D and D Garage Doors

DO NOT waste your time calling D&D Garage Doors. Their outgoing message indicates that your call is important to them, however, they never return your phone call. Finally, after phoning them 3 times with no return phone call, I finally managed to speak to Jenna. Jenna scheduled an appointment for a service technician to come to our business to look at our commercial overhead garage door. On the day of appointment, the technician did not show up at the scheduled time, nor did we receive a telephone call. I called Jenna and was told that the technician was about 15 to 20 minutes away from our business. The technician never showed up and never called, and I never received a call from Jenna or anyone else at D&D Garage Doors. I would never recommend this business to anyone and I will never contact them again. I highly recommend Overhead Doors in Fort Myers, FL. I called them shortly after 8:00 am, and they had a service technician here by 9:30 am.

First call, repaired wheels and cables. 2 days later had to come back to reset a wheel that came loose because track wasn’t closed properly. 3 weeks later overhead spring broke (Friday after 5). Had to have 24 hour service for repair. After questioning following Monday ,basically told “too bad”

I originally agreed to hire another company for the door, but an unresponsive office caused me to cancel and contract with D and D. I'm so glad I did. Their price was $300 less than the other Port Charlotte company. All of the people I came into contact with were very nice and very prompt. There was 1 error in a piece of hardware that they promptly fixed. I am very pleased with the results!

The installer was on time and professional. He quickly identified the problem and offered alternative solutions. We settled on a new model with remote key access and he did not oversell us with more than we were looking for. The installation was fast and efficient. I will hire these folks again when it's time to replace the door.

All went well. Had to relocate ceiling bracket as old rail was two(2) feet longer than the new one. Not a problem for Jeff. He took care of everything and left the work area cleaner than it was when he started. Thanks to Jeff and D & D Garage Doors for a job well done.

Jeremey was very professional and did an excellent job replacing outdated and worn parts of our garage door system. We are so pleased with the new set up and the price was very reasonable.

Since we built the house the garage door would screech every time we opened or closed it. This year one of our neighbors told us about D&D and how they fixed their similar problem. When I called for an appointment they could not have been more accommodating and understanding. They told me they were pretty sure they knew what the problem was and how to fix it. And they did! John came on time, his quote was all up front with no surprises. John when through the entire mechanism made a lot of adjustments and replaced the original rollers with quieter, nylon coated ones. He adjusted the spring and lubricated everything. When he ran it for me, it still made quite a bit of noise. His very professional response was a simple, "let me do it again." After a second go through it made no unexpected noises (and hasn't since). Perhaps more importantly, he took the time to show me exactly were the problems were and how to take care of them myself. It turns out that the kind of door we have (hurricane-proof) has hinges and contract between the door elements that require periodic lubrication. He showed me exactly where to do it and me how. John was terrific.

My husband and I didn't know what was wrong with our garage door, but we assumed it was going to be extremely expensive to repair. Called D&D Garage Doors after seeing the great reviews they have here on Angie's List, and they scheduled a repairman to come take a look and send us a quote immediately. They were able to get to us within two days (and adhere to our schedule so we did not need to miss any work). I got the quote immediately both verbally and through my email, turned out it was just a spring. I called them a few days later to schedule the repair, and again, they were able to get someone out there (adhering to my husband and I's work schedule, again) within two days (and the woman on the phone actually apologized for not being able to get someone out the very next day on our schedule...they did have availability but not within our time window that was best for us). They went ahead and replaced both since one one spring goes the other is likely about to go as well. They were very professional, honest, and pricing was great. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who needs garage door repair or installation services. Thank you D&D!!

My initial contact with D and D Garage Doors was an email through their website. I received a phone call from D and D early the next morning and was given a quote over the phone of $229 to replace both garage door springs. They recommended replacing both springs because of potential failure of the second spring which did make sense. D and D Garage Doors set up an appointment at 11:00am that morning and their technician Mike arrived on time. He first measured and confirmed the size of the springs and started his work. He was courteous and did this repair quickly and efficiently and was finished in under 25 minutes. D and D Garage Doors was my first choice after researching many garage install/repair companies in my area. They had the most satisfied customers and now they have one more. I will definitely use them in the future.

We thought it all went well. So happy we went with D & D. Another company would have taken advantage and charged more than they should. We would recommend them to anyone.

They were very corporative they did a price match on a competitive bid. Not on the same product but on a equivalent project they showed up a day early they did call ahead a time to let me know that. They came to my home before hand to do a visual inspection to make sure my quote my accurate. The installation was good they cleaned up after themselves and did not make a mess the garage door works very well. I have already had compliments on my new new garage door from neighbors and they they have made comments on how quiet it is when opened and closed.
