He was recommended (for some reason - not sure why) by our marble company (whom we like). Absolutely THE WORST work we have seen yet in our renovation. Our first clue should have been when we had to explain how to install the subway tile & chair rail on the powder room wall. And then our second clue should have been that we had to explain how to demo the floors and make them level. We have done this type of work in the past, but wanted someone else to do it for us this time. Although he was asked to level the floors in the powder room, he did not. So the floors are not level and the mosaic hex tile is installed terribly, leaving large gaps between tiles in many places. And many tiles are sitting at an angle to the rest. And it has made for a nightmare installation for the toilet. The subway tile backsplash in the kitchen is crooked (he claimed it was because the floors are not level, but my level says otherwise). The grout work throughout all the rooms is hideous - holes are seen everywhere. And in several places the grout is cracking. And he left a huge mess - we are still finding grout in off-places that have to be cleaned up. He also grouted the outlet and switch covers to the backsplash in the kitchen, which is not the proper thing to do. I'm not sure why he did or where he got the outlet covers from (we did not provide them for him, nor did we instruct him to find them and replace them). Not only have we needed to clean this up, but also to clean where he managed to get grout inside some of the GFCI sockets in the backsplash. He also broke the dimmer switch in the powder room. When he was attempting to demo the floor in the utility room he damaged the hardwood threshold. When asked about it, he tried to blow it off as no big deal. He refused to accept responsibility for anything that he did wrong. He also ripped the chrome pipe out of the powder room wall that we had just paid to have installed (we replaced gold fixtures with chrome). Why? I have no idea - there was absolutely NO NEED to remove the pipe. So now the plumbing is damaged and has to be fixed from inside the wall. So that means that tiles have to be removed and replaced. And last, but certainly not least, he damaged our marble island counter - there is now an obvious etched ring from a work bucket where before there was not one. We asked him about it and he blamed our sheetrock guy (whom we have used several times in the past without one problem). Honestly, there is so much more that I could write that was done incorrectly or very poorly. We are seriously thinking of tearing out the tile in the powder room and having it redone by someone who knows what they are doing. Every time we look at our tile we regret using this contractor. We have pictures if anyone needs to see with their own eyes.

Description of Work: The company that installed our granite counter tops recommended WLM for installing a tile backsplash in our kitchen. We got an estimate for the backsplash and WLM offered to pass along his great tile discounts from the warehouse to us. Due to this, the overall cost of the project was going to be very acceptable and we liked WLM's proposed tile and design. However, due to our funky shaped kitchen, we are unsure if we want to proceed with a backsplash. We have put the project on hold, but if we decide to pursue it, we will be hiring WLM based on his reputation, price, and personal touch.

I hired this company in November 2011 to install a backsplash for my new granite counter tops. I wanted a plain subway tile but was impressed with some of his creative ideas to make it more unique. He designed and cut out some granite pieces from left over granite to accent the tile backsplash. Great result. Have been very pleased. My only issue was the sealer between the tiles and granite behind the faucet didn't hold up and had to be reapplied. Over all, I am very happy with the job.

This project had several bumps in the road before it was completed. It appears that William was in the process of changing vendors he dealt with and was being thrown several curves. Originally he estimated the cost at $2300. He telephoned to say that the vendor making the cabinets needed $300 more to pre-assemble the cabinets which he could not do. We were offered the chance to back out but several weeks had already transpired. Additionally, he had originally detailed the cabinets as two in number with storage underneath but no room for drawers because of the sinks' projection into the area. When the cabinets arrived there were three cabinets, with two doors on each. The middle cabinet could have housed drawers which would have been preferred. However, the cabinets were well made and attractive. When William installed the cabinets he had a mismeasuring situation on the right facing cabinet. He did not properly account for the drain pipe entering in the rear and had to cut and then re-cut. The resulting installation on that cabinet is UGLY from the inside and no attempt to rectify it was made. Ten days later, he returned with the granite vainty top. It is gorgeous. He installed it but left me with more finish work than I had accounted for in the process. I had to re-attach trim work that he improperly installed and I had to do mudding of the wallboard that I had not planned to personally complete. This job took much longer than I anticipated, over five weeks.
Description of Work: William Moody, owner, measured the area to be remodeled and showed samples, installed the cabinets, and returned to install the granite vanity countertop.

I found Mr. Moody through work that he did for my neighbors home and I thought he did very good work. He was on time, very professional and had great ideas. He guided me to material that would last and look beautiful and would go with any color scheme I chose. He showed up on time and started to demo the bathroom. He was clean and efficient and even though I was out of a bathroom for about 7 days, he stayed on schedule and on price. The marble that he chose for me as well as the stone for the back porch is gorgeous. His eye for detail was wonderful and he was willing to go above and beyond for the look I wanted. I did add a few extras and he did those things without adding to my overall price. He was a pleasure to have in my home. Its hard renovating a bath since your stuck without one while it being done, but the experience I had with Mr. Moody made it a pleasant experience. I will definitely use him as soon as I can to do the backsplash in my kitchen.
Description of Work: I needed the finish the floor in the back porch area and my master bath was crumbling. The house is only 5 years old, but the tiles in the shower area were popping out and the floors were staining.
