Better Pools and Spas

Their employee was shifty and didn't provide any definitive answers as to the pool leak. I never got an invoice for money paid, no report or pictures. All were promised to me and I kept phoning the employee asking for them for many weeks. Finally my calls weren't answered since the employee I was calling was fired. In talking to the owner he refused to do anything about correcting the situation and in fact in his email informed me that he "made notes in our system to mark your account as a no service from this point further." Since his worker wouldn't provide me with an invoice for money paid I had him sign a generic receipt. As I mentioned I never received a formal invoice and the owner wouldn't recognize the invoice I scanned and emailed him even though it had his employee's signature. All he said about the invoice was that it wasn't one of his. DUH, of course not I never got one from them even though I asked at least a dozen times for one. Last week I reported his company to the BBB and am waiting for them to contact me within the next month as to how they proceeded and the response they got from the company. I emailed him again May 10th, 2017 telling him that all I wanted was the service I paid for and got no reply. Bottom line is that I can't believe the way that company treated and scammed me. I've never had this kind of treatment from any company I've ever dealt with.

They took care of my leak, job well done. I will use them if needed.

Fantastic. The customer service providers was excellent. The owner was a salesman who inspired trust and called back! He initially gave me an estimate within the budget I asked for with the price for options I asked about. Upon reflection we went with a couple of the options and couldn't be happier with the results. The work was quality, despite an extremely rainy summer it was done within the time frame given. The work is organized with teams coming in to do their part like clockwork. My husband and I were impressed with the workmanship and the professional shown by Better Pools. We love the finished product.

Called Better Pools and Spas with a major leak in my above ground pool. I had called 5 other pool companies to come out and look at my pool and give me an estimate of what I was facing. We had just bought this house and were shocked to find the leak that was dropping our water level 1.5 inches a day. No one would come out in a reasonable time frame to suit me, and their attitude was can't help you, call somebody else. Found Better Pools through Angie's List and was impressed with the reviews. I called and explained my problem. Stan called me back within 15 minutes of my call and said he would have a crew out the next day to diagnose the problem. They arrived 15 minutes early and did a complete check of all the hoses and lines. As I had suspected, the skimmer had failed and was leaking. I called the office again to schedule the repairs, and Stan put me ahead of the pack due to the amount of water we were losing. The crew arrived the next day and completed the work in record time, which was extensive. They had to jack hammer the concrete and cut the skimmer out, not an easy task. The crew was professional, and did their utmost to keep the debris to a minimum , and protect my screened pool cage from collateral damage. We were filling the pool back up by 600 pm that evening (took over 6 hours to fill). The price was spot on with other comparable companies and better than most. While it was an unexpected expense, Stan was gracious enough to give me a couple of weeks to settle up on the bill, and buy me some time to arrange finances. I would not hesitate to recommend Better Pools (and have already done so to 2 people) for any work to be done on a pool. Thank you Stan and your crew. A great job well done. Couldn't be happier.

Great service thus far

My experience with Better Pools and Spas was outstanding. Mike was extremely careful and thorough when doing the analysis of my heater problem. He identified the problem, ordered the needed parts, and came back when he said he would to complete the repair. Stan coordinated everything and his customer service policy is very good when compared to others. I would trust them to repair all my pool equipment because they are fair and honest people. Call them, you won't regret it.

This is an excellent provider. He was called in by our pool renovation company to check out the reason air leaks were present. He was very methodical, professional and knowledgeable. He arrived when he said he would, actually earlier than expected, performed the job and provide valuable input.

He did a good job. He found the leak and patched it. Everything is fine now.
