ethic from everyone. Lou seems knowledgeable about pool maintenanceâ ¦. But he went MIA after the hurricane. I understand he may have had issues after the storm (which I am only assuming since I havenâ t heard from him), there has been zero correspondence from him. I have called, texted, even reached out on FB. To make matters worse, I paid him October 1 for the month of October, thinking he would be back after he got squared away. But no- and he did not refund the money back. It has been 5 weeks since Hurricane Ian. Most of Port Charlotte is in good shape. (As awful as this sounds, I even checked obituaries because some people did die from the hurricane). So bottom line- do not hire Lou from Luna Pools.

A gentleman for sure. The only one that would talk without saying that they would come and check out my problem without informing me of a large service call. He told of some things to try . I did and they worked. No high pressure for a service call, only the attitude that he wanted to help me with my situation. He's my tech if I ever have a problem again. I've talked to some neighbors on the situation and they said It's hard to believe someone really wanted to help.
