Harper's

I contracted with Harpers in February, gave them an $8000 deposit and never saw them again. Communication was nearly nil. Now I have learned that Brian White was arrested in Charlotte County for failed contracts with many other customers. AVOID THIS COMPANY!! I have filed a police report in Sarasota County and am waiting for him to be arrested again. BEWARE!!

Worse than horrible. Harper's President Brian White took our money for initial deposit, and never did any work. More than six months later , we are now seeking refund of the monies, but they do not answer phones, respond to texts or emails. We have learned that Brian White has been arrested for non-performance of work, taking payment and not completing work (in our case, not even starting it). This company deserves the lowest possible rating available.

This company is bad news! My and about 30 others who have filed similar court claims, that the take your deposits and don’t do anything, don’t return phone calls, don’t get permits, and won’t return your money unless you beat them in court. Currently Brian White, with his deceptive practices are facing several felonies after his arrest! BEWARE!

Hurricane Ian damaged my house severely as it did to many people in its path. My insurance company, UPC, as well as others went out of business leaving me and many people to foot the bills on their own in spite of proper coverage. I contracted and made a deposit for a pool cage in April of 2023 with a completion time stated as 6-12 months. The work has not been started and my request for a refund has been a cruel game with Brian White and the Keane families.

I would have posted a negative 10 stars but one is all they would let me post. I posted a few months ago regarding anyone having experience using Harper’s Hurricane Protection 1980 LLC. and did get some feedback. I just wanted to post this warning to everyone. Please tell your neighbors and tell them to pass this along to there's. If you are considering doing lanai (pool cage work) drop down hurricane shades or anything Harper’s continues to advertise for, I implore you to find anther Co to do the work! They took $6,500. of our money in May of 2023 for a down payment in a contract to provide us with drop down shades. As of this date being March 2nd 2024 we have received NOTHING but guaranteed installation dates and broken promises. I asked for my money back and Brian the owner said “I’ll wait until I receive a letter from your attorney”! Please refer to the better business bureau and read the many negative reviews. I wish I would have done this prior to believing Isaak (the salesman and Brian the owners son in law) and giving him my $. I’m just letting you know this as I have hours of wasted time working on this since his first guaranteed installation date being Aug. of 2023. Do not sign up for this flipping hassle! Just trying to save everyone the pain I’m having. If I get my $ back. I’ll repost and let you all know. Im just so hurt that you can’t even trust a company that’s been in business for some years. Also, as of today I’m seeing new posts being put on Facebook that are positive. They must be from years ago as everything on BBB is rating of F! When there is so many good competitors doing the same work why gamble and loose your $ like I did. This really stinks. Just writing this took another hour out of my life just saving you guys the crap I’m going through. USE ANYBODY BUT HARPERS Update 3/20/24 Brian received the letter of contract cancelation due to his breach of contract from my attorney. He said he would return my deposit promptly. That was on 3/11/34. Still not a word. Avoid this company at all costs And be sure to tell everyone you know. Run from this Co.! Mark Welle

Harpers rescreened our very large pool cage. They were highly professional throughout the project, and their crew was outstanding. Until we saw their quality of work, we did not realize how poor the previous installation was! They are not the cheapest, but highly recommended!
